Nagpakita ng husay at talento ang limang mamamahayag ng The Victorian Herald sa Congressional Schools Press Conference (CSPC 2024) na ginanap kahapon, Disyembre 13, sa Sta. Justina National High School, Buhi, Camarines Sur.

Mahigit sa 30 na pansekondaryang paaralan ang nagtagisan ng husay sa pamamahayag at ang nakakuha ng 1-10 na puwesto ang pasok sa Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC 2025), inaasahang gaganapin sa Pasacao National High School sa susunod na buwan ng Enero.

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿, 𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗼𝘀 𝘀𝗮 𝗩𝗕𝗛𝗦

Sinubok man ng sunod-sunod na bagyo ay matagumpay na naisakatuparan ang pagdaraos ng District Math Fair 2024 ngayong araw, Nobyembre 22, 2024 na isinagawa sa Victor Bernal Provincial High School.

Alinsunod ito sa Division Memorandum No. 416, series of 2024 na may temang "Bicolano Learners and Teachers: MATHatag sa Bagong Pilipinas". Layunin nito na palawakin ang kanilang kasanayan at talino sa larangan ng matematika.

Nilahukan ito ng apat na pansekondaryang paaralan ng distrito, kabilang ang mga sumusunod: Nabua National High School, San Jose Integrated School, Victor Bernal Provincial High School at Lourdes Provincial High School at kabuuang bilang na sampung kalahok na mag-aaral.

Sinimulan ang programa sa ganap na ika-8 ng umaga. Binubuo ito ng tatlong paligsahan: Quiz Bee Math10, Quiz Bee Math12 at E- Modulo Art.

Namayagpag naman ang Nabua National High School matapos masungkit ang unang gantimpala sa 3 patimpalak: Domingo Jay V. Encinas-1st ,Quiz Bee Math10; Richelda R. Labilles-1st, Quiz Bee Math12; Ma. Antonina B. Agnas- 1st, E-Modulo Art.

Ang mga nagwagi sa bawat paligsahan ang lalaban sa Congressional Math Fair 2024 na inaasahang gaganapin sa Tambo National High School-Buhi ngayong darating na Nobyembre 29, 2024.

Sa pamamagitan ng programang ito ay bubuhayin ang husay at galing ng mga mag-aaral at g**o sa matematika, at patuloy na pagsulong sa pagpapataas ng antas ng pagkatuto bilang bahagi ng layunin sa Bagong Pilipinas.

Kasalukuyang nakataas na ang Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 sa ilang bahagi ng probinsiya ng Camarines Sur batay sa pinakahuling buletin ng PAGASA.

Please be informed that suspension of classes is now lifted and given that the weather conditions has improved, Victor Bernal High School decided on the following modes of learning:

This afternoon, November 12, Tuesday, we will have our asynchronous class. Class advisers and subject teachers will send activities so please give time to open your group chats.

Starting tomorrow, November 13, Wednesday, face-to-cace classes will resume in all levels, from Grade 7 to 12. However, considering that our school serves as an evacuation center, we still have few classrooms with evacuees. Classrooms which are still being used as evacuation rooms will still be in asynchronous mode, provided that concerned students will send outputs of the activities given.

Please do understand that whatever we have experienced these past few days, Victor Bernal High School always aim for delivering the best education and likewise prioritize the safety and welfare of students and teachers.

The onslaught of severe Tropical Storm Kristine has brought the highest recorded flood level in the history of our locality, which severely affected many of our students and their families residing in the feathering barangays of Victor Bernal High School - Nabua, particularly in San Vicente Ogbon, San Roque Madawon, San Isidro Inapatan, Sta Cruz, La Opinion and San Antonio Ogbon.

Due to the devastating effects of TS Kristine in the whole community of Victor Bernal High School and its feathering barangays, recovery from the destructive flood which caused significant distress to affected areas, trauma, damaged homes as well as livelihood, remains our outmost priority. Our school community is one of the most affected by this calamity.

In view of this, the face-to-face classes at Victor Bernal PHS will remain suspended UNTIL the suspension of Provincial Government is lifted and other factors to consider are accounted. Ensuring that at the moment we resume classes, students will have a conducive and prepared learning environment. As of today, some of our classrooms are used as evacuation centers for families with homes still submerged in the flood.

We will post updates as we also wait for further announcements. All we wish is for you to be safe, both teachers and students, be physically, emotionally and mentally prepared when we resume classes.

We also would like to request assistance from our students residing nearby to help us clean the campus, organize the classrooms, repair damaged school facilities if we still can. In time, little by little, we will recover. We may have experienced pain in this challenging time but there's always time for healing.

| Patuloy na bumababa na ang tubig-baha sa malaking parte ng Brgy. San Vicente Ogbon ngayong araw at nadadaanan na rin ang ilang kalsada na nalubog sa baha noong pananalasa ng Bagyong Kristine.

Pero nananatiling lubog pa rin ang ilang kabahayan na nasa mabababang lugar.

TINGNAN | Sitwasyon sa Victor Bernal High School at sa Brgy. San Vicente Ogbon pagkatapos ng pananalasa ng nitong miyerkules, October 23 kung saan nalubog sa mataas na baha.

Samantala, bumababa na ang lebel ng tubig-baha sa ilang parte ng Brgy. San Vicente Ogbon ngayong araw ngunit nananatiling lubog pa rin ang ibang parte nito.

Nananawagan rin ng tulong ang mga residenteng lumikas na nasa paaralan ngayon.
