September 09, 2022, we the S.I.K.A.T. PARTYLIST poured out our efforts and energies to profess our good intentions for the school body and the school itself by our room to room campaign.

Campaigning is never easy at all, but thanks to the warm welcome and trust of the students during our campaign, all the exhaustion we felt and the nervousness miraculously vanished. VERSE OF THE DAY

When I am afraid,
I put my trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me?”
-Psalm 56:3-4

Psalms 56:3 says “When I am afraid, I will trust in You.” When you are afraid or scared for what the future may hold, we can trust in God and His plans. God’s plans for your life are bigger and better than you can imagine, and all we have to do is trust in Him and his timing. When you learn to turn to God and trust in Him when you feel uncertain or afraid, you will be amazed at the peace it brings to your life.

So, when you start to feel anxious or afraid, turn to God. Trust in His plans and look forward to the future!

Verse of The Day

John 16:22
22 So with you: Now is your time of grief,(A) but I will see you again(B) and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

Jesus knows that darkness will descend on himself and those he loves. He has tried to prepare them. They cannot imagine what the next four days will entail. They will go from excruciating agony to inexpressible joy. When we face our dark nights, we need to remember that the Holy Spirit who lives in us is our assurance of a dawn of joy, blessing, and triumph.

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”
— Psalm 143:10 NIV

Father, through your good Spirit, please teach me to do your will and to live the life you want me to live in my world — to live to honor the Father just as you did. May your good Spirit lead me on level ground. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Verse of the day

Psalms 150:6
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

Praise is something that wants to be EXPRESSED. Praise isn’t satisfied to think on the worth of something. Praise wants to sing of it, tell of it, tell others about it.

The word “worship” is sometimes a quiet reverance…bowing down to something infinitely great. And sometimes bowing down is silent.

But praise is different. Praise can’t really be silent and still be praise. Praise is expressing the greatness and beauty and excellence of something. When we’re praising God, expressing his greatness and beauty and excellence.

Joshua 1:9
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid;(A) do not be discouraged,(B) for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

These comforting words can apply to all of us as we seek to live a good life and overcome our own unique challenges.

What does it mean to be strong?
Part of being strong and of a good courage means trusting in the Lord as our true source of strength. In Joshua’s case, he didn’t have all the answers for the challenges before him. But he was counseled to go forward anyway, acting in faith. Like Joshua, we seldom have all the answers to our personal challenges. But God promises that when we turn to Him for guidance, we will succeed. God is all-powerful and all-knowing. He has the answers and the strength we need to face any challenge before us. He was with Joshua, and He will be with us.

How can we be strong and of a good courage?
Being strong and courageous usually doesn’t require any grand gestures. More often, it’s made up of small decisions we make every day that show our trust in God. As we prayerfully seek His direction, study His word, and follow His example each day, we will have the courage to let go of fear and face our challenges with faith. As you turn to Jesus Christ in faith and follow His counsel to be strong and of a good courage, you will feel the assurance that He is always with you.

“ For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
— Luke 1:37

No matter where you are today, even if the task at hand seems impossible or like it just won’t work out, trust God. He has a way of working things out exceeding abundantly above all we could ask or think, if we’ll only trust in Him!

So there is a famous saying in philosophy that says, "Life must be understood backward. But it must be lived forward. "

—Soren Kierkegaard

Kierkegaard attempted to illuminate the "reality" of his readers' unique particular existence in most of his writings, including this paragraph. This is not the kind of "fact" that can be easily communicated, or in any direct form at all, because its truth is so elusive that it vanishes as soon as one tries to capture it in a word, phrase, or thought. In other words, the truth cannot be "comprehended." But this "truth" is so vital, profound, and fundamentally urgent for each human being to know for Kierkegaard (and he would strive to make it so for you as well) that he devoted much of his life and genius to attempting to explain it.

I understand that we are all victims of our past, and that we have all been traumatized by what occurred in each of our past events. However, this quote encourages us to value and comprehend every suffering, failure, or tragedy in our past in order to learn something and understand how the past affects us and how it will make us a stronger and more mature person. The most important thing is to keep moving forward and living forward, because the most important thing for all of us is what lies ahead.

SV: Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Psalms 20:4
May He grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans!

“May He grant you according to your heart’s desire…”

When the bible talks about the heart, it doesn’t just mean our emotions or feelings like we often think of today. Instead it’s truly the core of who a person is. And so when this verse talks about our “heart’s desire,” it’s not talking about every single thing we’ve ever wanted in life, every wish and fleeting craving.

It’s referring to our deepest desires and motivations, the thoughts that drive us, the things which occupy our minds. It’s who we are at our rawest. Jesus is very clear that the desires of our heart will be reflected in how we talk and act, and will be reflective of where our priorities in life lie (Matt. 12:34, 6:21).

“…and fulfill all your purpose”
The Berean Study Bible says “make all your plans succeed” and the King James says “fulfill all thy counsel”. The implication here is our intents, what we’re trying to accomplish.

There are technically two ways you could choose to understand this statement— the purpose God has for us in this life, or our own purpose (what we feel our purpose is in life, or the goals we seek to achieve).

Jeremiah 29:11 – A Reflection
“For I know the plans that I have for you“, says the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

We all have our ups and downs in life. We have had our fair share of trials as well as happy moments. But none of these was an accident. Not at all.All of these were planned, carefully written in God’s blueprint for our lives.

Sometimes we may wonder: Why is this happening to me? Why did God allow this certain person or situation to become part of my life? Why me? Why her? Why them? et cetera

Simple. God uses our experiences in order for us to trust Him more, to lean on Him more, for us to realize that it is He who is what we really need in our lives, for us to rely on Him in order to overcome whatever we are going through. Bad or good experiences are part of God’s work in our lives.

God loves us more than we’ll ever know. Like a doting parent keeping close watch over his children, our God is constantly on guard for our own good. When he knows that we are straying from the right path, he either gives us a slight tap on the shoulder or a hard pinch on the arm. In addition, he always reminds us that he has greater plans in store for us. He allows us to experience pain in order for us to be stronger when another wave of trials comes our way. He allows us to fall down so that we can pick ourselves up from the ground and move on with a better outlook on life, using that bad situation as a stepping stone.

You, yes you, may be going through something painful or something confusing right now, but hold on to God’s promises. Hold on to his word. Whatever pain, whatever difficulty, whatever distress, entrust them all to him. He's always cooking up something tasty.Just be patient.

John 16:33

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

We may not know what trouble lies in the future, but knowing that God is there and has overcome, it will give us peace. As what the Word of God says in Philippians 4:6-7, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Peace be with us and God bless us!

PHILIPPIANS 4:13

Do you know that our God longs to strengthen us?

• This verse illustrates a powerful spiritual principle that our heavenly Father longs for you to know today.

• You were never meant to go through this life alone, living in your own strength.

•The God who formed the mountains, filled the seas, breathed life into dust, and sustains every living creature longs to strengthen you for whatever lies ahead.

Trust God in whatever season he’s leading you through. Whether you find yourself with plenty or little, difficulties or ease, you can find your contentment in the gift of abundant relationship with your heavenly Father. All that is good comes from his hands alone. May you be strengthened to find joy, peace, and contentment in the presence of your loving Father.
