Have you ever thought of what will happen after a decade or more after your graduation? Who are you with and where will you be?
The Notre Dame of Midsayap College Alumni Association, with the External office, welcomed back hundreds of alums spanning multiple decades from as far as the HS class of 1964 to the youngest honorees, the HS class of 2014. The Grand Alumni Homecoming 2024 was held last December 30, 2024, at Notre Dame of Midsayap College, with the theme โ Dameans: Journeying as Agents of Hope, Embracing Unity and Synodality. This activity happens annually on the same date, and every Damean alum expects festive-like activities.
Amidst the holiday season, a remarkable number of alums showcased their unrelenting school spirit and demonstrated unwavering dedication to their Alma Mater. In the morning, the festive gathering commenced through a motorcade, in which different batches participated. This activity was made more grandeur because of the batch honoreesโ floats accompanied by the beat of the drums, cheers and yells, and Christmas carols โ making the motorcade more colorful and lively. Following this was a Eucharistic celebration, the best way to start and begin the proper program, feeding food for the soul.
The activity was opened with the welcome words of Municipal Councilor Clai-clai Ostique, the NDMC Alumni Association president. Next was Ms. Nicole Matulac, who did the honor of presenting the NDMC personnel, from the IBEd and College faculty members and staff, the administrators to the management committee, which is headed by Fr. Ramon Maria G. Bernabe, OMI, the NDMC school president. Moreover, in a momentous event, the NDMCAA awarded outstanding alums across all honorees, who were nominated by their batchmates and went through numerous screenings and interviews. This award acknowledges individuals who have made profound impacts and achievements in their chosen profession and career, reflecting Notre Dameanโs spirit to commit excellence and positive difference.
After this, a heartfelt message was delivered by Fr. Ramon Maria G. Bernabe, OMI, the NDMC President, in his inspirational message. This was followed by the energetic and electrifying performances of the different batch honorees in their NDMCAA Got Talent, which had two categories โ Folk Dance and Retro Dance and NDMCAA Singing Idol competitions. Their on-point moves and grooves showed how they were as performers โ for which they represented the school in various inter-school meets during their stay at NDMC.
The afternoon session was the awarding of the Mutya ng Alumni, the presentation of batch t-shirts, and the overall awarding ceremony.
