A PROMISED HOPE

Man has given a larger privilege to discover the God who made heavens and earth. The nature itself speaks clearly about God's manifestation of His own great love towards man. Once a perfect world is now ruined but still God's hands is upon us. The difficulties are around us to be just a part of our training as we prepare our lives to the second return of our father Lord Jesus.
In this world full of despair, let us see the full hope that God bestowed through the wonderful creations and amazing things our eyes can see. Even if we are blinded with traumas, fears, disappointments and heartaches, all along our God is still guiding us and leading us. He himself has experienced the life of being a mortal man but that did not stop Him to show mercy and goodness, gave evidence of His divine anointing, compassion were revealed in every act of His life, tender sympathy was given to the children and went with the poorest and humblest men on earth. Through these marks, His own steps, may we be called children who would lovingly follow His own will.
John 3:16-"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son and whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life. This is God's promise. We are all sinners in need of God----a God that will transform and renew us. It us through Him that we can be saved but remember it is not enough to just know who God is and His act of love and tender care, it is His longing that we may proclaim it to all nations for many are still seeking and thirsting for His words and compassion.
The time is at hand, signs of the times are now happening. God is calling us to repent and to go back to our first love---to Him. It is through Him and by Him that we can be forgiven and true repentance is beyond our own power to accomplish. It is only through realizing that God's shedded blood in the cross, receiving that promise, that we can acquire the forgiveness He has given unto men.

A remnant has been called to keep God's commandments and Jesus' faith. They announce the arrival of the judgment hour, proclaim salvation through Christ, and herald the approach of Christ's second coming, just as Noah did in his day.

In Noah's day, despite numerous warnings to repent, the vast majority of people chose to reject God and live according to their own selfish desires.

"But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." --Matthew 24:37, NKJV

In 2 Samuel 12, God sent the prophet Nathan to rebuke David for his sins. Nathan told David a story about a rich man who stole a poor man's one and only lamb to make preparations for a feast. David was enraged and said that the rich man must die, and Nathan adamantly told David that "he was the man."

While blinded by his own sin, David condemned the rich man harshly. He disobeyed the Lord's commands and did evil in the Lord's sight. Nathan warned David that his actions would create constant conflict in his own household.

When confronted, David, instead of attempting to hide his sins, immediately confesses to God, takes responsibility, and repents. God pardoned him and poured renewed grace upon him.

God also desires to pour out His love and grace upon us. He only seeks our genuine confession and repentance.

The day you came and settled at CEMAC district marked a new beginning. CEMAC District consists of more than ten churches and to know that it would be handled by only one pastor, that would be a challenge for you and to your family. But really the Lord has inspired you to Follow Him wherever He leads. Now, CEMAC district would be missing your presence and leadings in our beloved churches.
To our dear pastor Anel Mahinay and his beautiful wife, Melissa Mahinay, we will be missing you here. We will surely miss the comfort of your home, the food we shared, your cute little kids and your goodness in all aspects. You are a manifestation of God's love and a reminder that truly the Lord wants us to return at His feet, be renewed and revived to the purpose of delivering His gospel to the world. During pandemic, every minute was not wasted. Amidst restrictions, your initiative to carry the gospel and in leading the tasks the Lord has appointed you is remarkable. Thank you pastor and ma'am for becoming a good example and giving fatherly/motherly advices, for the long trips, addressing formally our concerns and for the corrections.
Years went by and seemed so short, but this is the hardest---to accept that you will no longer be with us during associations , unit meetings, youth meetings, crusades, birthday serenades and all the fellowship programs. Continue working in God's vineyard. We'll be praying for you Pastor and Ma'am. You are a family to us and it's not easy to be separated from those you love but there is an assurance the Lord has promised that we will surely meet in the heavenly home God has prepared for us. For now, let's just wrap this up with a temporary separation. We will say "Farewell". See you again. See you puhon.

THE SABBATH REMINDS US OF GOD'S CREATIVE POWER

Infidel geologists claim that the world is very much older than the Bible record makes it. They reject the testimony of God’s Word because of those things which are to them evidences from the earth itself that it has existed tens of thousands of years. And many who profess to believe the Bible are at a loss to account for wonderful things which are found in the earth, with the view that Creation week was only seven literal days, and that the world is now only about six thousand years old. These, to free themselves from difficulties thrown in their way by infidel geologists, adopt the view that the six days of Creation were six vast, indefinite periods, and the day of God’s rest was another indefinite period; making senseless the fourth commandment of God’s holy law. Some eagerly receive this position; for it destroys the force of the fourth commandment, and they feel a freedom from its claims upon them.

Bones of human beings and animals are found in the earth, in mountains and in valleys, showing that much larger humans and beasts once existed. Instruments of warfare are sometimes found; also petrified wood. Because the bones found are so much larger than those of humans and animals now living, or that have existed for many generations past, some conclude that the earth was populated long before the record of Creation by a race of beings vastly superior in size to those now living. Those who reason in this manner have limited ideas of the size of people, animals, and trees, before the Flood, and of the great changes which then took place in the earth.

Without Bible history, geology can prove nothing.... When human beings leave the Word of God, and seek to account for His creative works upon natural principles, they are upon a boundless ocean of uncertainty. Just how God accomplished the work of Creation in six literal days, He has never revealed to mortals. His creative works are as incomprehensible as His existence.—The Signs of the Times, March 20, 1879.

In Revelation 14, human beings are called upon to worship the Creator; and the prophecy brings to view a class that, as the result of the threefold message, are keeping the commandments of God. One of these commandments points directly to God as the Creator. The fourth precept declares: “The seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: ... for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it” (Exodus 20:10, 11).... To Be Like Jesus 160.2

The keeping of the Sabbath is a sign of loyalty to the true God, “him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” It follows that the message which commands mortals to worship God and keep His commandments will especially call upon them to keep the fourth commandment.—The Great Controversy, 437, 438

We were called to proclaim not to entertain.
We will never be able to compete with the kind of entertainment the world has to offer. However, it will not become a problem if we offer the gospel instead in its pure form as an alternative: a life changing experience made possible through the saving power of Jesus Christ.
