A milestone conversation finds its rhythm as Edge Talk DSKVR EP 192 highlights an inspiring Artist of the Week feature 🎙️✨

This episode is part of the Artist of the Week perks, spotlighting Hera Helené 🎶🌟

Hera Helené, 26, is a singer-songwriter, author, and worship leader from Balayan, Batangas. Her musical journey began at the age of three, shaped by her grandfather, and grew through provincial singing contests and national television appearances on Star Circle Quest, Little Miss Philippines (GMA), and TV5’s Lunch Out Loud, where she emerged as a daily winner and monthly finalist.

At 11, she placed 3rd in the Vilma Santos Recto Singing Contest, earning ₱50,000 that helped establish a barangay daycare center still operating today.

Blending pop, R&B, power ballads, Broadway, and gospel, her music is inspired by Tori Kelly, Whitney Houston, Steffany Gretzinger, Moriah Peters, Darlene Zschech, Gloria Gaynor, Jonathan McReynolds, and Britt Nicole. Her work is rooted in encouragement, awareness, and meaningful storytelling.

She is a former member of J316 Singers under AJ Dela Fuente, a member of FILCCOM (Filipino Christian Composers), and a core leader of Crescendo Ministries, where she serves as a vocal and worship trainer. She also trains worship teams in her local church and assists other church branches.

Beyond the stage, Hera is a Computer Science graduate, freelance professional, mental health advocate, certified Su***de, Psychological, and Mental Health First Aid Trainer, and a Mental Health–focused author, currently training as a Total Wellness Life Coach.

Founded by seasoned performer and broadcaster Jack “Captain Jack” Villahermosa, this alternative rock group is on a mission to challenge silence and elevate conversations that matter through story-driven music.

Originally formed with composer Jong Lavisurez and drummer Josh Montifalcon, the band has evolved into a powerhouse lineup. With the addition of bassist Stephin Miras and the meticulous guitar artistry of Sherwin Edgar Atoy, Jack’s Tone has solidified a sound that is both emotionally resonant and musically disciplined.

BRIEF HISTORY:

Two years before Edge Radio started broadcasting in Lucena City, Edge was an event tour (Edge Tour) doing bar tours, music clinics and concerts in the university belt of Manila, art festivals, skateboard and BMX competitions and mall tours. All these were happening with not a single clue that one day we’ll be part of a nationwide FM radio network and what’s awesome is that it is the Edge Radio.
