This poster was an entry for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of Mindanao State University - Marawi's Buzz Art Competition 2023, in the Digital Poster Making Category. The competition took place on February 27, 2023, at the Science Lecture Hall. The theme of the competition was 'CNSM at 2023: Synergistic Approach of Utilizing Science, Science Education, and Technology for Sustainable Academic and Community Development.'

I created this poster in under 10 hours. Upon arriving at the hall, I was informed that artworks should have been completed before February 27, which the facilitator considered common knowledge. I thought it was an on-the-spot competition because this was the frequent mechanic of every poster making contests I had attended. I was taken aback but immediately began working on my submission.

I am extremely proud of how I did the lady's hand, and the man's face, and the detailing I did for the book they were holding unto.

Unfortunately, my artwork did not win. Nonetheless, I received valuable constructive criticism from the event. The facilitator pointed out that my artwork lacked dark colors, a critique with which I agree. I had focused on the unity of the colors like reds, blues, and greens (you can see them being sections within the painting; red at the bottom, blue at the left, and yellow and green to the upper right), neglecting the importance of the values (the lightness and darkness of a color).

Alhamdulillah, this was a valuable learning experience for me 💗
