On March 28, 2026, the Adamson University Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, together with the PIIE-ORSP Adamson University Chapter, hosted the 𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at the Co Po Ty Hall.

Guided by the theme “𝑲𝑰𝑵𝑬𝑻𝑰𝑪: 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑯𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍-𝑩𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒔 𝑴𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒔 𝑶𝒏𝒆,” the summit brought together aspiring industrial engineers from various academic institutions, including PUP, FEU, Mapúa, and more, to explore the intersection of human-centric safety and system efficiency.

𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞: 𝐈𝐄 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲’𝐬 𝟗𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Celebrating almost a century of excellence, Industrial Engineering students gathered at the AdU Theater on February 12, 2026, for a vibrant parade and opening ceremony marking the 94th Founding Anniversary of Adamson University. With the theme “𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝,” It brought everyone in the Adamson community together to show their pride and their commitment to quality and future-ready education.

This year’s annual celebration was hosted by the College of Engineering (CoE). The program opened with a colorful parade of colleges and student organizations, each wearing their assigned cluster colors. The event united the university’s administrators, professors, and students in honoring 94 years of dedication to education and service.

Various performances from talented Adamsonians energized the crowd and filled the place with cheers and Vincentian spirit. Different dance numbers highlighted the celebration, including a hip-hop performance from the College of Engineering and a breathtaking ballroom performance by the AdU Company Dance Sport.

Following the ceremony, the College of Engineering, led by the Engineering Student Council (ESC), held an 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 where different engineering departments worked together and presented their creative booths with various fun and interactive activities. The Industrial Engineering department’s booth showcased the different projects and patented innovations designed by the IE students, centered around the core principles of IE such as ergonomics, optimization, and sustainability. The event ended with an awarding ceremony for the best booths and for the top five performing students from each department and year level, celebrating both collective creativity and individual academic excellence.

The Industrial Engineering Department of Adamson University, through the PIIE–ORSP Adamson University Chapter, celebrated the 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 on February 11, 2026 with the theme “𝐒𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭.”

The event gathered administrators, faculty members, guests, and graduating students in a meaningful celebration that marked the transition of students into emerging professionals. The ceremony began with the Adamson Prayer and the singing of the National Anthem, followed by an opening remarks from Dr. Venusmar Quevedo, highlighting the perseverance, dedication, and hard work of the future Industrial Engineers.

One of the highlights of the event was the 𝐇𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲, a symbolic tradition representing knowledge, responsibility, and professional readiness. Each fledgling was hooded with the guidance of a chosen mentor, signifying their transformation from students to future engineers prepared to serve society.

The program also recognized outstanding students during the 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 by Engr. Noime Fernandez, and Ms. Francine Mamauag, honoring individuals for their leadership and contributions to the organization. Inspirational messages were delivered by Dr. Antonio Doroliat, dean of College of Engineering, faculty members and awardees, encouraging graduates to uphold the Vincentian spirit in their future endeavors.

The ceremony also took a moment to celebrate the heart and soul of the graduating class by honoring two students for their exceptional contributions. Ma. Daniela Madeloso was presented with the Student Leadership Award, a well-deserved recognition of her dedication to her peers and her active role during her stay in the University. Meanwhile, Julia Marie Teodosio received the Model Student Award, highlighting her impressive dedication to academics while upholding the College of Engineering character and values. These two graduates represent the very best of the program, leaving behind a legacy of excellence for the next generation of industrial engineering students to follow.

The ceremony concluded with awardees Ms. Madeloso and Ms. Teodosio reminding Batch 2026 that their journey does not end with graduation. Like the peregrine falcon in the ceremony’s theme, they were encouraged to soar higher and pursue greater achievements with integrity, excellence, and service.

𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑲: 𝘖𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦: 𝘐𝘌 𝘋𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘌𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘈𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘠𝘶𝘨𝘵𝘰 2026

Last January 28, 2026, the Industrial Engineering Department took part at 𝐘𝐔𝐆𝐓𝐎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, joining forces with the Electrical Engineering Department and Electronics Engineering Department. This seminar served as a bridge built for students across the Philippines, designed to clear the fog around career choices and help them find a professional path that truly resonates with their future goals.

The day kicked off in the OZ AVR with a series of insightful plenary talks. Engr. Antonio P. Doroliat, PhD, Dean of the College of Engineering at Adamson University, set the tone with a warm welcome. Engr. Ronezza Delos Santos, Managing Director of Leave a Nest Philippines, mapped out in her talk how science and technology is nurtured from early education which can eventually transform into a global market solution. To round out the morning, Ms. Abigael Go, the Communications Lead for Lockheed Martin, took the stage to highlight why innovation is a necessity for the country's development.

Adding a personal touch to the session, Ms. Jazreen Carbonell spoke on behalf of the IE community. She she shared her own journey of how she found her place in Industrial Engineering. She addressed the "jack of all trades" label head-on, showing the audience that being versatile is exactly what makes IEs the essential "link" in any industry.

The participants transitioned to the hands-on portions of the event, including IE workshop activity that took place in OZ 312. Ms. Francine Mamauag, President of PIIE-ORSP AdU Chapter, led a deep dive into what being an IE really means. She put a clever spin on an old saying, reminding everyone that while IEs are "jacks of all trades, master of none" they are "oftentimes better than a master of one". To prove her point, she pointed to heavyweights like Apple’s Tim Cook, Henry Ford, and Globe’s Ernest Cu—all proof that IE skills lead to the very top.

Ms. Mamauag broke it down simply: IE is about optimization. Because their studies cover everything from Thermodynamics to Strength of Materials to Management, IEs are the ultimate all-rounders. As she put it, whether it’s marketing or technical operations, IEs know how to manage both the systems and the people.

The workshop concluded with a practical activity centered on Work Study and Assembly Line principles. Students participated in a pen-assembling challenge, first attempting the task individually to record baseline times. They were then grouped into teams of five to implement an assembly line strategy. This exercise demonstrated a core IE principle that specialized tasks performed with teamwork are significantly more efficient and faster than individual efforts. Facilitators also shared a historical touchpoint, explaining how Operations Research first emerged during World War I to develop strategic counters to enemy movements, further proving that Industrial Engineering is, at its heart, about solving the world’s most complex problems, no matter the environment.

𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: 𝐏𝐨𝐩 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬—𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 gathered 1st to 4th year Industrial Engineering students on November 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM in the OZ Building, AVR. The annual assembly was held to strengthen unity and encourage creativity within the IE community, carried out through an interactive program filled with activities that brought students together.

The general assembly served as a platform for IE students to bond, connect, and build friendships across year levels. GENASSEM 2025 mainly focused on bringing students together and creating an enjoyable space for interaction hosted by Rainne Angelico Javier and Kathleen Aspiras, who kept the audience engaged and inspired. They also shared motivational messages to encourage IE students—especially freshmen—to stay active, motivated, and connected within the department.

The event started with academic reminders and important announcements from Ms. Noime Fernandez, the Department Chair of Industrial Engineering, ensuring students were informed about department policies before the fun began.

The rest of the program featured an entertaining lineup of activities such as paper dance, calamansi relay, guess the meme, and an energetic performance by Kaizen. One of the most anticipated parts of the event was the Pinoy Pop Culture–themed 𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘢 competition, followed by the awarding of Best Dressed. Students competed for exciting prizes, which added more thrill and motivation to the activities.

Fun and memorable moments filled the venue, especially during the games and the energetic 𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘢 segment. “𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘬𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢-𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘨 𝘎𝘈 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘬𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵. The Industrial Engineering Department gathered students, faculty, and industry professionals on November 29, 2025, at the OZ AVR for this year’s IE Academic Event—an immersive symposium designed for dreamers, doers, and leaders eager to reshape the future of industries. With the theme “𝐈𝐄𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐭: 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜e,” the event explored how modern Industrial Engineers now go beyond traditional roles, emerging as strategic leaders in marketing, operations, and organizational development.

The program opened with remarks from the PIIE-ORSP AdU Chapter Executive President, Ms. Francine Mamauag, who emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities not only for academic gain but also for meaningful contributions to industry. “𝘓𝘦𝘵’𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘹𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺," she reminded the participants, setting the tone for an event grounded in both vision and practicality.

The keynote speaker, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚, delivered an introspective and compelling talk that resonated deeply with the audience. He began by referencing Bohemian Rhapsody, highlighting Freddie Mercury’s journey to recognition as a metaphor for young professionals finding their voice and purpose. He discussed the complexities of the human condition, noting how people often struggle with selfishness and brokenness—yet also possess the capacity for growth and transformation. “𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘴,” he said, reminding the crowd that the greatest challenge in modern life is learning to pause, stay still, and choose intention over impulse.

He further introduced the “Laws of Sowing and Reaping,” emphasizing that success is built through small, smart choices made consistently over time. “𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘱 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘰𝘸,” he shared, “𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘱 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯.” This message encouraged students to trust the process, remain patient, and understand that meaningful progress takes time.

At the heart of his talk was a framework combining skills, values, and character—a formula he described as essential for becoming a true “difference maker.” He highlighted the importance of wisdom, integrity, and purpose-driven work, urging students to detach their identity from job titles or paychecks. “𝘋𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬,” he advised. “𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘣𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘴 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦… 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨.”

The event reinforced the evolving identity of Industrial Engineers as innovators capable of leading not only systems and processes but also people and organizations. Ms. Alleah Dhennize Elemia, the event head, thanked all participants, speakers, and organizers for contributing to a meaningful and enriching symposium. With insights from seasoned professionals and a theme centered on forging the future, the IE Academic Event successfully empowered its attendees to embrace growth, purpose, and the expanding horizons of their profession.

The spirit of technopreneurship soared at Adamson University on November 19, as AdU NEST hosted 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟓𝟐𝟔 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐲 at the Co Po Ty Hall in the Carlos Tiu Building. This pitch-off marked a significant milestone for the Adamson University - Industrial Engineering Department as their teams secured major recognition with 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞, and 𝐕𝐢𝐚-𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨. Their successes demonstrated the University's general dedication to improving the academic and innovative ecosystem and shaping the future of technopreneurship locally.⁣

The event was inaugurated by Engr. Noe D. Enriquez, the Officer-In-Charge for Technology Transfer and Commercialization, who emphasized the contribution of The Hatch in his opening remarks. He stressed that the event empowers students to be ingenious and goal-oriented, expanding their future prospects and developing the necessary attitude to emerge as pioneers in technopreneurship.⁣

Ms. Maye Galupo, from the Quezon City Government, announced the upcoming StartUp QC business plan competition, encouraging students to be creative and achieve higher goals. She noted that the program seeks to establish partnerships with external incubators and accelerators, thereby expanding the network of StartUp QC. Furthermore, Ms. Ria Angelika Gonzaga, a representative for Scale NCR and Miriam College TBI, highlighted the consortium's simple yet powerful mission, which is to strengthen the Philippine startup ecosystem by supporting determined incubators and accelerators in bringing their startups into life. ⁣

The competition featured fourteen teams presenting to a distinguished panel, which included Ms. Galupo, Ms. Gonzaga, and Mr. Jose Fangonilo. These judges assessed the solutions using criteria including innovativeness, creativity, and relevance of the concept.⁣

To start off, Team 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰 introduced a revolutionary approach to agricultural education to address the critical challenge of the aging Filipino farming population. On October 3, 2025, the PIIE-ORSP Adamson University Chapter joined the global celebration of 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 by showing love and gratitude to their mentors.⁣

To honor the dedication of the Industrial Engineering professors, the organization prepared small tokens of appreciation as a simple yet meaningful way of expressing gratitude. ⁣

Adamson University warmly welcomed its newest students during 𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 on September 30, 2025 at the SV Facade, celebrating with the theme "𝘉𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘢 𝘉𝘶𝘬𝘢𝘴". The annual rite of passage, marked by colorful handprints on white shirts, represents friendship, unity, and the Vincentian spirit that unites all students. For many years, this ritual has served as a rite of passage, reminding Adamsonians that they're part of a community that values growth, belonging, and shared identity.

Special performances by special guests 𝐕𝐕𝐢𝐍𝐊, 𝐒𝐲𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐚, and 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧 added to the joyous atmosphere. VViNK lit up the stage with their P-pop singles "𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘵" and "𝘛𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘭𝘢" enthralling the audience with explosive choreography. Syd Hartha enchanted Adamsonians with her heartfelt songs "𝘛𝘪𝘭𝘢 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘢" and "𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘰-𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘰" even debuting her unreleased track, "𝘈𝘬𝘰 𝘕𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘔𝘶𝘯𝘢". Earl Agustin concluded the night with his soulful set, performing favorites like "𝘋𝘪𝘵𝘰 𝘚𝘢'𝘬𝘪𝘯", "𝘈𝘺𝘢", "𝘋𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯", "𝘛𝘪𝘣𝘰𝘬", and the nostalgic "𝘈𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘔𝘰”.
