What are some of the struggles that teachers in the Philippines continue to face?
Teachers who are still teaching through the hybrid or remote setup report a consistently slow internet speed, causing difficulty of communication between students and teachers.
Due to a lack of proper teaching materials and equipment, teachers are highly overworked. In fact, 70% of teachers around the world report that they feel overworked.
Several of the issues that can be found in the online setup have only served to further expose more of the difficulties that teachers have been facing for the longest time.
The reopening of physical classes has only further exposed the difficulties that teachers face in regaining student interest.
Join Cerebro in our mission to help teachers teach best.
Cerebro helps teachers save up to 400 hours of teaching time by giving teachers ready-made modules and a user-friendly interface for learning, as well as printable worksheets and gamification features that help teachers maintain student interest in learning, no matter what the learning setup may be.

Today, we are looking at Mr. Reynaldo Geronimo, Assistant Director of Student Affairs and Services at San Sebastian College - Recoletos de Cavite’s talk, “Campus Culture in a Virtual Environment.”
How can we create a campus culture in a virtual environment?
“We look at the ways to build campus culture with technology in today’s virtual world. First, make connectivity your number one priority. Second, create a positive and productive virtual environment by providing options for learning content, as well as being flexible. Next, motivate and incentivize students by challenging them to learn something new that interests them. Spot and address any warning signs of disinterest or distress. Identifying struggling students is more important and more challenging than ever. Lastly, explore and implement different collaboration methods. Collaboration between the home and school is now more important than ever,"" he shared.

On October 22, 2022, Dr. Myla Pilar Pamplona, President & Lead Psychologist at Mindspeak Psychological Clinic, gave her talk, “Creating an Inclusive Environment in the Hybrid Classroom,” as part of TEACHCON Philippines 2022.
How do we create an inclusive environment in a hybrid classroom?
“Listen well to your students. Active listening promotes mindful thinking, which can reduce anxiety and depression in students. Make activities that can be done by students who are both in person and online. Remind students to treat each other with respect and do not call each other names. Encourage participation both online and in person. Define clear minimum standards for behavior and enforce them consistently. Develop a ‘scaffolded’ approach to learning by being aware of the needs of every child in your class,” she shared.
