HOW TO OVERCOME IMPULSE SPENDING ๐ฐ
1๏ธโฃ Track your expenses
Figure out how much exactly are your monthly expenses; be aware to where that money is going. I personally have a planner that is dedicated to track where my money is going.
2๏ธโฃ Give yourself an allowance
Based on your spending, set aside an allowance for leisure. I call this โfunโ money. I use it for take-outs, Shopee, Starbucks, eat out, etc. Reward yourself! But not too much.
3๏ธโฃ Stop and question your purchases
Everytime you want to buy something , ask yourself WHY you are buying it. Start to bring more awareness to your spending.
I, myself, was an impulsive spender as well. And I was able to overcome it with the help of these 3 baby steps, of course, with the help of the people around me.

I always tell my clients that insurance is one of the foundation of a good financial plan, for it can reduce the biggest financial risk of your family (your premature death).
Here are more specific examples of when it is a good idea to purchase it:

If youโre looking for something to help your family payoff mortgage, pay off debt, maintain a standard of living, send kids to college or cover other expenses

If you want to save money on premiums (AKA the monthly price - often, the younger you are, the cheaper the price)
By purchasing sooner rather than later, youโre not only locking in a cheaper price but youโre using your health as well. Think of it as a monthly subscription to protect your loved ones financially.
While there are a lot of insurance companies and financial advisors out there, I want to remind you that the best insurance plan is an IN FORCED one. Because weโll never know when life will hit us hard.

The choice between buying a house and renting is one of the biggest financial decision. Thereโs a stigma around renting that we are โthrowing our money awayโ if we are to rent.
So, today, I thought of sharing with you some pros and cons of both renting and buying a house. Let me start by saying that NOT one approach is โbetterโ than the other.
