GLITTER ENTERTAINMENT CHATTER SHOW
GLITTER ENTERTAINMENT CHATTER SHOW SET TO SPARKLE IN PHILIPPINE SHOWBIZ
LOOK: Get ready for a glittering extravaganza as the "Glitter Entertainment Chatter Show" is poised to hit screens on December 3 at 4 PM on Glitter Channel's page. The show, introduced during a media conference at the Net25 compound's Kenny Rogers, promises to deliver scintillating local showbiz news and celebrity gossip.
Director Perry Escaño, the creative mind behind the Glitter Channel shared that the idea for the show stemmed from the platform's success on social media. Recognizing the potential, the team decided to venture into the realm of online talk shows, filling a gap left by the absence of a weekly talk-show format on television.
" We started yung' "Glitter Channel" sa page..nagsusulat yung mga writers natin dito, and nakikita namin na medyo malakas pala yung reach ng "Glitter Channel". So, yung mga articles about celebrity weddings, about sa mga trends na mga showbiz ngayon..anu yung mga latest..Anu yung mga stories na bago ngayon..." Direk Perry Escaño said.
" Nag-decide yung friend ko, na bakit di natin gawan ng parang show ito, kasi ang tagal na sa Philippine Entertainment na wala tayong parang "Talk-Show" every week, nawala na...meron tayo lagi, pero parang one-on-one na content lagi with the famous host." He added
Escaño emphasized the show's role in promoting fellow artists and providing a platform for showcasing new movies and projects.
"I think eto' yung "Glitter Channel" ang magandang platform siguro, na kahit papanu, is makakatulong din tayo sa mga kapwa natin artist na ma-promote nila yung mga bagong movies nila, projects..." Escaño said.
The hosts, drawn from Gleam Artists Management, Net25 Star Center Artists, and Star Magic Artists, are set to bring a fresh perspective to the weekly entertainment talk show.
The show's scope extends beyond celebrity gossip, aiming to cover local and international music trends, concerts, music videos, and d

A night shift nurse’s action of dumping her mother’s possession attracts Batibat's wrath.
Clara, a night shift nurse, dreams about the abusive treatment of her mother during her childhood days. This leads her to dump her mother’s most treasured possession, a small tree, without knowing that it is a batibat’s home. Because of her action, the batibat emerges and haunts her sleep. Where will her nightmares lead?
“MAUDI NGA ARAPAAP” is a film by DANIEL MAGAYON, starring Angelia Orna, Dioquino, Juralbal, Gongora, Marygrace Caraga
DANIEL MAGAYON is an independent filmmaker studying digital film at the Mapua University. He started from being a cinematographer in his first student films until he decided to pursue directing. He loves and wants to create films on Philippine horror, focusing on Philippine mythological creatures. His short film Maudi Nga Arapaap has won awards in honorable mentions at the Student World Impact Film Festival 2022, finalist at the Ngilngig Asian Fantastic Film Festival 2022, finalist at the Cine De Oro Film Festival 2023, Best Cinematography at the Cinemapua International Student Short Film Festival 2022, and a participant at the Lift-off Filmmaker Session 2022. Daniel aims to make his mark in the Philippine cinema industry.
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT: DANIEL MAGAYON
In Maudi Nga Arapaap (Last Dream), we did not highlight the evil creature or the Batibat. We wanted to focus on the story of the mother-daughter relationship and on the medication of the protagonist of sleep paralysis caused by the trauma given to her by her mother.
Because of their corrupt relationship and the action of the protagonist Clara, the Batibat would only amplify or feed on their corrupt relationship and take revenge because of what Clara did to its home.
I wanted to accomplish visually that every shot of the film should only amplify the emotion of each scene, that the technical sh

Amid shrinking civic and democratic space, and a culture of impunity, three women named Maria are on a journey to see truth and fight for justice.
Maria is a common given name to a Filipina. In 2016, Duterte’s drug war left 26,000 to 30,000 families, fatherless or husbandless. The wives and mothers of the killed victims are left trying to meet both ends for their families. The documentary follows three women named Maria after the bloodbath of Duterte’s drug war. A staunch supporter turned victim, a wife & mother fighting for their rights, and a woman who became a beacon of hope.
“MARIA” is a film by SHE ANDES "SHERYL ROSE M. ANDES" is a development worker, filmmaker, and educator. She spent a decade in NGO work before embracing filmmaking. DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT: SHE ANDES
"Personal is political."
"Our most basic right is the Right to life. Human rights are innate to us; but with Duterte’s authoritarian leadership; rights have been curtailed, abused, and become a privilege to a few. In a culture of violence and killings, we live in a society where asserting your right can lead you to be charged as a rebel or terrorist.
Making this documentary is my assertion that as storytellers, we have an obligation to use our voice and skill to tell the story of the marginalized, not to

“BULAWAN NGA USA” is a film by KENNETH DE LA CRUZ, starring Ron Matthews Espinosa, John NIel Pagntalan.
After his beloved grandfather’s death, Makoy embarks on a soul-stirring expedition to a mystical mountain in search of the legendary golden deer that possesses the power to grant wishes. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he befriends a spirited young mountain boy who joins him in the quest for the mythical creature and self-discovery.
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT: KENNETH DE LA CRUZ
“I am often rendered speechless when faced with questions about my purpose in life and what I aspire to become. The uncertainty surrounding my answers used to disturb me, as life presents challenges that make me reconsider my choices. These obstacles often bring doubts and grief, outweighing any encouragement.
Nevertheless, I encounter people along my journey who sincerely show support, serving as my motivation to keep moving forward. Bulawan nga Usa closely parallels my personal journey, and through this film, I express my gratitude to family and friends who unwaveringly believe in me and in my dreams.
The folklore from my hometown serves as a fitting backdrop to the story. There is something profoundly heartfelt, magical, and humble about the tales passed down from one generation to another. And there is no better way to tell this story but to make this film with an all-Ilonggo production team and cast with promising talent and humility.
Although Bulawan nga Usa originates from a deeply personal space, the themes of passion and aspiration resonate with anyone who has experienced uncertainty and setbacks yet refuses to surrender. Therefore, I extend an invitation to all young, spirited dreamers to join me on our quest for our

Everything changes when an awkward teenager joins the volleyball team and falls for the volleyball team captain.
“ROOKIE” is a film by SAMANTHA LEE, starring Pat Tingjuy, Aya Fernandez, Agot Isidro.
The high school volleyball coach spots Ace on her first day at her new school and invites her to try out for the volleyball team. While initially feeling out of place in the volleyball court, everything changes when she falls for the volleyball team captain Jana who dislikes her because she sees her as a threat. Ace eventually finds friendship and freedom with her teammates but a post-game incident involving the team physical therapist changes her world forever.
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT: SAMANTHA LEE
“I didn't really fit in when I was a kid. I was too tall, too skinny, too clumsy, and too boyish and the other girls didn't know what to do with that. Feeling left out made me really shy and for most of my childhood but being a part of the basketball team changed my life. Suddenly all these things I hated about myself because they made me different turned out to be assets on the court- my height, my build, my nonchalance about running around and getting sweaty. I made more friends, became more confident, and tried out for more things. I learned skills that I still use at work today- leadership, decisiveness, putting the team above all else, and how to lose with grace.
Rookie is about the moments in our life that shape us. It‘s about how the lessons and the people from our younger days come together to help make us into a person. It’s about learning and losing and how to learn from all that losing. And ultimately it’s about how society is still very much rigged against women but we continue to play to win anyway."

WATCH: WHEN THIS IS ALL OVER Trailer a Film by KEVIN MAYUGA 🇵🇭
A disconnected desperate guy forges a deal with a group of privileged misfits to plan a secret party at the height of a global pandemic, for a chance to escape his reality.
“WHEN THIS IS ALL OVER ” is a film by KEVIN MAYUGA, starring juan karlos, Jorrybell Agoto, Ana Abad Santos, Chaye Mogg, Nour Hooshmand, Jico Umali, Aaron Maniego, Renee Dominique, Lottie Bie, Zara Loayan
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT: KEVIN MAYUGA
“I was never acutely aware of my privilege more so than when the pandemic hit. While I was fortunate enough to be comfortable, countless others were struggling and literally fighting for their lives. That awakened feeling has turned into some sort of guilt of having privilege in this exaggerated class divide.
We all saw this out-of-touch apathy with a lot of the privileged, but it made me ask myself if I’m also guilty of that same ignorance. In this unequal world, how could you not feel guilt for having more and not doing anything about it? I realized that what really just separates all of us is luck.
Some are just lucky enough to have a life on the right side of the tracks, and it feels like there’s not much we can do in this reality of exploitative class systems. It may seem that we feel helpless and we have no choice in that sense, but I’d like to believe that we at least have a choice to treat each other with empathy, not apathy. To be compassionate and not ignorant. To use whatever privilege we have not for our own benefit, but to help uplift others."
