Sa limang position sa basketball ito yung position na pinaka-pisikal. Ang sentro ay kadalasan ang pinaka-mataas na player sa isang team, ito ay responsable sa depensa at pagkuha nga mga rebound o mas kilala sa tawag na "singko/lima."

Ang karaniwang pwesto ng center ay sa mababang post area nakatayo malapit sa gitna ng depensa kaya't sila lang dapat magsalita at magbigay ng direksyon sa depensa para kanyang mga kakampi.

As a center hindi naman necessary ang makapuntos ka ang importante ang depensa mo, rebound mo at box out mo. Masarap tignan yung kakampi na naka score dahil sa sipag mo. Kaya sa mga kabataan na may gusto sa role na'to kailangan dito lakas ng katawan at magandang timing para sa rebound.
