We are all saddened by the disaster left by super typhoon Carina. The aftermath was so unimaginable. We pray for our countrymen who were directly affected by the monstrous event. May they overcome the nightmare they had of this powerful and destructive storm. Amen.

Let us all be optimistic and look for the brighter side of things.

A phreatic eruption occurred at Mayon Volcano at 6:16 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, according to Phivolcs

Phivolcs Legazpi resident volcanologist Dr. Paul Alanis said light gray ash and steam plume approximately 656 feet (200 meters) high were observed over Mayon.
