Despite having been with the brand for the last six years, Chinese basketball player Guo Ailun has yet to receive his own signature shoe. The Jumpman has, however, offered the athlete countless different PEs, with more heading his way very soon.

After receiving an Air Jordan 37 Low earlier in the year, Guo Ailun is now set to close out 2023 with a special rendition of the Jordan Legacy 312. Much like its predecessors, this player exclusive, too, boasts a cool-toned palette, with light blues applied not only to Guo Ailun’s signature logo but also the adjacent collar, toe cap, outsole, and trims. The rest of the colorway — save for the pop of yellow along the branding and upper eyelets, that is — consists mainly of neutrals. White shades dress the tumbled leathers, heel tab, and lace unit, while greys brush both the suede along the forefoot as well as the Elephant Print-covered panel just behind.

Enjoy a closer look at the Jordan Legacy 312 Guo Ailun PE via the official images ahead. As has been the case with the athlete’s previous PEs, it’s likely these won’t be hitting the shelves in the US. Should things change, expect to find out here as further information is revealed.

— While there was an Air Jordan 1 High OG University Blue which dropped last year, another Air Jordan 1 High OG “University Blue” will release in the summer of 2023. This new Air Jordan 1 colorway takes on the popular “Bred Toe” color blocking as the shoe features a full leather construction on the upper with White hitting the side panels, Black placed on the overlays, and the highlight University Blue noted on the ankles/heel and the toe. Finishing things up are white rubber midsoles as well as more University Blue on the Nike Air branding on the tongue and rubber outsoles.

— Dropping 24 points and seven assists in lieu of Paul George’s absence during the Clipper’s win last night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Russell Westbrook has seamlessly fit within the roster of the Lakers LA neighbors. With the entirety of the Clips roster complimenting and singing the praises of Westbrook since his acquisition at the NBA trade deadline, Jordan Brand is decking out the nine-time All-Star’s latest signature silhouette in a sample of golden accents ahead of the team’s playoff push.

In a stark departure from his signature lines’ titular color schemes, the latest Jordan Why Not 0.6 instead dresses in a compelling monochromatic base layer with abstract finishes. Stretching jet-black shades atop the entirety of the upper’s shroud, hidden lacing system and presiding embellishments, the medial side wall beings to introduce a royal gold impression of stitching while the heel’s embroidered Jumpman and forefoot Westbrook logo shine in the seldom yet effective “Metallic Gold” association. As a crisp white sole unit interjects below the clad-black ensemble, a marbled aesthetic consumes the tread underfoot with hits of white while the forefoot mudguard and heel counter preside in a paint-swatched conclusion.

* NIKE JA 1 JA MORANT “TRIVIA”

— The Nike Ja 1 was unveiled on December 25, 2022 during an NBA game against the Golden State Warriors. Temetrius Jamel “Ja” Morant and his Memphis Grizzlies squad lost, but the guard had all eyes on him for his performance and shoes.

With the NBA Playoffs less than 10 days away, the Swoosh and Morant are finally launching #12’s first signature model at retailers. A “Trivia”-themed pair covered in “Phantom” and more vibrant colors will follow up the debut style: the Nike Ja 1 “Day One.” The “Action Green,” “Grape,” and “White”-accented sequel features a number of trivia-style-questions across the upper heel and sockliner, nodding to game nights Morant and his family had while growing up. Tongue labels and outsoles deviate from their surroundings in a vibrant gold tone, further drawing attention to the low-top basketball shoe.

— The Air Jordan 1 Mid continues to propel Michael Jordan’s sneaker legacy forward, arriving in both new and familiar styles for casual and savvy sneaker fans alike.

Recently, a women’s-exclusive pair of the mid-top Air Jordan emerged in a simple, but compelling green and white color combination. Reminiscent of past nods to the Boston Celtics, the unreleased sneaker features an all white leather base, allowing for the slightest contrast to revel in the spotlight. Eye-catching green, then, animates everything from the profile swooshes to ankle straps, with the latter featuring iconic “Wings” logos on the lateral side. Jumpman branding on the top of the tongue also boasts a black-colored finish, as does the outsole underfoot. Together, each aforementioned component creates another heritage-friendly Air Jordan 1 for the modern day.

* AIR JORDAN 1 RETRO HIGH OG “LUCKY GREEN”

— First seen towards the tail end of 2022, the Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green” is among one of the year’s most exciting releases, only paling in comparison to the likes of the upcoming Air Jordan 3 “White Cement Reimagined.” And following several teasers over the course of the past few months, official images of the Celtics-friendly colorway have finally surfaced.

Akin to the “Black Toe” in the way of color blocking, the Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green” is expected to arrive later this April. The titular green sits front and center along the shoe, highlighting not only the laces and branding but also the heel counter, ankle flaps, and outsole. Elsewhere, the design is done up in a way similar to its aforementioned counterpart, with black painting the Swoosh and overlays and white the base and midsole.

— The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Skyline’ takes inspiration from an iconic piece of early Michael Jordan paraphernalia — a promotional image depicting a mid-flight MJ striking his instantly familiar Jumpman pose, framed against the Chicago skyline and the sky at dusk. The latter is recreated through gradient hues in pink and lavender, executed in mismatched fashion on the textile overlays of each shoe. They’re contrasted by a leather base in a crisp white finish, along with black accents on the signature Swoosh, high-cut collar, and interior lining.
