The BCBP Mandaue West Chapter held its National Thanksgiving and Recommitment Rites on January 4, 2025, at the Bayfront Hotel, Mandaue City. The event began with a Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Francis Udo, who shared in his homily that God recognizes and blesses each individual as we express love within our community.

Chapter Head Mr. Junie and Mrs. Cre Alejandro led the Renewal of Commitment for both male and female members-in-formation as well as regular members. The occasion was enriched by testimonies from two speakers: Engr. Beth Del Mar, who quoted Proverbs 16:3 to stress the importance of prioritizing God in all endeavors, especially in oneโ€™s work; and Mr. Dionie Enriquez, who shared how being part of the BCBP community has positively influenced their marriage and family life, paving the way for numerous blessings.

Before concluding the event, Mr. Junie Alejandro encouraged members to maintain their trust in Godโ€™s promises, even amidst life's challenges. He cited Romans 5:5, which reminds us that "hope does not put us to shame, because Godโ€™s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." Mr. Alejandro urged everyone to reflect on their blessings and be inspired to share their resources and extend love through service.

The BCBP Mandaue West Chapter hosted its first Joint Breakfast Fellowship of 2025 on January 4 at the Bayfront Hotel, Mandaue City. The event warmly welcomed four first-time attendees, with the charming Engr. Roger and Engr. Lida Calope serving as hosts.

A key moment of the gathering was the inspiring sharing by our very own Engr. B**g and Dr. Luz Bacus. The couple highlighted the mightiness of God and His ability to guide us through every season of life. Quoting Philippians 4:6, they reflected on how their early married life taught them to depend on Godโ€™s plan. The challenges they faced led them to seek comfort and support in various charismatic communities before finally joining the BCBP. This community strengthened their prayer life and encouraged them to relinquish worldly worries, turning over both their victories and struggles to God. They quoted Romans 8:28 to emphasize that despite the trials they encountered, they maintained their trust in Godโ€™s faithfulness and love, knowing He would provide for their needs and that He is supremely generous. The Bacus couple reminded everyone that Godโ€™s plans are always better than our own and that surrendering to Him allows all things to work together for good.

Mr. Junie Alejandro delivered the scripture response, quoting James 1:2-4: โ€œConsider it pure joy whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.โ€ The closing prayer focused on Godโ€™s faithfulness and presence during our trials, reminding us that He is always near and walks with us through lifeโ€™s difficulties, urging us to surrender everything to Him.

Overall, the breakfast fellowship was a wonderful opportunity to feel renewed in the presence of the Holy Spirit. It served as a beautiful reminder of God's goodness throughout the past year and His unwavering faithfulness as we embrace the new year.

Another inspiring and insightful Breakfast Meeting was held at LCK Bldg., Insular Square in Mandaue City last Saturday, January 1, 2025. The couple sharer was no other than our very own Mission Head, Noel and Wena Cabahug of Mandaue Central Mission.

The sharing highlighted on God's faithfulness, God's call and God's loving presence, which was witnessed by 28 attendees with one of whom was a first-time breakfaster.

Shortly, after the Breakfast Meeting, some members had a brainstorming on how to further enhance the venue and improve the succeeding activities. It was amazing how God put everything in place with members openly offering their service and with the prior concerns being answered outright.

What a way to start the year with a new fresh home for Mandaue Central Mission.

Last Saturday, January 4, 2025 marked a significant moment for Mandaue Central as Deacon Clark Mansueto Acidron from the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, officiated the blessing of its new venue at the 4th level of LCK bldg. in Insular Square, Mandaue City. The said event was witnessed by 35 bothers & sisters from the unit, some guests from Mactan Chapter together with our very own Mandaue Chapter Head, Roel Bernales.

It was made even remarkable with the initiation of the very first Breakfast Meeting thereafter. The unit's very own couple sharer, Ding and Liclac Seismundo once again inspired and amused the attendees as they shared their life story. The meeting was also blessed with two first-time breakfasters.

It was indeed a great start of the year for Mandaue Central Mission as they journey to a new phase with a new space.

What a remarkable milestone it has been as the BCBP Mandaue West Chapter celebrated its 10th anniversary ! Our Anniversary Night and Christmas Party last December 14, 2024 showcased how our chapter has blossomed into a vibrant community, filled with joy and camaraderie.

The evening was elegantly themed with a Hollywood Red Carpetvibe, where members arrived in their finest suits, gowns, and outfits, transforming the stunning Beverly View Pavilion into a breathtaking venue. The festivities began with a Holy Mass, where we collectively expressed our gratitude to God for the countless blessings we've received.

As the mass concluded, the energy in the room surged when our dynamic emceeing quartetโ€”Eugene Entienza, Raymund Hayag, Greg Bersabal, and Mimi Damuagโ€”took the stage. Their lively introductions set the stage for an unforgettable evening!

As guests indulged in a delicious buffet, heartfelt video greetings poured in from esteemed well-wishers, Archbishop Palma, RCD Bing Sarigumba, AMD Atty Jess Cagara, BCBP Chairman Atty Louie Ferrer, BCBP President Ani Serrano, BCBP Spiritual Advisor Fr. Herb Schnieder SJ.

Other chapters also sent their well wishes: Kauswagan Outreach Zyrel Chica,
Mandaue CH Roel and Cheekie Bernales, Bogo CH Jay Benueza and Talamban CH Julius Soliban. Their kind words reinforced the strong bonds we share within this community.

A highlight of the evening was the segment titled Chat with the Gomezes, hosted by Brix** and Dr. Kathy Gomez. This engaging discussion featured interviews with past and current Chapter Heads-- Karl and Rose Roque, Max and Doray Arnado, B**g and Luz Bacus and current CH Junie and Cre Alejandro, shedding light on their pivotal roles in the journey of the Mandaue West Chapter. As a token of our appreciation, we honored the dedication of our past presidents with thoughtful gifts.

On behalf of the senior leaders, Emma Nadela delivered heartfelt reminders on how to remain resilient and united as a community. With her trademark motherly touch, she honored the legacy of the late Casi Nadela, whose unwavering passion and love for the chapter continue to inspire us all.

The excitement escalated with our much-anticipated dance presentations themed around popular musicals. Unit C dazzled us with a Mamma Mia skit, followed by Unit Bโ€™s rendition of High School Musical, and concluding with Unit A's Sound of Music performance. While all the presentations were delightful, Unit B took home the championship trophy! Personally, the evening was filled with humility and realization, igniting our determination to claim that trophy next yearโ€”watch out, Units A and B (ahem, ahem)! Pun aside, Congratulations to all units for their outstanding performances and a special shoutout to Unit B for their victory!

In keeping with the glamorous theme of the night, we recognized our stylish members with awards. Ariel Valle, sporting a sharp blue suit, earned the Best Dressed Male accolade, while the title for Best Dressed Female went to the stunning Kat Gulane, who embraced her fitness goals impressively. The Couple of the Night award was fittingly presented to Dom and JJ Romano for their charming presence.

Reflecting on the entire event, it was an overwhelming success. The atmosphere was filled with joyous laughter, lively dances, and exciting raffle prizes. Huge congratulations to our PSD Heads, BonJovi Jovi Ledon and Bonyang Ledon, for orchestrating such a memorable occasion. This celebration will certainly be etched in our memories, and we eagerly anticipate many more years of love and unity within our community, which we proudly call family.

As we bid farewell to 2024, on behalf of the eLamdag Mandaue West Chapter, we sincerely thank everyone for their continued support of our articles. Your involvement means the world to us! Wishing you all a joyous holiday season and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2025! Happy Holidays! ๐ŸŽ‰ To God be all praises and glory!

A Celebration of Faith and Fellowship: The Last Breakfast Gathering of BCBP Mandaue West for 2024

On December 14, 2024, our BCBP Mandaue West Chapter marked a significant milestone in our history by hosting our last breakfast fellowship of the year at the Bayfront Hotel. This gathering was particularly special, as it not only celebrated the conclusion of the year but also commemorated our chapterโ€™s 10th anniversary, reflecting a decade of faith, fellowship, and growth.

The event was masterfully emceed by Carl and Honey Tribunal, who brought warmth and vitality to the program. Their engaging presence set a joyful atmosphere, making attendees feel welcome as they gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion.

One of the highlights of the morning was the sharing session led by in-house couple sharers, our senior leaders and the chapter's very first Chapter Head, Karl and Rose Roque. Their theme, "Everything is God's Grace," served as a poignant reminder of the many blessings we all experienced throughout the year. They shared heartfelt reflections on their challenges and victories, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and appreciating Godโ€™s grace in everyday life. Their story, full of wisdom gained from their hurdles and wins, resonated with attendees, encouraging everyone to reflect on their own journeys of faith.

The message was beautifully complemented by a Scripture response delivered by Jesse Billones. His insights provided a deeper understanding of the theme and encouraged members to trust in Godโ€™s plan, fostering a spirit of hope and gratitude within the fellowship.

Following the inspiring sharing session, the fellowship included a series of post-event activities that celebrated the contributions of its members. Awards were presented to in-house sharers for their outstanding commitment throughout 2024, recognizing Mario and Rose B**ggot, Dom and JJ Romano, George and Cookie Panares, Max and Doray Arnado, and Karl and Rose Roque. Their dedication to sharing their faith and experiences has inspired many within the community.

Additionally, the chapter honored Eugene and Mercedes Entienza with the "Fishers of Men" award, recognizing their exemplary efforts in evangelization and outreach.

To conclude the celebration, a Praise and Worship Assembly led by Rob Van de Griend enveloped the gathering in uplifting music and spiritual fervor. This moment allowed attendees to come together in worship, celebrating the goodness of God and the vibrant community they have built over the years.

The breakfast fellowship was a fitting tribute to the rich history of BCBP Mandaue West, honoring the past while looking forward to the future with renewed faith and enthusiasm. As the chapter embarks on its next decade, the spirit of unity, gratitude, and shared dedication to Godโ€™s grace will continue to inspire and guide all members on their journeys of faith.

We look forward to more memories this 2025!

A concluding Breakfast Meeting before the year ends was jointly celebrated by the Mandaue Chapter and Mandaue Central Mission last December 14, 2024 at BIG Hotel, Mandaue City. There were six first time breakfasters and two graduates among seventy-four attendees.

The sentimental yet lighthearted sharing of the couple Ding and Liclac Seismundo deeply moved and at the same time amused the attendees.

The couple highlighted the need for a Christ-centered relationship, the dependency on God and the consequential impact of a Christian community which nurtured, nourished and strengthened their faith. This is manifested with their passionate service in the music ministry and with their being blessings to others after being blessed bountifully by God.

The Mandaue Chapter's 2024 Christmas Party was held last December 7, 2024, at Big Hotel with the theme "Denim and Devotion".

According to Ann Marie Sanchez, head of the Programs and Services, this theme was chosen because Denim is our attire, and it is universally loved and worn by people of all age and background. It symbolizes unity and inclusivity.

Devotion reflects our BCBP community's shared faith and purpose.
Denim's durability and classic nature can be a metaphor for our community's strong and enduring bond. It reflects a sense of connection, both to each other and to our shared values.

During the event, the Keoni Hall entrance was bedecked with red and green balloons and on the side was an idyllic setting for pictorials with a chair next to a fireplace and a Christmas tree with lights.

The event started with a Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Jerry Joaquin OVM.
Members dressed in their denim attires came ready to party.

Our master of ceremonies for the night were Madelyn and John Clifford Alon. They were a fantastic pair as they led the members to participate in the fun games and contests. Each Unit was asked to present a Tiktok song and dance performance and the very prepared Unit C was declared champion.

A raffle was drawn and several lucky members excitedly won prizes.
A live band provided music for grooving and dancing as the party progressed.
All throughout the night, there was fun, laughter and camaraderie among those present.
Special thanks are extended to our Programs and Services Head Michael and Ann Marie Sanchez who made the party possible with the help and support of some of our community members.

Wishing everyone a grace filled Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year ahead!

A monumental Joint Breakfast Meeting by Mandaue Chapter and Mandaue Central Mission was held last December 7, 2024 at BIG Hotel in Mandaue City. The said meeting was attended by 73 breakfasters with some guests from other chapters and 7 first-timers.

The couple sharer, Noel and Dinah Alonzo, courageously and generously recounted their life journey which eventually led the attendees to be emotionally moved.

Their story began from living in poverty without God in them to living in abundance after encountering Him and all "devastating storms" along the way which taught them to be always vigilant and faithful as they live a Christ-centered life.

Mr. Edward and Mrs. Gwendolyn Ocampo's story is a powerful testament to Godโ€™s love and faithfulness. Sharing at the BCBP Breakfast on November 16, 2024, they revealed a journey filled with pain, struggle, and redemptionโ€” one that deeply touched the breakfasters.

Edward, the youngest of five siblings, grew up distant from his faith. Battling asthma, he often felt lost until Gwen entered his life. Gwen, who faced her own struggles, including the pain of growing up with an unstable father, found strength in God and became Edwardโ€™s anchor. Their love story, though beautiful, was not without heartbreak.

Two weeks before their wedding, they lost their first child to eclampsia. Edward faced a devastating battle with leprosy, and Gwenโ€™s health challenges pushed them both to the brink. But amidst their darkest moments, they turned to God.
โ€œWe cried out to Him,โ€ Gwen said, her voice trembling. โ€œI told the Lord, โ€˜Bring it on, but please stay with me.โ€™โ€ And God did. He brought healing, strength, and hope.

Their faith grew deeper through the BCBP community, where they learned to trust God even when it meant walking away from financial stability. โ€œGod provided in ways we never imagined,โ€ Edward shared. From rebuilding their lives to raising two daughters in faith, their story radiates hope.

Today, they serve as a family, singing in choirs, leading prayers, and sharing their journey. โ€œGod turned our pain into blessings,โ€ Gwen said tearfully. โ€œHeโ€™s always been with us.โ€

Their story is a reminder that through every trial, Godโ€™s grace is enough.

The Unit D of the Mandaue Central Mission continues to mold its members in formation by immersing them in leading Action Group Meetings (AGM).

Last November 16, 2024, Unit D4 had their AGM at D' Veranda Resto Bar located in Parkmall, Mandaue City, which was hosted by the Redoble couple with 10 attendees. The sharing centered on the Bible verse, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose", which was taken from Romans 8:28.

On the other hand, Unit D1 had their AGM at Villa Karmina Subdivision in San Vicente, Lilo-an, Cebu last November 24, 2024. The meeting was hosted by Deo Christian Cimafranca and Mayette Jucdong which was attended by 13 members.

The sharing highlighted on giving tithes to the community which was anchored from Proverbs 3:9, "Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops."

On November 16, 2024, the BCBP Mandaue West Chapter hosted a vibrant Joint Breakfast Fellowship at the Bayfront Hotel. This special event, centered around the theme "Conversion is a Lifelong Process," brought together over a hundred members of the community, fostering fellowship and spiritual growth.

Emcees Chris and Lyn Buscato graciously guided the event, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all participants. Their energy and enthusiasm set the tone for a morning filled with fellowship and reflection.

The morning was marked by an inspiring testimony from our distinguished couple sharers, our very own Senior Leaders Engr. George and Cookie Panares. Their experiences and insights resonated deeply with attendees, showcasing the wisdom cultivated through overcoming life's challenges over the years. Their genuine sharing not only captivated the audience, left most shedding tears, but it also served as a poignant reminder of the ongoing journey of conversion that each of us faces, which is God's grace in itself.

As part of the spiritual journey, Eugene Entienza shared a scripture response based on Romans 12:2-3, emphasizing the importance of transformation and renewal in our lives. His message encouraged attendees to embrace the continuous process of conversion, fostering a deeper relationship with God and a commitment to personal growth.

The fellowship was a resounding success, bringing together over a hundred members, including three first-time attendees. It was heartwarming to witness such a turnout, reflecting the strong sense of community and support within the BCBP Mandaue West Chapter.

In conclusion, the Joint Breakfast Fellowship was not just a gathering; it was a celebration of faith, resilience, and the journey of conversion.

Psalm 69:30 says "I will praise God's name in songs and glorify him with thanksgiving", and
this is what the 70 members of our community came to do during our monthly Chapter Assembly held last Nov. 15, 2024 at BIG Hotel.

With the theme "Faith and Gratitude", our Man of the Month Mr. Allen Torrevillas led the community in solemn prayer, praise and worship. During the mini-sharing, some members expressed how their faith remains steadfast despite challenges and all of them shared their gratitude for God's healing, protection, guidance and blessings.

After the praise and worship, our chapter treasurer, the Man of the Month himself, Mr. Allen Torrevillas took the floor to present the financial report. He continues to encourage members to give cheerfully.

Our Sunshine Girl Erna Gaurana, despite the impromptu assignment, was still able to fulfill her task with candor and positive vibes. She acknowledged all the November birthday celebrants and wedding anniversary celebrants and those present were honored with a song in front of the gathered community.

All praise and thanks be to God for such a blessing.
