What a remarkable milestone it has been as the BCBP Mandaue West Chapter celebrated its 10th anniversary ! Our Anniversary Night and Christmas Party last December 14, 2024 showcased how our chapter has blossomed into a vibrant community, filled with joy and camaraderie.
The evening was elegantly themed with a Hollywood Red Carpetvibe, where members arrived in their finest suits, gowns, and outfits, transforming the stunning Beverly View Pavilion into a breathtaking venue. The festivities began with a Holy Mass, where we collectively expressed our gratitude to God for the countless blessings we've received.
As the mass concluded, the energy in the room surged when our dynamic emceeing quartetโEugene Entienza, Raymund Hayag, Greg Bersabal, and Mimi Damuagโtook the stage. Their lively introductions set the stage for an unforgettable evening!
As guests indulged in a delicious buffet, heartfelt video greetings poured in from esteemed well-wishers, Archbishop Palma, RCD Bing Sarigumba, AMD Atty Jess Cagara, BCBP Chairman Atty Louie Ferrer, BCBP President Ani Serrano, BCBP Spiritual Advisor Fr. Herb Schnieder SJ.
Other chapters also sent their well wishes: Kauswagan Outreach Zyrel Chica,
Mandaue CH Roel and Cheekie Bernales, Bogo CH Jay Benueza and Talamban CH Julius Soliban. Their kind words reinforced the strong bonds we share within this community.
A highlight of the evening was the segment titled Chat with the Gomezes, hosted by Brix** and Dr. Kathy Gomez. This engaging discussion featured interviews with past and current Chapter Heads-- Karl and Rose Roque, Max and Doray Arnado, B**g and Luz Bacus and current CH Junie and Cre Alejandro, shedding light on their pivotal roles in the journey of the Mandaue West Chapter. As a token of our appreciation, we honored the dedication of our past presidents with thoughtful gifts.
On behalf of the senior leaders, Emma Nadela delivered heartfelt reminders on how to remain resilient and united as a community. With her trademark motherly touch, she honored the legacy of the late Casi Nadela, whose unwavering passion and love for the chapter continue to inspire us all.
The excitement escalated with our much-anticipated dance presentations themed around popular musicals. Unit C dazzled us with a Mamma Mia skit, followed by Unit Bโs rendition of High School Musical, and concluding with Unit A's Sound of Music performance. While all the presentations were delightful, Unit B took home the championship trophy! Personally, the evening was filled with humility and realization, igniting our determination to claim that trophy next yearโwatch out, Units A and B (ahem, ahem)! Pun aside, Congratulations to all units for their outstanding performances and a special shoutout to Unit B for their victory!
In keeping with the glamorous theme of the night, we recognized our stylish members with awards. Ariel Valle, sporting a sharp blue suit, earned the Best Dressed Male accolade, while the title for Best Dressed Female went to the stunning Kat Gulane, who embraced her fitness goals impressively. The Couple of the Night award was fittingly presented to Dom and JJ Romano for their charming presence.
Reflecting on the entire event, it was an overwhelming success. The atmosphere was filled with joyous laughter, lively dances, and exciting raffle prizes. Huge congratulations to our PSD Heads, BonJovi Jovi Ledon and Bonyang Ledon, for orchestrating such a memorable occasion. This celebration will certainly be etched in our memories, and we eagerly anticipate many more years of love and unity within our community, which we proudly call family.
As we bid farewell to 2024, on behalf of the eLamdag Mandaue West Chapter, we sincerely thank everyone for their continued support of our articles. Your involvement means the world to us!
