𝐁𝐂𝐁𝐏 𝐁𝐨𝐠𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞

On the morning of April 12, 2025, the the usually quiet Northomes Pension House, Bogo City, Cebu came alive with warm smiles, hot coffee, and stories of faith. At around 7:30 AM, the breakfast fellowship welcomed guests from different walks of life, all eager to be reminded of God’s goodness.

But it was the powerful testimony of Mr. Carlo Alex and Mrs. Michelle Rose Lopez from the BCBP Mandaue Chapter that moved everyone to tears and reflection. With raw honesty and deep emotion, they shared how God transformed their pain into purpose.

Both seafarers with humble beginnings, Sir Carlo and Ma’am Michelle worked hard to build a better life. From opening a fitness gym to venturing into maritime and food businesses, they fought through setbacks that would have broken many like court cases, a sick newborn, the loss of a parent, a son diagnosed with autism, and even a warehouse fire. But through every storm, they clung to God’s grace.

“God allowed us to experience darkness so we could appreciate the light,” Michelle shared, her voice steady but full of emotion. “Our breakdowns prepared us for our breakthroughs. And now, our tests have become testimonies.”

Their story reminded every breakfaster that success isn’t about having it easy. It’s about standing firm when things get hard, trusting that God is working behind the scenes.

That morning, hearts were stirred, and hope was renewed. In the Lopez couple’s journey, everyone saw a reflection of God’s promise: “He makes all things beautiful in His time.”

On the morning of April 12, 2025, the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Mandaue West chapter gathered at Bayfront Hotel, North Reclamation Area, for a deeply moving Joint Breakfast Fellowship — the last breakfast before the observance of Holy Week.

Emcees Greg and Menchie Abatol warmly welcomed members and first-time attendees alike, setting the tone for a spirit-filled gathering. The highlight of the morning was the life testimony shared by Jhun and Nina Ycong, a couple from the Cebu South chapter. Centered on the theme “God’s Healing Power of Forgiveness and Acceptance,” their story captured the essence of God’s redemptive love.

Jhun and Nina courageously spoke about their personal struggles, the wounds they carried, and the path they took toward forgiveness — both for each other and themselves. Their journey was not an easy one, but it was evident how God's grace transformed their pain into purpose. What made their sharing even more powerful was how it resonated deeply with many in the audience — a silent reminder that our personal experiences, no matter how painful, can be vessels for God’s glory when we choose to surrender them.

As one attendee reflected:

Following the testimony, Mike Garcia led the Scripture Response, bridging the message of the sharing with the Word of God — emphasizing the transformative power of Christ when we allow forgiveness and acceptance to take root in our lives.

After the breakfast, the participants engaged in a Regional Teaching and Training Center (RTTC) Orientation conducted by Rene Sanapo. This session was filled with surprises, including an engaging “sudden death” volunteering activity that brought out enthusiasm and spontaneity from the participants. Group sharings afterward offered another opportunity for reflection, learning, and connection — reinforcing the community’s mission to grow in faith and service.

The event reminded everyone that Holy Week is not only a time of solemn remembrance but also a call to healing, reconciliation, and renewed purpose. As the community continues to gather, testify, and grow together, the seeds of transformation planted in every breakfast fellowship continue to bear fruit in each life touched by His grace.

𝑨𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒍 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒊 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑯𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒍

April 6, 2025 marked a momentous and historic milestone in the life of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) as the Mandaue West chapter officially launched the BCBP Mandaue East Mission. Held at the Royal Hall of Citipark Hotel, the Inauguration Breakfast Fellowship carried the theme “From Self-Reliance to Divine Trust,” a powerful declaration of surrender and faith.
The event, lovingly and energetically hosted by Dom and JJ Romano, brought together 111 participants, including an extraordinary 16 first-time attendees and a significant number of Senior Leaders and Counselors from the community and other chapters—a clear sign of God’s movement and blessing on this new mission field.
At the heart of the morning was the anointed life testimony of Engr. Ayie Valle and his wife, Jhing Valle. With honesty and humility, they shared their journey from inner turmoil and relational struggles to healing and restoration through their encounter with the BCBP community. What began as a simple invitation to a breakfast fellowship became the divine catalyst for deep transformation. Their rediscovery of faith led them to the Brotherhood Christian Life Program (BCLP) and the Brotherhood Christian Marriage Retreat (BCMR), where they found renewal—not just as individuals, but as a family.
Their story resonated deeply: from being Sunday Catholics, they became a family anchored in daily prayer, humility, and a renewed commitment to Christ. Their testimony was a living witness to the power of God’s grace when we shift from self-reliance to divine trust.
As JB Pizan delivered the Scripture Response, quoting Matthew 6:25-27, the message came through clearly to all: “Do not worry… Look at the birds of the air… your Heavenly Father feeds them.” It was a timely and divine reminder to all present—we are here by God’s design, not coincidence.
For the first-timers, the event was a sacred invitation to begin a faith journey. For the active members, it was a call to renewed commitment—to say “yes” once again to God’s mission. Every act of service, every breakfast invitation, and every faithful “yes” is sowing seeds that can change lives.
Above all, this was not just a celebration of a new mission; it was the birth of a Spirit-led movement. The inauguration of the BCBP Mandaue East Mission will forever be remembered as a pivotal moment in BCBP history—a bold step into God’s greater plan for evangelization, transformation, and community growth in Cebu.

A young couple, Joveth and Reggie Rose Cocamas from Talamban Chapter shared their story at the Breakfast Meeting of Mandaue Central Mission last April 5, 2025.

The meeting was attended by 33 members amongst with are two first-time breakfasters, two graduates and the Regional Council Director, Bing Sarigumba and his wife Annie.

Life's testimony of the couple centered on God's grace amid challenges, restoration through faith and community and surrendering to God's will.

𝐴𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑙 5, 2025 | 𝐵𝑎𝑦𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑡 𝐻𝑜𝑡𝑒𝑙 𝑁𝑅𝐴

The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Mandaue West gathered in unity and spiritual fellowship for a Joint Breakfast Fellowship held on April 5, 2025, at the Bayfront Hotel NRA. The event was graced by members from various chapters who came together to nourish both body and soul through worship, testimony, and community.

The fellowship was joyfully hosted by the dynamic couple Rudy and Cristy Pepito, who guided the morning with warmth and enthusiasm. Attendees were deeply moved by the powerful sharing of Dexter and Mildred Zambo from BCBP Cebu East, who gave a heartfelt testimony entitled “From Brokenness to Blessings: A Journey of Faith and Healing.” Their story spoke of life’s trials, personal transformation, and the undeniable grace of God that brought them from pain into purpose.

Following their talk, Freddie Alegarbes led the Scripture Response, further grounding the message of the morning in God’s Word and reminding everyone of the importance of faith through life’s challenges.

After the breakfast fellowship, participants joined the Lenten Recollection and Mass, which centered around the theme: “Let us Journey Together in Hope.” The recollection was facilitated by Father Erwin Joey E. Cabilan, SDB, who offered deep reflections and spiritual insights for the Lenten season. His message emphasized communal faith, compassion, and the hope that sustains believers during their personal and collective journeys.

The day served as a reminder that through shared stories, prayer, and fellowship, God’s love continues to heal and restore.

𝐉𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐘 𝐈𝐍 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇

God allows us to experience struggles, pains and challenges in life but with all of those He assures us that He will be with us in our battles.

This was the takeaway message left by the couple sharer, Eleazar and Sheila Mae Leyson from Consolacion Chapter last March 22, 2025 at L:CK Bldg. Insular Square, Mandaue City.

The Breakfast Meeting has one first-time breakfaster with a total of twenty-eight attendees.

𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 cascades 𝐉𝐎𝐃 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participants from BCBP Cebu North and Cebu East for successfully completing the two-day Joy of Discovery (JOD) in Bible Study Session held at the Cebu Quincentennial Hotel on February 8 and 15, 2025. A total of 55 participants completed the two-day program.

Our sincerest gratitude goes to Central Cebu Region RCD Dr. Sander Ugalino, Cebu East Chapter Head Mr. Carl Veloso, and Cebu North Chapter Head Mr. Sever Mendoza for their efforts in organizing this meaningful event.

We also appreciate the support of the Senior Leaders from both chapters, whose encouragement motivated fellow members to actively participate in the BCBP JOD program.

𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐂𝐄𝐀𝐍

The Breakfast Meeting of Mandaue Central Mission last February 22, 2025 at LCK Bldg. Insular Square, Mandaue City was akin to a sail in the ocean when Alan Magusara of Lapu-lapu Chapter, who is currently employed in a shipbuilder company, along with his beloved wife Ernanelia, navigated the course of their story to 33 attendees that morning.

According to the couple sharer, "God's love is like an ocean. You can see the beginning but not the end."

Moreover, they left the attendees with a reflective message that the ship is surrounded by a vast of water but it is not the reason why a ship will sink. The ship will only sink if you allow the water around it to get inside. In the same manner, the negativity around us won't affect us unless we let them in.
