15 days na since nagsimula yung taong to, kamusta na mga goals mo?

I just spoke to a friend lately and listening to his rants about work, money, and life in general, I realized something...

Kung di ka na talaga masaya – whether sa trabaho mo, sa career mo, sa relationship mo, or sa kung ano mang ginagawa mo...

Bakit andyan ka pa?

Real talk lang.

Are you only staying because "no choice" ka na?

I find that hard to believe.

Why?

Kasi with the way the world is constructed right now, we have an ABUNDANCE of choices.

Sa sobrang dami nga, di mo na alam kung ano pipiliin mo.

"Analysis paralysis" na nga ang nangyayari.

But that's a topic for another day.

Ang point ko...

Saying "no choice" na tayo in any situation that we have is the BIGGEST LIE we tell ourselves.

If you want a "new and better" job, i-Google mo lang. Sobrang daming lalabas na job openings na pasok sa gusto mo.

Isama mo pa yung freelancing at mga remote work options.

Looking to switch careers? Daming courses (both free and paid) that will allow you to upskill what you already know or even learn a new skill.

Pwede mo ding pasukin ang mundo ng sales like being an agent ng mga sasakyan, becoming a financial advisor, or even a real estate broker.

Gusto mo ng bagong relationship? Napakadaling mag-sign up sa mga dating sites like Tinder, Bumble, LitMatch, at kung ano-ano pa.

Minsan nga IG or Snapchat lang pwede na. Iykyk.

So bakit ka nga ba talaga nag-s'stay sa kung anong meron ka, kahit parang di ka na masaya?

(Opinion ko lang naman 'to...)

Kasi deep inside, you know you can do better.

Deep inside, you haven't given everything you can give.

Deep inside, alam mong may igagaling ka pa.

At natatakot kang pagsisihan na umalis ka agad nang hindi mo pa talaga nagawa yung best mo.

Sabi nga ng isa sa mga mentors ko...

The grass is NOT always greener on the other side, it's greener when you water it.

And TRUE happiness is found NOT by looking at others' backyards, but by looking at your own backyard and working it out to be the best it can be.

Kaya naman this 2024, may we adapt this kind of mantra...

Ilaban muna natin ng todo bago tayo sumuko.

Ibigay muna natin lahat ng kaya nating ibigay bago tayo umalis.

Galingan muna natin ng matindi bago natin sabihin na "maybe it's not for me."

Let's give our best FIRST before we give up.

So in the end, we won't have any regrets.

After all, one thing I've learned about humans is this:

THE PAIN OF REGRET IS ALWAYS GREATER THAN THE FEAR OF FAILURE.

Di bale nang mag-fail, kesa wala tayong gawin at magsisi sa huli.

Imperfect actions taken in spite of fear create surprising results that you can only dream of before.

Yesterday, I was given an opportunity to provide an AI and ChatGPT training exclusive to Autohub Group — one of the biggest automotive company in the country.

The exclusive distributor of high-end cars like Rolls-Royce, Pagani, and Shelby in the Philippines.

When I started my agency, one of my vision is to become the premier ChatGPT training provider and AI Integrator in the country.

I know I'm just a newly formed agency so it was a steep climb...

But just like what one of my coaches have said...

Wala sa tagal yan.

It's all about the value you can give.

So I took action and offered my services despite of fear.

I sent my proposal, worked with their operations team in determining the problems of their company, and positioned my services as the solution to their problems.

The back-and-forth meetings, sleepless nights and continuous fine-tuning of the training program finally paid off.

Being able to provide this training to a company like this is a huge step towards my vision.

Was the training perfect? Far from it.

Dami ngang feedback ng training manager nila. 😅

Were there moments of self-doubt and asking myself if I'm deserving to give this kind of training?

Yes, there is. Sobrang pessimistic ko kaya. 😅

But I also know I have something valuable to give. A solution that can help make their company and their business better.

Again, my focus is GIVING value, NOT GETTING anyone's approval.

That gave me the strength and courage to move forward.

Did the participants get a lot of value from the training?

I believe so.

A training that was only scheduled for 2 hours ended up lasting up to 3 and a half hours.

Yung tipong tinigil na lang kasi uwian na. 😂

So there you have it.

Act in spite of fear.

Focus on giving value.

Stay true to your vision.

Once you do that, good things will happen.

And things will start falling into place.

The Three Levels of Using AI (And How to Make Tons of Money Doing It)

When it comes to AI usage, it basically boils down to three levels.

Whatever your work or business is right now...

Whether you're into marketing, accounting, biz dev, real estate, service provision, logistics, food, etc...

If you want to integrate AI in what you do and join the biggest technological revolution of our lifetime...

Then you need to know what these levels are, what's needed to succeed in each level, and what level can you focus on based on where you are and what you have.

So what are those three levels?

The first level is to make the AI itself, something that would rival ChatGPT.

Google is doing it, in the form of Bard.

Think of it as building the AI infrastructure that you will feed billions of data with...

So it can grow, become capable of thinking on itself, and generate outputs, either text or image, based on the inputs your provide.

If you have elite-level skills to create one, have massive resources to purchase or create the technology needed to host it, and is passionate enough to handle this kind of project...

Then you should focus on doing this and nothing else.

But if not, then it's best you leave this lane.

Because someone else will do it better.

Yes, this level is where you can possibly make trillions (of whatever currency), and only a handful of people will be able to do it...

(Which means less competition)

But that's not the only way you can use AI and make a lot of money out of it.

Which brings us to the second level.

It involves using the existing AI infrastructure to build softwares, apps, or tools that other people can use.

Here's a crazy fact: there are 100+ unique AI tools being created every single day.

They're using the existing AI algorithms (ChatGPT API, for example) to create AI tools to make work and other human functions easier.

Basically you're going to build an app or AI tool using the existing AI infrastructure, that can solve a human problem -- in their work, business, or personal life.

Examples of these are AI tools that can help you create fitness plans in an instant, or another AI tool that can serve as your virtual assistant.

AI Chatbots are another example.

They may all look different, but most of them are based on the AI technology found inside ChatGPT.

Build the app once, and get paid for it as long as someone is using the AI tool you created.

If you're good with codes and have unique ideas on how people can interface with AI, then this level is for you.

But not everyone wants to build an app.

And there's a lot going on in our day-to-day life that has little to do with starting an app company.

Most people are just trying to solve their daily problems and make their lives easier and better.

This bring us to the third level of AI usage.

The third level is to be a user of the AI tools being created, or ChatGPT itself, and becoming an expert in it.

This is the most accessible level, something that can be done by anyone, as long as they spend enough time focusing on studying any AI tool and using it to its utmost capacity.

You could be a graphic artist using AI tools to make your work faster and generate more outputs in less time.

Or a copywriter using AI to write a copy of your first draft so you can spend more time editing and making the final touches.

Or a business owner brainstorming with AI to make your systems more efficient.

The list goes on...

And truth be told, there are a million ways to use AI tools for your work, no matter what industry you're in.

Some are already discovered, but many more remain to be seen.

Whatever level you choose in using AI, the most important thing is this...

The goal is not to be completely dependent on AI or make it replace the work that you do.

Since that will take you out of the equation...

The goal is to find the perfect intersection of work and technology...

So you can use AI to amplify your existing skills and gain a competitive advantage.

What is the best and most effective AI level?

The one where you can use AI to its fullest capacity and will work best with the abilities that you already have.

Once you figure that out, that's the level you need to focus on.

That's the level you'll win.

It's time to break my silence.

Over the past week, I've been seeing a lot in my feed of people discussing and sharing their knowledge about AI, specifically ChatGPT.

Nothing wrong about it.

It's just that...

I can't help but notice that what they're sharing is actually the opposite of what's really happening when you use the tool.

Which led me to believe that this is another classic examples of...

"Coaches coaching other coaches how to coach, but not really doing any coaching at all."

All preach. No practice.

Honestly speaking...

I'm not really a fan of regularly posting content.

"Tooting my own horn" actually makes me cringe.

But for this matter, I have to make an exemption.

I'm sick and tired of these so-called "gurus" teaching about AI or ChatGPT without actually doing the work themselves.

Leading people into the wrong knowledge of using these tools.

It's time to stop this nonsense.

I've been using AI for my clients and for my own business since the start of this year.

Before I had my first workshop, I literally spent hundreds of hours chatting with ChatGPT and knowing what it can and can't do.

Figured out the depths of it so I can improve my work in my own business and in my clients' businesses.

There was a moment (a few months ago) that I was spending more time talking with ChatGPT than my own partner, who lives with me under the same roof.

I'm NOT just a preacher of the tool. I'm a practitioner of it, and I already made money out of it.

Having said that...

If you're following me right now, then pay attention...

Over the few weeks and months, I'm going to reveal everything I know about the tool.

My AI topics will center around 4 things:

- How to make money using ChatGPT and other AI tools
- How to make your work faster and more efficient using ChatGPT
- The right prompts to use in ChatGPT to get the output you want
- Other AI tools you can use with ChatGPT to achieve maximum results

So stay tuned.

P.S. I'm thinking of starting my own newsletter focusing on AI (esp ChatGPT) knowledge, updates and effective use.

Do you think I should start one? Let me know in the comments.

The True Value of Marketing

Most small biz owners, coaches and consultants I had the pleasure of speaking with...

Think of marketing as something they can easily plug into their business.

A part of their day-to-day operation.

In line with opening up shop, taking customer orders, deliveries, cash registry, bookkeeping, team huddles, or client meetings.

While there may be some truth into that...

They usually miss out what an effective marketing can actually bring to their business.

Sure, activites like creating Social Media content, sending flyers to local prospects, writing a blog post, building a website and even running ads...

Are all part of marketing your product or service....

But a true marketer worth a grain of salt knows that marketing is beyond that.

Before you even post that first piece of content in any of your social media channels...

Before you create that blog post, build that website or set up that ad...

A clearly defined marketing strategy should be mapped out first.

A marketing strategy that reflects your marketing goal.

Why are you marketing in the first place?

Is it simply to create visibility?

Gather leads?

Convert prospects to buyers?

Or make your customers buy from you again?

Without a clear marketing goal and a defined marketing strategy, all your efforts will just be futile.

That's why I see a lot of biz owners, coaches and consultants trying to promote their business online with little to no results...

They jump to whatever marketing trend they see and imitate what most people are doing...

Whether it's Facebook, Chatbots, Youtube or even Tiktok...

The problem is those people they're trying to follow also don't know what they're doing.

A classic example of the blind leading the blind.

But it doesn't end here.

Before you even come up with your marketing goal and craft your strategy...

You have to know first what your Unique Selling Proposition is.

How are you different from your competitors?

What market problem are you actually solving?

What makes you think that your offer actually provides the solution to that problem?

Who exactly have these problems and will benefit the most from these solutions?

Do you see it now?

There are layers and layers to this.

And the deeper you go and figure this out first, the more effective your marketing will be.

Yes, anyone can create a social media post.

Anyone can write a blog, build a funnel or run ads...

But ONLY a true marketer knows that before you do any of it, pre-work must be done.

And it's done by asking the right questions to come up with the right answers.

That's what separates the true professional from the wannabe marketers...

Those who have dedicated a significant amount of time and effort in learning this craft...

From those who just want to make a quick buck.

If you are a biz owner, coach or consultant and you reached the end of this post, I've got something for you.

Let's level up your business and craft a defined marketing plan by booking a FREE strategy call with me today.

The TRUTH about Modern Marketing

Nowadays, trying to find a unique angle for your marketing is a tall task.

Whatever claim, promise or guarantee you're making, your prospects have probably heard about it somewhere.

There's no denying it.

But it doesn't mean your marketing strategy won't work.

It only means the number of touchpoints a customer goes through before deciding to buy from you is increasing every day.

Touchponts are basically the windows of interaction betweeen a buyer and a business.

In the early age of internet marketing, you can sell to anyone just about anything with only a single ad.

Now, your prospects have to go through the journey of knowing you, liking you, and eventually trusting you...

Before they actually buy from you.

That's why we have all these ads, retargeting ads, landing pages, emails, and sales pages flying around...

Or what we collectively call a "sales funnel"

They serve as touchpoints that guide your prospects in their journey to becoming your customer.

This isn't a bad thing, though.

You'll have more time and more options to write compelling copy, tell your story and showcase your expertise.

The most important thing you'll have to remember is this...

Whatever marketing message you put out...

Keep it simple, yet full of value.

At any point in your marketing campaign, give them a reason to make a decision and act.

Cause you'll never know where in these touchpoints will someone decide to buy.

Focus your business on providing value, and eventually the value you give out will find its way back to you. 🔥💯

Backstory: This client is a startup. He has a normal job, a corporate executive with over 16 years of work experience.

Now, he wants to bring his expertise in the digital platform by becoming an online business consultant.

During our initial discovery call I probed about his goals, his plans on becoming a consultant and his expectations in working with a digital marketing specialist.

He's relatively new to the online marketing field so I had to explain to him thoroughly how I'll do things if he decides to work with me.

After the call, I put down everything in writing -- his goals, his plans and how can I help him achieve his plans -- with a 37-PAGE Proposal.

Did I have any guarantee that he'll end up working with me? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

But I know deep inside what my business is all about.

It's not about the money.

It's not about getting paid.

It's not about making the sale or closing the deal.

If that's what my business is all about, I wouldn't exert that much effort creating a proposal that long.

I'll treat him as just another lead, a number that I will track for my lead gen and sales process.

But I understand what my prospect problems are and I know I can help him.

So I have to show him that solution in a way that he will understand.

Since he's a beginner, I have to explain the concepts I'm discussing in my strategy one-by-one.

It may be a long and arduous process, but that's what my business is all about.

It's about providing value.

It's about going the extra mile.

It's about coming from a position of help.

He still had a lot of questions and clarifications after the initial proposal.

In fact, we still ended up having 2 more calls and I had to make last-minute modifications to my offer before the client finally agreed.

But once the client signed the agreement and paid the upfront fee, everything was worth it.

I felt validated.

I once again proved to myself that I was doing it the right way.

It may not be easy.

There are no shortcuts.

But in the end, all of the hardwok, the effort, and the sleepless nights paid off.

The reward is not even the payment made or the money earned. It was just proof.

The true reward is the process itself -- going through it and experiencing it and making me a better entrepreneur and service provider because of it.

We lost a great man today. An icon. A legend.

But his work ethic, his love and passion for the game, his mindset, and his relentless pursuit of greatness in the playing court and out of it (during his early retirement years) have inspired us that anything can truly be done if we put our mind and heart to it.

Kobe, you will be missed. You may be gone too soon, but never out, for your memories and inspiration will live on -- not just in this present generation, but on to the next one.

With the coming of the New Year and now a new decade, most of us write down our own New Year's resolution.

But most of the time, we fail doing it.

Even the simple ones, like never being late for work, stopping ourselves from smoking, or controlling our anger.

I, personally, have fallen short of my own New Year's resolution year after year after year.

But as I reflect on it, I realized it boils down to two reasons:

First, we put too much emphasis on 'having' or 'getting' what we want, instead of focusing on 'being' the person capable of having or getting what we want.

Second, is the lack of accountability.

We have to admit. Change is hard. Particularly positive change.

Alone, on our own. it's really difficult to fulfill the promise we made to ourselves.

That's why we need people who will check on us if we're following through with our New Year's resolutions.

So for my New Year's resolution this 2020, I will focus on 'being' instead of 'having', and practice accountability.

This year, I'll be more purposeful in my actions. Whatever I'm going to do or whatever endeavor I'm going to take should be aligned to my life purpose.

Now that I've given you my New Year's resolution, what's yours? Comment down below so we can be accountable for each other. 😊💯

3 Primary Hurdles You Need to Overcome When Starting your Side Hustle

Today I had a healthy online discussion with my mentor John R Pagulayan

He asked this question "Why are most people focused on 'saving' than earning more?"

Not that I'm against saving money, investing or anything like that.

But truth be told, if you ask most people how to manage and grow their finances, most would answer saving and investing their hard-earned money instead of looking for other income opportunities.

I always see this 52-week "ipon challenge" on my timeline which focuses on saving money.

But never a 52-week "side-hustle challenge" that could focus on creating another income stream for anyone.

For me, the connotation of picking saving money over starting a side hustle is like choosing to "playing it safe" rather than "taking a risk".

So why not take the risk? Why settle instead of working it out?

The answer is simple.

It's hard, and most people don't want to go through that.

They just don't have that fight in them anymore.

But if you're one of those people who's still willing to try it out, willing to take that risk and make that move, then you have to overcome these 3 primary hurdles to start.

1. Lack of motivation - By now you must be motivated enough to act and be willing to take that first step.

What most people don't realize though is you have to be continuously motivated to keep going and follow through with your actions.

When you decide to make more money by starting a side hustle, it's not going to be a walk in the park.

It's not going to be accomplished in a day, in a week, or even in a month. In fact, you may not earn the first time you try to do it at all.

That's where the motivation kicks in. If you're motivated enough to make it work, you will follow through with it until you succeed on it.

2. Lack of education - This one's funny, considering that the most valuable information, if not all, are already available online. Some of it are actually free.

So why is there a lack?

The problem was never the lack of resources.

It's the lack of awareness.

Most people don't even know what it is they don't know.

They're not aware of what skills they need to learn to start their own side hustle.

Don't be like them. Be different.

Understand your market and determine what they need.

Know what skills you need to learn then start studying.

3. Lack of exposure - We have a saying that you are the average of the 5 people you always spend time with.

This ring true when starting your own side-hustle as well.

If you really want to make a change in your life, you need to expose ourselves in an environment or a group of people who will help you succeed.

Most of the time, your environment is the main factor why you're not able to make that leap.

People around you, your family members, friends, peers, husbands or wives keep telling you that it won't work, that you're risking something for nothing, and over time you're starting to believe in them.

But that's not exactly true.

Don't listen to naysayers.

If you really want to start your side-hustle, you have to accept the fact that not everyone will be on your side, and that's okay.

What you need to do instead is to look for a community that would support you in your chosen endeavor.

Talk to them.

Connect with them.

Join an online support group.

Spend more time with them so you'll know how to make it work.

Expose yourself to other people's success, and in time you'll get to experience yours.

Remember, what you believe in will become your reality.

If you honestly believe that it will happen, that you can earn more from your side-hustle, then it surely will.

I wish the best for you.

Don't be afraid to start.

Over and out.
