Vanguards Celebra8
8th Anniversary Dinner

Premier Male Pageant and Model Management Camp “The Vanguards” celebrated its 8th Anniversary last January 11 at Geluk Philippines in Quezon City.

On hand to lead the celebrations was the camp’s Founder Fashion Photographer and Director Yhuong Botor. Joining him were The Vanguards’ various stakeholders as well as models being groomed by the management camp.

“I have always envisioned for The Vanguards to make a mark. I am so happy that 8 years on, we continue to strive and produce quality kings, artist and models who have made and are making an impact in all their works”, Botor states.

One of the Vanguards kings who joined in the celebration is one of the first kings the camp has ever produced—Ion Perez—who won the title of Mister Universe Tourism in 2017. Currently, he is making his presence in Philippine showbusiness by being one of the resident hosts in the country’s hottest noontime show, “It’s Showtime”.

“I’m always proud of the fact that I started in Vanguards,” Perez mentions. “It helped develop me which opened doors for me.”

Also on-hand in the celebration was the camp’s latest king—Howell Adrian—who was crowned King of the World Philippines in 2024.

“The Vanguards is more than a camp. It’s an extension of a family,” Howell says. “I have met friends I consider as an extension of my own family.”

8 years since its creation, the camp has produced 6 kings:

• Ion Perez – Misters of Filipinas and Mister Universe Tourism 2017
• Clint Karklins Peralta – Misters of Filipinas 2017 and Man of the World 2018 1st Runner-Up
• Lee Bueno – Mister BPO 2017
• JP Ocat – Misters of Filipinas 2018 and Man of the World 2019 3rd Runner-Up
• Tommy Penaflor – Man of the World Philippines 2019
• Howell Adrian – King of the World Philippines 2024

Vanguards also focuses on Entertainment Industry as we partner with Media Quest Artist by TV5 through Tyler Lopez Co-management Contract. This February 8, 2025 - Another Three (3) Vanguards will be part of Global Reality TV Survival Competition.
