A Yes or No Question is not your typical love story. It is a story that involves friendship and learning life beyond what's laid in a woman's life.

This book has one point of view from the female lead Susan. Susan is a graduating student whom future was laid out by her parents. Susan, our female lead, comes from a well-off family, where her parents expect her to follow in their footsteps and uphold their legacy. However, all she truly wants is the freedom to pursue her own passions.

One day, she accidentally met three people who are close to each other ( friends they are ) but are from the wrong side of town; and this is when her life changed.

Characters:

💙 Susan, our female lead, simply wants to pursue her own desires but is constantly bound by her parents' expectations. Initially, I thought she was rebelling against them by choosing to follow three people she barely knows. However, I soon realized that it wasn’t just about defiance—these people made her feel valued and seen.

💙 Sam, Billy, and Jameson each have complex, distinct personalities. Though vastly different from Susan, they all play a crucial role in shaping her journey, contributing to her growth in ways she never anticipated.

While this story wasn’t exactly my cup of tea at first, I found myself enjoying it more as I got further in. By midway, I was genuinely engaged. Readers who enjoy books with themes similar to mafia stories will likely find this one compelling and worth the read.

Could have been 5. It is just that I felt like the ending was rushed.

Ares-Valentine ( AVA ) started with a scene with Harper Solace, the female main character and her uncle Nolan. Our FMC received the news that she needs to enrol already to Ares-Valentine Academy, a school for enchanted or those who have magical powers.

Harper's story unfolds during her first year at AVA, a prestigious school her parents once attended and where they were active members of the alumni council. Tragically, her parents were among the casualties of a devastating fire that broke out in one of the academy's buildings.

At AVA, she crosses paths with Caleb, a charismatic and charming student who takes an immediate interest in her. As their connection deepens, Harper also forms bonds with a new group of friends and begins to discover the intricacies of her school life.

The story also introduces Nick Valentine, a teacher at the academy whose enigmatic presence seems to hold more significance than Harper initially realizes. As Harper grapples with her past, her future, and the secrets surrounding the fire, she will find herself drawn into a web of intrigue and emotional complexity.

The mix of magic and fated / mates is not new for me. Amongst the books I started this January, I think this one is the book that got me hooked and I have read in 2 days time only. The revelations along the 60% part of the book about how Harper got her scars, her childhood memory that will play a great impact to the people in the council, her parents and Nick's parents death, the council - these built more depth to the story.

I think this book has a great potential! I am looking forward for the next installments. I also hope more people read this book.

From its title 𝙁𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚, 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙁𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙨 1, I expected the manga to have a darker story—something with mafia, bad guys, or a similar vibe. However, it's actually not like that but I am not disappointed.

This manga follows a female and male lead who appear angelic, acting graceful, kind, and perfect, yet each harbors a hidden side they don't show to the world. It's a fun and engaging read, and I'm excited to see how the story unfolds in future volumes. I'm especially looking forward to seeing how these two students learn to embrace their true selves and realize that letting their other sides show can actually be helpful at times.

The artwork is amazing! The main leads are so pretty and handsome!

This is just on me, but I just don't like that the fmc was so obvious of his adoration to the mmc.

I picked up Iron Flame weeks prior the release of Onyx Storm. I read it accompanied with a graphic audio book. Iron Flame is the second book in The Empyrean series and continues the story of our heroine Violet Sorrengail in her journey in the time of war, duty and love.

The book opened (continued from last scene in Fourth Wing) with Violet's discovery that her brother Brennan Sorrengail is still alive and is part of the Assembly, a group based in Aretia, residing in the Riorson House, dedicated to protecting the citizens of Poromish and Navaria from the growing threat of venin.

Read all 5 volumes of The Savior’s Book Cafe Story in Another World!

Plot: Tsukina is a single, thirty something office worker whose favorite thing is curling up with a good book. When a god tells her that she must go to another workd to become its magival savior, Tsukina isn’t interested.

Less than 200 pages per chapter. Light read! 10/10 I recommend. 💕
