On this day, we honor our heroes who have made brave sacrifices and strengthened our flag with pride. Let us live to continue the tale of our nation's heroes. Let their sacrifices be filled with joy as the story lives in our nation's hearts.

This day is celebrated to honor and remember the bravery, sacrifices, and contributions of the Filipino heroes who fought for the country's independence and freedom throughout its history. These heroes include well-known figures like Josรฉ Rizal, Andrรฉs Bonifacio, and Emilio Aguinaldo, as well as countless other unnamed individuals who played significant roles in shaping the Philippines.

The day serves as a reminder of the importance of courage and the ongoing struggle for the country's progress and welfare. It is a time for us, Filipinos, to reflect on our national identity, appreciate the freedom we enjoy, and acknowledge the effort of those who came before us in building the nation.

๐—ก๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜† ๐—”๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ผ ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜† | August 21, 2024

Today is annually reserved for Ninoy Aquino Day, a national non-working holiday in the Philippines known for its history about the assassination of former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr., the husband of Corazon Aquino, who later became the eleventh Philippine President. By the year 1983, on August 21st, former senator Benigno โ€œNinoyโ€ Aquino Jr. was brazenly murdered at the Manila International Airport on the day of his return from exile in the United States.

Republic Act No. 9256, created by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on February 25, 2004, was meant to provide Filipinos with the occasion to reflect on the significance of his assassination. Filipinos sought to remember how the four-day phenomenon overthrew the Marcos regime as virtually bloodless and nonviolent. Not long after Ninoyโ€™s very public murder, people realized that his death cast a piercing light on all the other past victims of the dictatorship, resulting in the movement named โ€œJAJAโ€โ€”Justice for Aquino, Justice for All.

To this day, it served as a commemoration to make room for the death of "Ninoy" Aquino and to reinforce this forgetful mindset, as said in President Marcosโ€™ Executive Order No. 665, by resetting August 21 to August 23, a Friday.

As students, we tend to gaze upon countless other things that we perceive as primarily important in our day-to-day lives. We let the significance of our past that molded our perception to get what we are from today be dismissed from our minds forever. In this modern day, as well as the holder of the future, we need this day to be reminded for what it was like to live in the former days and appreciate the outcome that made it to our present.

Closing Program of Brigada Eskwela '24 | August 2, 2024

The closing program of Brigada Eskwela '24 was conducted yesterday, August 2, 2024 and was attended by students and teachers. The program occured at the MNHS covered court at 2:00 PM.

The Tanghalang Bagong Sibol took part in the event with their meaningful steps. With stories that touched many hearts, the play conveyed the effects of depression and how it can cause someone to feel negative emotions for who and what they are. The messages from the main characters encouraged and inspired everyone to continue despite their struggles, never give up, appreciate our loved ones, and have a reason to go forward even if we keep failing.

Towards the end of the program, giveaway kits were handed to the students who attended which gave smiles on their faces. They raised their gifts while showing appreciation for what they were given to help with their studies and left with their needed materials for the school year. This school year starts on August 5th, where everyone will learn new things. The grounds of Malabon National High School will be beaming with excitement, crowded with students who are eager to learn.

Together let's walk through the door of a new chapter that awaits us. Let us all take our time to enjoy and cherish every moment before we undertake our responsibilities as students once again as the new school year starts.

Today, July 31, 2024, the school launched a pre-class opening to prepare for the upcoming school year that will start on August 5, 2024. At 5:30 AM, everyone came together at the MNHS covered court for the flag ceremony that started with a prayer led by Mr. Carlo Gungon, and the programme was executed by other teachers with the help of students from the Special Program in the Arts. The energizer โ€˜Galaw Pilipinasโ€™ led by Mr. Jhon Patrick Malinawan and Mr. Alvin Martinez helped lift their moods. Before the ceremony ended, our dear principal, Dr. Olivia Q. Martin, and respected head teachers gave their warm remarks to the students, faculty, and non-teaching personnel, encouraging them to welcome the new school year and have a productive and meaningful academic journey.

We hope that this pre-opening of classes also became a way for you to be prepared and reduce your worry for the upcoming official opening of classes on August 5, 2024.

This school year, let's embrace new opportunities and make amazing experiences with the school community! Good luck, dear students! โญ

Today is the last day of the Brigada Eskwela '24 with our one and only theme "๐‘ฉ๐‘จ๐’€๐‘จ๐‘ต๐‘ฐ๐‘ฏ๐‘จ๐‘ต para sa ๐‘ด๐‘จ๐‘ป๐‘จ๐‘ป๐‘จ๐‘ฎ na paaralan." Through wind and rain, and despite Typhoon Carina that delayed our Brigada Eskwela last week we are still here and rose together, turning challenges into triumphs! From 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Malabon National High School shone with unity and relentless effort. We succeed in transforming every corner with PPU that stands for Passion, Pride, and Unity! ๐Ÿ†

As we say at Malabon, '๐‘ป๐’๐’ˆ๐’†๐’•๐’‰๐’†๐’“ ๐’˜๐’† ๐’“๐’Š๐’”๐’†, ๐’”๐’•๐’“๐’๐’๐’ˆ๐’†๐’“ ๐’•๐’‰๐’‚๐’ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐’”๐’•๐’๐’“๐’Ž!' ๐ŸŒŸ Sir Carlos Gungon led the attendance of the teachers both for junior and senior high school, school heads, and the non-teaching personnel. The school staff also distributed free pandesal and lugaw to satisfy the hunger of the students and teachers who participated. The repeated help and support given by our SSLG officers and Principal until the very last day of this event is also one of the reasons for our successful Brigada Eskwela for this school year. For the last day of Brigada Eskwela all of us joined forces and finally fixed the classrooms of our school that was also used by evacuees due to intense flooding of the typhoon recently. A big appreciation for the teachers, staff, and students for your dedication and hard work in making this a success.

Your commitment to our school's excellence is truly inspiring and makes us proud. Let's continue to build on this spirit of teamwork and community as we embark on another school year of learning and growth together!
