Many ways to make turbo chicken. Here’s how we do it, with an easy toyomansi marinade, step by step. 🍗

* 1 c toyo
* 3 T oyster sauce
* 2 T patis
* 2 T calamansi juice
* 1 whole chicken
* 4 stalks lemongrass, pounded
* 1 bulb garlic
* 1 medium onion

Cook at 180C for 40 minutes. The result: succulent and juicy chicken, as our turbo broiler box promised!

How to make sigarilyas + sitaw gising-gising, step by step. Save this recipe for days when you need double the veg 🫛

* ½ c white onions
* 2 T minced garlic
* 250g pork liempo (belly)
* 2 T bagoong
* 1 c sliced sigarilyas (winged beans)
* 1 c sliced sitaw (long beans)
* 1 c coconut milk
* 2–3 red chilies, minced (optional)

Ever made tuna kinilaw at home? 🐟 If you’re anxious about preparing raw fish, don’t worry. Kinilaw is “cooked”—kind of!

When raw tuna meets vinegar, the acids denature the proteins and “cook” the fish. The tuna gets firmer and less translucent—as if lightly cooked with heat. 💡

But acids don’t cook the fish all the way through like heat does. You still get a raw, tender bite within. So get the best quality tuna you can get! Preferably sashimi-grade.
