Do You Have Voice Over Talent?
WHAT IS IT, AND WHO HAS IT?

Someone has said, "There is nothing so sad as an unfulfilled potential.") It's as true of someone with voice over talent as anyone.

So what is voice over talent, and who has it? Not everyone. But more people than you might think:

If you enjoy reading aloud to people, or telling stories, you may have voice over talent.
If you want to be heard, but prefer not to be on-camera.
If you're a teacher, you may have it.
If you're an actor, you probably have it (especially if you're a TV or film actor).
If you're a creative salesperson and enjoy the personal selling process, you may have it.
If you're a broadcaster, you may have it (although you might have to practice sounding "natural").
If you were the class clown, you may have it.

If you know the vocabulary and concepts of a technical subject where people need training or education, you may have it.
If you speak at work, give presentations, or record the voice over for your company’s telephone systems, you may have it.
The list is virtually endless. Do you see the common denominator? People who enjoy expressing themselves aloud, people who understand the storytelling, emotion and salesmanship that is often at the core of personal conversation, people who enjoy exploring their own abilities and various ways of doing something, people who are comfortable with a specialized vocabulary ... these people may have an unusually high measure of ability that they might turn into becoming a professional voice talent.

On the other hand, if you hate to read... if you feel there is only one right way to do something... if you think details are unimportant... if you're not a self-starter who can learn to treat your vocal abilities as a business... if you're not interested in developing and focusing your skills and learning your trade... then maybe you shouldn't plan on contacting voice over talent agents or voice over talent agency anytime soon.

If you're interested, then you have little to lose and very much to gain by learning more and getting a professional evaluation.

To help people move forward in life it is fundamental to listen to them, first of all, and then, after gaining their confidence, find out what it is they really want to do, how they want to live, and what it is that they want to concentrate on as a long-term goal, and short-term goals as well.

An ideal coach is someone who is a listener, a supporter, a suggester, an enthuser, is reliable, and very well-aligned him or/herself.

Parliament of Youth Leaders this summer in Naga, CamSur

Delegates are in for one hot summer, as they explore hot issues and discuss hot topics during the 9th Parliament of Youth Leaders (NYP 9), which will be held in Naga city.

“Bicolandia will be the venue of plenty of hot discussions on youth issues. Hindi lang summer destination at adventure tourism venue ang Naga, CamSur -- ito ay isang youth-friendly locality," states Commissioner Gio Tingson, National Organizing Committee Chair for NYP9.

While the rest of the country braves the summer heat, around 200 youth leaders face a different kind of heat as they express their opinions and support their views on policy proposals which could become government programs or policies responding to the various issues encountered by the Filipino youth.

The application form may be downloaded at the NYC website (www.nyc.gov.ph). Following are the qualifications of NYP 9 applicants:
• Filipino citizen, aged 15 - 30 years old as of February 29, 2012
• Residing at the place of representation for at least six (6) months at the time of submission
• Must be a member of an organization
• Of good moral character
• Can contribute to the objectives of NYP 9.

Deadline of application is February 29, 2012.
