The devil’s primary target is your mind
You can be physically fit, but mentally unstable

He can use circumstances to inflict your mind.
He can use sickness to torture your mind.
He can use your struggles in relationship to harass your mind

You could be the most beautiful woman in the room and still feel ugly. You could be the smartest man in the room and still struggles with insecurity.

Like Moses, “What if they don’t believe me?”
You could be saying, “What if I fail?”
“What if no one listens to me?”
“Nobody is going to believe me..”
“I do not have enough money to pay the bills..”
“I won’t survive..”

In your mind, you are so defeated. But the Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

So, when anxiety attacks.. when depression attacks..
and when your mind is being harassed, you need to regulate and recalibrate your mind:

“No weapon formed against me shall prosper”
“Jesus overcame the world”
“God is in control”

TWO MINUTE DAILY SPIRITUAL DEVOTION

"For I was envious of the arrogant as I saw the prosperity of the wicked... My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
(Psalms 73:3,26 NASB)

REFLECTION:
How do I respond when life seems unfair? Who do I focus on -- others, myself, or God?

Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people, and good things to bad people?

Is it really worth following JESUS? Why do I still face problems?

ACTION POINT:
Sometimes, I find myself comparing my circumstances with others. And it may seem unfair seeing the wicked and ungodly prospering and boasting, while I follow JESUS and yet still battle my own problems.

But that's because I fail to see the full picture and quickly jump to conclusions. I only look at things from my own perspective, which is narrow and temporal.

Instead, God wants me to see things from His perspective. He wants me to fix my eyes, not on others, not on myself and my circumstances, but on Him and His eternal plans!

Rather than follow the worldly perspective (secular philosophy), I shall turn to God's Word and align my perspective with His Truth -- that which is long-term and eternal.

And surely, judgment will come to the wicked. "For, behold, those who are far from You will perish; You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to You." (Psalms 73:27)

God is my strength and my portion, and I trust in His eternal plans for me. When life seems unfair, I will FOCUS ON JESUS!

TWO MINUTE DAILY SPIRITUAL DEVOTION

“For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness”
‭‭(Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬-‭5‬, NASB)

REFLECTION:
How has God been building my faith and obedience?

What causes me to be restless and anxious? How can I overcome them?

What are the Isaacs (idols) in my life that God wants me to surrender?

ACTION POINT:
The story of Abraham is a testament to the power of faith in God's promises. Abraham gives us an example of having FAITH IN GOD’S PROMISES NO MATTER WHAT, which can be summarized into 3 key qualities: obedience, rest, and surrender.

Like Abraham, I will practice OBEDIENCE regardless of my circumstances, because True Faith is never alone, it is accompanied by good works and a transformed life. And even if the result of my obedience is uncertain, I can REST in His promises, knowing that He is in control, working all things for my good.

And lastly, just as Abraham was prepared to surrender Isaac’s life, I too shall SURRENDER my doubts, fears, anxieties, idols, and the desire to be in control. And instead I shall trust fully in God’s faithfulness, hold onto His promises, and acknowledge that He is the ultimate authority.

God strengthens my faith through the testing of trials, that I may emerge with greater endurance and trust in His faithfulness. So no matter what I may be going through, I will cultivate a faith that is obedient, find rest in His sovereignty, and surrender my desires and control to Him.

Like Abraham, I will have FAITH IN GOD’S PROMISES NO MATTER WHAT!
