DAVAO CITY—Certain sexual problems may point to an underlying medical condition that should be treated early by disclosing them to a physician, a urologist at the Southern Philippines Medical Center said.

A Philippine Information Agency dispatch on Monday said a urologist has “advised the public particularly men not to be shy when they experience sexual problems as this could be symptoms of underlying health conditions.”

The Department of Health (DOH) averted a possible ammonia crisis in Navotas on June 19, 2023 after a fire broke out at the Icypoint Storage in Barangay NBBN (North Bay Boulevard North) at 11:30 p.m. The incident caused ammonia to leak into the air.

“It is part of our eight-point action agenda to always be ready during a crisis. I wish to thank our healthcare system partners—local government unit EMS [Emergency Medical Services], the hospitals, our Bureau of Fire Protection [BFP], and all who worked together to avert what could have been a disaster,” said Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa.

A renovated Canlalay Barangay Health Station in the City of Biñan, Laguna was turned over last June 15, 2023 by SM Foundation’s Health & Medical Programs Executive Director Connie Angeles.

The health center, damaged by Typhoon Paeng in 2022, services the health needs of the seven districts /zones of Canlalay with a total population of 20,925. With the repair and rehabilitation, the health center is now more conducive and functional to dispense its services.

Eighty-one-year-old Julia Bonaobra-Yap had planned to enjoy a relaxing day at the spa. However, her day took a sudden turn for the worse when she experienced a severe allergy attack that caused her breathing difficulties. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Philippines recently commended the House of Representatives Committee on Youth and Sports Development for recently approving a bill that addresses adolescent pregnancy in the country.
