BIGBANG was a group that got lost in their popularity at their peak, made several mistakes, and has been romanticized and nostalgic since their downfall. They're nothing more than that. TVXQ and BTS are connected to the concert culture where fans come to see artist performances, while BIGBANG is more associated with the decadent club culture. Unless you're a BLACKPINK fan, there's no particular reason for other fanbases to be thankful to BIGBANG.

The reason idols today can sign reasonable contracts, work for 7 years, receive fair settlements, and move to other companies, and why many idols aim at the Japanese market for money, is all thanks to TVXQ, who paved the way for all of this. The reason music videos can reach 100 million views and overseas fans comment, and why it's possible to break into the Billboard charts, is all because BTS paved the way for all of this. Without BTS, K-pop entertainment companies would still be stuck targeting just the domestic market.

The fact that 4th generation idols, who haven't even debuted for long, are enjoying excessive popularity and making lots of money is all thanks to BTS. But BIGBANG didn’t really do anything in between TVXQ and BTS. Yes, I know GD worked hard with the BIGBANG members, but so what?!!!!!!!

BTS member J-Hope donated 100 million won or around $68,000 to help the families of the victims that died during the tragic Jeju Air plane crash.

As reported by AllKPop, J-Hope donated â‚é100 million to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. In a statement, the South Korean idol said he wanted to help those who are grieving this devastating loss.
