๐™๐™ค๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™˜: THE SUPPLANTING OF YOUR HUMAN LIFE
Saturday, 8th February 2025

๐Ÿ“– And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son
โ€”1 John 5:11

One of the fundamental truths that must shape your perception of who you are in Christ and what actually transpired when you were born again is the fact that the human life with which you were born by your biological parents has been supplanted by the life of God. That human life, which was marked by sin and frailty, fraught with darkness and limitations, is supplanted by the divine essence of Christ Himself. This is one of the greatest revelations of Christianity.

Think about the fact that the divine nature of God has been transferred into a human being! This divine life is referred to as eternal life. John 3:16 (NIV), says, โ€œFor God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.โ€

Thatโ€™s the life you have now that Christ lives in you: โ€œAnd this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life (1 John 5:11-12 ESV).

Itโ€™s this divine nature that sets Christianity apart from the religions of the world. 2 Peter 1:4 says weโ€™re partakers of the divine nature; associates of the God-kind. This is the heart of the Gospel: the exchange of your frail human life for the glorious, indestructible life of God. Hallelujah!

๐Ÿ™ ๐™‹๐™๐˜ผ๐™”๐™€๐™ ๐Ÿ™

Dear Father, I thank you for the life of Christ in me; sickness, diseases and infirmities canโ€™t thrive in my body because I have eternal life. The divine life in me has gained ascendancy over my spirit, soul and body, and I walk in absolute dominion over Satan and the elements of this world, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

๐Ÿ“– No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him
โ€”John 1:18

What we just read provides one of the most extraordinary expressions of the Son of God. It emphasizes that no one has seen God face to face, which is a significant point. Then it refers to Jesus as the โ€œonly begotten Son.โ€ The Greek term used for begotten is โ€œMonogenes,โ€ which means the one and only or one of a kind, unique, with no other like Him. Jesus is described here as the only born Son of the Father.

But then we see something extraordinary about His mission, what He was born to do, in our theme verse: He came to make the Father known: โ€œNo man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.โ€ The word declared is from the Greek โ€œexegeomaiโ€ which means that Jesus, Godโ€™s born-Son, came to rehearse God to men. He came to show us what God is like in human form. He came to declare and act out the nature of God.

Now, think about this: the life that He had is what Heโ€™s given you (1 John 5:11-12). And the Bible says as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). So, today, Heโ€™s called the โ€œ...first begotten of the dead...โ€ (Revelation 1:5). This is because He heads up a new species, a new class of โ€œMonogenesโ€โ€”people who have now been born of God as a result of the resurrection of Jesus Christโ€”by virtue of the New Birth (1 Peter 1:3).

Recall what the Bible says in 1 John 3:1, โ€œBehold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of Godโ€ฆ.โ€ Weโ€™re born-sons of God: โ€œBut as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Godโ€ (John 1:12-13). James 1:18 says, โ€œOf his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.โ€ Weโ€™re the first and the best; the one and only or one of a kind; unique. (Also read 1 Peter 2:9 AMPC). Hallelujah!

Tuesday, 4th February 2025

๐Ÿ“– To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins
โ€”Luke 1:77

In Luke 1:76-77, we see a powerful revelation about salvation. It says, โ€œAnd thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins.โ€ The first thing about salvation is remission or the removal of sin. This is so important because without this understanding, many live a life that doesnโ€™t reflect the true change salvation brings.

In Acts 3:25-26, the Apostle Peter addressed the Jewish congregation, reminding them of God's promise to their ancestors. He declared that they were the children of the prophets and of the covenant made with their forefathers. Peter explained, "Unto you first God, having raised up His Son Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities" (Acts 3:26).

This verse reveals another crucial aspect of salvation: the blessing to be turned away from sin. God blessed us by sending Jesus to turn us away from our iniquities. You couldnโ€™t do it by yourself. You might have struggled with sin, but when you received salvation, you received power over sin.

In Luke 24:46-47, Jesus made it clear that repentance and the remission of sins should be preached in His Name among all nations, starting from Jerusalem: โ€œ...Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.โ€ Now you can understand why Paul cried out in Acts 13:38-39, โ€œBe it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.โ€

This is a truth that many people need to understand. Sin is no longer a factor; its power to lord it over you has been removed. In Christ, youโ€™ve been made sin-free. It helps you further understand why the Bible says in Romans 6:14, โ€œFor sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.โ€ Hallelujah!

๐Ÿ™ ๐™‹๐™๐˜ผ๐™”๐™€๐™ ๐Ÿ™

Dear Father, I walk in the liberty of your grace, knowing that sin has no dominion over me. Through the sacrifice of Jesus, I have been made righteous, justified, and sanctified. I live in the consciousness of this victory, free from guilt, walking in the fullness of the blessings of salvation, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

๐™๐™ค๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™˜: THE INFLUENCE OF HIS KINGDOM
Saturday, 1st February 2025

๐Ÿ“– Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence
โ€”John 18:36

One of the charges for which Jesus was condemned was that He declared Himself to be a king. When Pilate asked Him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" Jesus replied, "โ€ฆMy kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from henceโ€ (John 18:36).

Pilate, intrigued by Jesusโ€™ response, sought further clarification regarding His kingship. He asked again, โ€œAre you a king then?โ€ Jesus elaborated, saying, โ€œโ€ฆTo this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voiceโ€ (John 18:37).

The Lord Jesus stating that He was a king meant He was the ruler of a kingdom. But where was His kingdom? He clarified that His kingdom was not of this world, meaning it was foreign to this earthly realm. The rulers of the time couldnโ€™t understand His kingdom because they couldnโ€™t see it; they were perplexed by it.

The next important point is that Jesus had a mission to extend the influence and power of His heavenly kingdom to this world. He came to bring the blessings, the goodness, and the power of His kingdom to a world full of pain, darkness and struggles. This world, filled with destruction and suffering, needed change, and Jesus came with His kingdom to effect that change. Hallelujah!

Through salvation, He extended the goodness of His kingdom to humanity. Now that youโ€™re born again, youโ€™ve become a citizen of Christโ€™s glorious Kingdom: โ€œGiving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Sonโ€ (Colossians 1:12-13).

Therefore, walk in the consciousness of the full blessings of the Kingdom, and spread the influence of His reign everywhere. You represent the Kingdom; you carry it everywhere you go, for it is within you: Luke 17:21, โ€œNeither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.โ€ Youโ€™re the extension of His Kingdom and its influence, for the Bible says, โ€œ...he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his handโ€ (Isaiah 53:10).

๐Ÿ“– And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...
โ€”Hebrews 11:1

In Luke 8:22-25, the Lord Jesus and His disciples set sail across the lake when a violent storm arose, causing the boat to be filled with water. The disciples, filled with fear, woke Jesus, saying, "Master, Master, we perish!" Jesus then arose, rebuked the wind and the raging waters, and the storm immediately ceased, resulting in a great calm. It was a marvellous display of divine authority.

Then the Bible says, "...And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him" (Luke 8:25). Now, hereโ€™s whatโ€™s important: after rebuking the wind and the waves, Jesus turned to His disciples and asked, โ€œWhere is your faith?โ€ That statement speaks volumes. Heโ€™s saying, โ€œYou could have done it yourselves.โ€

By asking, โ€œWhere is your faith?โ€ the Lord Jesus revealed that what they needed all along was their faith. He demonstrated that with faith, even the forces of nature are subject to us. He expected His disciples to know that their faith could have handled the situation.

Hebrews 11:33-34 tells us what our forebears did through faith. They subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

We can do the same and even more in our day because we have the same spirit of faith (2 Corinthians 4:13). Our faith is real, it is substance, it has power, and the beautiful thing is that every Christian has faith. We all have the same measure of faith (Romans 12:3), and with your faith, you can do anything. You can change anything. The forces of nature, hell and of this world are subject to you.

Activate your faith even now and speak to the storm, and thereโ€™ll be a great calm. Speak to your body, your blood, your bones, your heart and kidneys. Speak to your job, your finances, and your business. Speak and declare perfection in your health, your home and family.

Tuesday, 28th January 2025

๐Ÿ“– And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...
โ€”Romans 12:2

When your reasoning is framed by God's Word, you canโ€™t think limitations, defeat, weakness or failure. Godโ€™s Word gives you a championโ€™s mentality; you just know that come what may, youโ€™re always in victory. It brings to mind the story of Joshua and Caleb, two of the twelve spies sent by Moses to scout the land of Canaan, the land God had promised to the Israelites. While ten spies doubted and came back with a negative report, Caleb and Joshua had a different report.

Calebโ€™s faith and courage stood out, and God promised that he and Joshua would live to enter the land and that Caleb would inherit the land he had explored. Years later, at 85, Caleb reminded Joshua of God's promise and boldly declared, โ€œNow therefore give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day... (Joshua 14:12 NKJV). Caleb could have said, โ€œYou know, Iโ€™m 85 now, old and stricken with years. There're lots of giants in Hebron. Can we get some other land? Is there an alternative?โ€ But no; despite his age, Caleb was determined to claim Hebron. What a mindset!

Some people, even in their 50s, start to believe they are too old to accomplish certain things, simply because in todayโ€™s world that has become a popular belief. Theyโ€™ve become more acquainted with the ways of the world than with the Word of God. Caleb didnโ€™t care how great or fenced the cities were or how formidable the Anakim giants seemed. He knew that with God, victory was inevitable. All that was important to Caleb was the Lord with Him!

This same mentality should drive you today. You need to have the right mindset. God is calling you to think differentlyโ€”to think as He would have you think. This is very important because the Lord has sent us in our day. Heโ€™s in us and always with us. You can do something about your family, business, work, finances, city, state and nation, knowing that victory is already yours in Christ Jesus.

Youโ€™re not at the mercy of anyone. None of the powers of this world can dominate you. Youโ€™re the seed of Abraham; youโ€™re an heir of God and joint-heir with Christ. Youโ€™re a God-man, a partaker of the divine nature. Have the right mentality about yourself; frame and construct it through the Word. Praise God!

๐™๐™ค๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™˜: HE WAS OUR RANSOM
Saturday, 25th January 2025

๐Ÿ“– When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses
โ€”Matthew 8:16-17

Matthew, in his own writing, lets us know in the verses above that Jesus came to fulfil what Isaiah had prophesied: the removal of our sins. He gave His life as a ransom for many: โ€œAnd whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for manyโ€ (Matthew 20:27-28). A ransom is the consideration or what is demanded to be paid for the release of a captive.

The whole world was captive to the devil, captive to sin and therefore condemned to die because of sin. We were legal captives of the devil until Jesus paid for us to be free from sins, free from Satanโ€™s dominion, and from spiritual death. We were in the bo***ge of spiritual death and separated from God, having no hope and without God in the world. But all that changed when Jesus gave His life for your life. He was the price paid for your freedom.

The Bible says, โ€œFor Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to Godโ€ฆโ€ (1 Peter 3:18). That is substitution. He gave Himself that you may be free to serve God and live for Him. He was sinless, holy and righteous; and now youโ€™re like Him; holy, righteous and sin-free. Colossians 1:21-22 says, โ€œAnd you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.โ€ This is amazing.

Now you see why we so rejoice as Christians and are forever full of praise and joy. Itโ€™s because of this message of substitution; Jesus was our ransom! He took your place of sin so that you may take His place of righteousness. He took your place of poverty, suffering and shame so that you may have His life of glory, power, dominion and abundance. Blessed be God! So now what? Take your place in Christ! Live the life Heโ€™s given youโ€”the life of glory and excellence. Hallelujah!

๐Ÿ“– But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification
โ€”Romans 4:24-25

In our previous study, we learnt that weโ€™re the proof of Godโ€™s fairness and impartiality. Thatโ€™s what it means to be the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Now the latter part of our opening scripture reveals something extraordinary; itโ€™s one of the most mind-blowing verses of the Bible. It says Jesus Christ was delivered for our offences and raised back to life, not for our forgiveness, but for our justification.

This staggers the understanding of the human mind; itโ€™s purely beyond belief. He was delivered to death for our offences and raised for our justification so that He (God) might be just and the justifier of the one who believes in Jesus Christ. How could an offender suddenly become justified?

The Greek word for justification is โ€œDikaiosisโ€ and it means acquittal, a legal or formal declaration of innocence. It means God looked at you and said, โ€œYouโ€™re innocent; youโ€™re not guilty of any sin.โ€ He should have said youโ€™ve been forgiven of all sins, but He said, โ€œYouโ€™re innocent.โ€ Now it should have been that you paid in Christ and are not a debtor anymore; you should have been described as a free man who has been forgiven. But thatโ€™s not what we have here. God is saying you have been acquitted; the records were checked and it wasnโ€™t found where you sinned; therefore, you were formally declared innocent, not guilty. Heโ€™s saying you never sinned; how could that happen?

Thatโ€™s what makes it Gospelโ€”Good News. Some people hear it and donโ€™t understand it. How is it that I never sinned? Itโ€™s the result of Christโ€™s redemptive work. Romans 5:1 says, โ€œTherefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.โ€ Weโ€™ve been declared righteous by faith; do you know why? Because youโ€™re born again, youโ€™re a new creature. The Bible says, โ€œTherefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become newโ€ (2 Corinthians 5:17). The new creation never sinned because heโ€™s a brand-new species that never existed before. Blessed be God!

It's different from us being made righteous; the Greek word there is โ€œDikaiosuneโ€ and it means equity, the quality of fairness or impartiality.

What this means is that weโ€™re Godโ€™s proof of His fairness and impartiality. Weโ€™re the manifestation of His equity. This is so wonderful! Recall what the Bible says in Ephesians 3:10, โ€œTo the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.โ€ It means that God points to us as evidence to all principalities and powers to judge that He is fair; He shows off with us as trophies of His goodness. Hallelujah!

Romans 3:26 says, โ€œโ€ฆTo declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.โ€ What this means is that through the redemption thatโ€™s in Christ Jesus, God has proven Himself just, in justifying the sinner. Jesus Christ was delivered to death for our offenses, and raised back to life for our justification.

When you study Romans 3:21-26, youโ€™d understand this better. That portion says, โ€œBut now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.โ€

Think about that! God proves Himself to be just, while He justifies the sinner. How can He justify the sinner? Why are we His righteousness? Why are we His proof of His equity? Weโ€™ll learn more in our next study.

Iโ€™m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, a living proof of Godโ€™s fairness, justice and goodness. Thank you Father, for making me the expression of your wisdom to the glory of your Name; I walk in this understanding, showing forth your righteousness and manifesting your equity to the world, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Sunday, 19th January 2025

๐Ÿ“– Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us
โ€”Romans 8:35-37

He didn't ask you to carry your burdens or be anxious about them. Rather, He says, โ€œBe anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to Godโ€ (Philippians 4:6 NKJV). Itโ€™s easy to think, "I wonโ€™t worry about the little things, but thereโ€™re some serious issues I must be anxious about." No! The Word says to refuse anxiety about anything.

When the situation seems most serious, thatโ€™s when you should laugh. Troubles may come, but they donโ€™t have to trouble you. Your responsibility is to live in the Word. Meditate on it day and night as the Scripture enjoins (Joshua 1:8). The Word of God builds your spirit and gives you purpose, direction, encouragement and enlightenment. It strengthens your spirit and shapes your personality to one of confidence, peace and joy in the midst of adversities. Glory to God!

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that builds me up and strengthens my spirit. I refuse to be anxious about anything because in Christ I have victory over adversities, and I triumph always. Your peace garrisons my heart and mind, and I rejoice evermore, for the joy of the Lord is my strength. Hallelujah!

๐Ÿ“– Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation
โ€”Isaiah 12:3

Years ago, I made a decision to always be grateful to the Lord and live happily every day. I discovered from the Word of God that no one was sent to make me happy. Jesus already accomplished everything necessary for my joy. The Bible says He gave us โ€œJoy unspeakable and full of gloryโ€ (1 Peter 1:8). That joy is in our spirits.

When you received salvation, it came with this joy, and Isaiah 12:3 tells us โ€œ...with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.โ€ Joy comes from your spirit, and happiness is one of its fruits. If youโ€™re joyful in your spirit, happiness naturally follows. Happiness is a state of mind, but joy produces so much more. The fruits of joy include laughter, celebration and dancing. Even giving is one of the fruits of joy.

Joyful people give freely. Have you observed that when someone asks you for something at a moment when youโ€™re full of joy, itโ€™s almost always a "yes?" You can hardly say no because giving flows naturally from joy. And guess what? When youโ€™re full of joy in the presence of the Lord, He grants the desires of your heart as the Bible says, โ€œDelight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heartโ€ (Psalm 37:4).

Your joy releases blessings. When your heart is filled with joy and delight for the things of God, your desires are fulfilled. Itโ€™s one of the reasons your personal praise and worship to the Lord is so important. Those are moments of spiritual ecstasy, where your heart is knit with the Spirit in joyful effusions of gratitude, in celebration of His great glory, goodness and awesome majesty.

So, learn to rejoice evermore in the spirit, in the presence of God. When you truly worship and express your joy before Him, it brings unimaginable blessings and unlocks in and around you a divine atmosphere for the miraculous.

Dear Father, I rejoice, knowing that as I delight in you, every desire of my heart is granted. I am full of joy, serving you in Spirit and in truth, basking in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel, walking in prosperity, health and victory, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
