DSWD SLP COORDINATION MEETING ON PROGRAM TARGETING FOR THE CY 2024 IMPLEMENTATION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MADRID

During the meeting with SLP Project Development Officer II, Danica B. Del Rosario, SLP Provincial Coordinator, Arjay Peñaroyo, SLP PMEO, Lovely L. Libres, CBO, Vicente L. Gausin Jr. and LPDO, Melchore L. Mollaneda Jr, we have discussed that the specific utilization of the funding should depend on the objective and design of the livelihood program as well as the needs of every Madridanon. The funding provided by DSWD will help serve and promote sustainable economic activities that can improve the well being of our community.

On behalf of LGU Madrid, I would like to extend my gratitude to DSWD Secretary REX Gatchalian and ASEC Ulysses Aguilar for the new funding worth PHP 1,800,000.00 granted to Madrid, Surigao del Sur from the DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program. Under Proclamation No. 368, President Marcos declared the following regular holidays:

Jan. 1 – New Year’s Day
March 28 – Maundy Thursday
March 29 – Good Friday
April 9 – Araw ng Kagitingan
May 1 – Labor Day
June 12 – Independence Day
Aug. 26 – National Heroes Day (Last Monday of August)
Nov. 30 – Bonifacio Day
Dec. 25 – Christmas Day
Dec. 30 – Rizal Day

On the other hand, the following were declared as special (non-working) days:

Aug. 21 – Ninoy Aquino Day
