Saint Anthony's Academy Journalists Advance to Division Secondary Press Conference

Students from Saint Anthony's Academy have earned spots in the Division Secondary Press Conference (DSPC) following their success at the District-Based Press Conference held at Llorente National High School yesterday, March 15, 2024. Judges included Master Teacher I and School Paper Adviser from Pedro E. Candido Memorial National High School (PECMNHS), Sir Eladio E. Rivera Jr., Master Teacher II and Division Trainer for Collaborative Desktop and Editorial Cartooning, Sir Joshua Malonie O. Daguinod, and ESSU-Main Campus Junior Columnist, Ms. Phoebe Joy M. Amos.

In English Columns, Cristine Enage placed 2nd, while Julius Bormate got 3rd in Filipino. Jordyn Fel Escoto and Relaiza Conopio took 2nd in English and Filipino Feature Writing respectively. Santhé Therese Macariola secured 2nd in Filipino News. Kim Alexa Lacanaria earned 2nd in English Copyreading, and Julianne Mae Asadon got 3rd in Filipino Copyreading. Angel Bonga got 3rd in the Filipino Editorial category. Sheen Paraguya and Rocelita Bianes both got 3rd in Editorial Cartooning for English and Filipino.

Their success secures their participation in the DSPC at Oras District from April 11th to 13th, 2024.

Saint Anthony's Academy recently finished its yearly outreach program, where kids, SSG officers, and teachers came together for fun and learning. This special time aimed to help everyone learn new things and feel happy.

Big thanks go to the kind sponsors who made all this possible. Because of them, kids had fun, officers felt strong, and teachers could teach better. Even though the program ended, its good feelings and lessons stay with us, showing how much we can do when we help each other in our community.
