A movie about family, hope, social justice, redemption and all in between.

Ilang beses kong pinigil ang sarili ko para hindi umiyak pero hindi talaga kinaya.

Ang gagaling din ng mga nagsiganap. Deserving na makuha ang Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor at Best Child Actor.

One of the best Filipino films I have watched. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Truly the Best Picture in this year's MMFF.

Kagaya mo, malayo na ang narating ng sardinas.

Dati, simbolo ito ng pagtitipid: pagkain ng mga taong gutom pero punong-puno ng pangarap sa buhay.

Iginigisa at sinasabawan ng marami para mapagkasya at makakain ang lahat ng miyembro ng pamilya. Puwede ring dagdagan ng dahon ng sili na hiningi sa bakuran ng kapitbahay para mas dumami lalo ang kayang pakainin ng isang lata.

Pero ngayon, dahil sa pagsisikap mo at sa biyaya ng Diyos, nakalaya ka na sa "lata" katulad ng mga sardinas. Hindi ka na nakikipagsiksikan sa madilim na lugar. You are now making a difference in the world.

Kaya ang sardinas, simbolo na ng pag-unlad at pag-usad. Sagisag ng 'yong bawat sakripisyo at pagsisikap.

Ipagpatuloy ang pangarap. Laging may awa ang Diyos. Tandaan: in God, no pain is ever wasted.

Sa huli, huwag pa ring kakalimutang kumain ng sardinas kahit malayo na ang narating mo. Dahil sa bawat pagbubukas mo nito, patuloy itong sumasalamin sa ating mga kwento.
