EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 001
Series of 2023

SUSPENSION OF CLASSES AT ALL LEVELS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF
LILOY, ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE

WHEREAS, it is a declared policy of the State to uphold the people’s constitutional rights to life, health, safety, and property and to promote the general welfare of its people at all times, especially during disasters and calamities;

WHEREAS, the PAGASA has broadcasted the occurrence of the heavy rainfall brought about by the Low-Pressure Area which will affect the Province of Zamboanga del Norte, among other affected places and/or areas in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), and thereby caused the advisory to take precautionary measures;

WHEREAS, as one of the affected areas due to the widespread rainfall brought about by Low-Pressure Area (LPA) as stated on the Advisory No. 20, and considering the area’s vulnerability to flood when heavy rain occurs, precautionary measures are indeed imperative;

WHEREAS, the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, through the Office of the LDRRMO, recommends suspension of classes at all levels within the territorial jurisdiction of the Municipality of Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte to prevent hostile incidents that may occur due to continuous and alarming rainfall that already caused floods in some areas;

NOW THEREFORE, I, JOHN MOMAR T. INSONG, Municipal Vice Mayor and the Acting Municipal Mayor of Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Section 1. Immediate Suspension of Classes at all levels. Classes in all levels both in private and public schools are hereby suspended effective at 3:00 o’clock this afternoon on this 11th day of January, 2023.

Section 2. Effectivity. The order is issued to purposely suspend classes effective immediately on the time and date stated thereat.
