OUT OF TIME!

"But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2.

The question is often asked me, How much time do we have left? Where do we now stand in the prophetic picture of Revelation 13? My answer has always been, We are out of time.

The complete fulfillment of Revelation chapter 13 is now before the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The first beast is the papacy. The pope has been identified as the antichrist of Bible prophecy by our church pioneers as well as by Luther, Zwingli, Huss and Jerome, John Knox, the Wesleys and many more.

As we see the near complete healing of the deadly wound of Revelation 13:1-3, the second beast (which we have identified as the United States of America) now stands as the only super power in the world. The United States now has the ability to enforce the image to the first beast - the papacy.

Probation's hour is fast closing the signs and events that are taking place in our world indicate that the confederate powers of evil are now in place to make the Sunday laws. The enforcement by law and Satan's impersonation of Christ will come suddenly, unexpectedly.

God's holy Seventh-day Sabbath will become the focal point in all Christendom. Every Seventh-day Adventist will be tested on true Sabbathkeeping according to Isaiah 58:13-14.

"Trial and persecution will come to all who, in obedience to the Word of God, refuse to worship this false sabbath. Force is the last resort of every false religion. At first it tries attraction, as the king of Babylon tried the power of music and outward show. If these attractions, invented by men inspired by Satan, failed to make men worship the image, the hungry flames of the furnace were ready to consume them. So it will be now. The papacy has exercised her power to compel men to obey her, and she will continue to do so. We need the same spirit that was manifested by God's servants in the conflict with paganism." (The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, vol. 7, 976. See also The Great Controversy, 615).

Dear brethren and sisters, friends, we are warned that only a very small remnant will survive God's final shaking, sifting, and purging.

"Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as S***m, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah." Isaiah 1:9.

"For many are called, but few are chosen." Matthew 22:14.

"Now is the time for God's people to show themselves true to principle. When the religion of Christ is most held in contempt, when His law is most despised, then should our zeal be the warmest and our courage and firmness the most unflinching. To stand in defense of truth and righteousness when the majority forsake us, to fight the battles of the Lord when champions are few -- this will be our test." (Testimonies, vol. 5, 136.
