100 years ago in Paris. Pinoy Solo Olympian.

David Nepomuceno, born on May 9, 1900, in Oas, Albay, was the first Filipino Olympian. He made his Olympic debut at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, competing in the 100 meters and 200 meters sprints. Though he did not win any medals, his participation marked the start of the Philippines' presence in the Olympics.

Nepomuceno later achieved success at the 1927 Far Eastern Games, where he won several medals. He also served with the Philippine Scouts in the United States Navy and died on duty in 1939. His Olympic debut paved the way for future Filipino athletes on the international stage.

This is a Tree that got hit by lightning and it exposed it's Vascular System. Nature is so complex.
A Tree’s Vascular System carries water and minerals from the roots up to the leaves, and photosynthesized food back down to the rest of the tree.
Interesting fact: Trees have no Muscles (or Nervous System) so all of this movement is powered by turgor pressure, which is controlled by stomata in the leaves that open and close as needed.
