They are my delicate offspring with soft, fragile shells. Not many of them survive, but we are essential to the ecosystem and have an ancient history.

Hindi ko talaga kayang tiisin ang mga lolo at lola. 🥲🥲🥲
Kanina nasa Mcdo ako... May mag-asawang matanda na nasa isang sulok ng food chain, one meter apart. May hamburger, fries at softdrinks na nasa mesa nila.

Nakita kong hinati ni lolo ang burger at ibinigay kay lola, binilang ang fries at hinati at ibinigay rin kay lola.

Pagkatapos ay kumain na si lolo at tahimik lang na uminom ng softdrinks si lola...

Nakaramdam ako nang awa at akmang lalapitan ko na sila upang alukin na bilhan pa sila ng isang order nang may makita akong isang lalaki. Customer din marahil at nakita ang sitwasyon ng mag-asawa.

Siguro, naisip ko, nakaramdam din ng awa ang customer. Sabi ng customer, "gusto niyo po, ibili ko kayo ng isa pang order? Para di na kayo maghati?"

Sumagot ang lola, "ano kamo?" May kahinaan din yata ang pandinig dahil medyo malakas ang boses. Lalo akong nakaramdam ng awa...

Inulit ng customer ang sinabi...
Sagot ni lola, "Huwag na, apo.. ganito talaga kami... at sanay na kaming pinagsasaluhan ang lahat ng bagay."

“Kayo po ang bahala..." sabi ng customer at umalis na.

Pero ako, patuloy ko silang pinagmamasdan... At nagtataka ako kung bakit si lolo lang ang kumakain at hindi si lola. Nakatingin lang ito kay lolo habang umiinom lang ng drinks.

Hindi ako nakatiis at lumapit ako sa kanila... Sabi ko, "Lola bakit di pa po kayo kumakain?" Sagot ni lola sa akin, "Yong PUSTISO, hinihintay ko siyang matapos..." 😂😂😂
