Who better to protect and conserve the sea than the fisher whose life is tied to it? Without empowered people, the natural heritage and cultural property will continue to be slowly lost. If there is uncertainty as to the importance of Mabuhay Pilipinas (MP) and other multi-stakeholder organizations, that should be put to rest by the challenge posed by global coronavirus COVID 19 pandemic to community, local, national, and global health, economic well-being, stability, and cohesion. Mabuhay Pilipinas, acting on its own and in collaboration with government, business community and media practitioners, is facing an extraordinary task of reducing the impact on economies, societies and building better new normal life.
