In accordance to Republic Act No. 9492, today, August 25, 2025, is declared as National Heroesโ€™ Day. It is a day of reflection and commemoration for the unwavering love, dedication, and sacrifices that our heroes have rendered in service of the nation and its people.

This National Heroesโ€™ Day, we are all called to remember that heroism is not confined to the past. It is not measured in its grandeur or magnanimity alone. Rather, it endures in the present, living on in every individual who dares to dream, who stands against injustice, and who serves others with compassion and empathy.

As we honor the legacy our heroes have left behind, may we be called to remember that heroism lies within us. May this day serve as a reminder to live with integrity, righteousness, and an enduring love for our country and our fellow Filipinos.

The DWCL-SHS Acquaintance Party made its long-awaited comeback on August 20, 2025 with the theme โ€œSunset Symphony: Where Sparks Beginโ€ at the St. Joseph Freinademetz Memorial Gymnasium.

Booths were set up to engage students during the event, including the โ€œSymphony of Fortuneโ€ tarot booth, the โ€œGolden Sunset Cellโ€ jail booth, and the โ€œStrings of Harmonyโ€ bracelet-making booth. Each booth featured different activities that gave attendees unique experiences and opportunities to connect with their peers.

The event also featured live performances and games, allowing students to socialize and celebrate the start of the school year. The Acquaintance Party strengthened camaraderie, built new connections, and provided students a lively and memorable kickoff at DWCL.
