Laging may dapat pang abutin.

| A new beginning

Fireworks illuminate a colorful light,
Bringing wonders in the dark, gloomy sky.
Sounds of happy shouts as they welcome a new year.
A new year of happiness and opportunities.

As I glance at my sufferings once more,
I remembered how I almost quit out the door.
The tears and overwhelming agony of my existence,
I was hanging by a thread with my pinky finger.

Academic pressure looms overnight.
Disappointments, I grieve in my cage.
Scores an eyesore, I can't bath an eye.
I feel like dying, I can't deny.

Can't the future just wait?
'Cause time passes by so fast.
I can't ignore, I can't escape,
Why does everything feel so unfair?

In this life, I hope I'll survive,
All the obstacles threw in my line.
May all my suffering come to an end,
With no more tears left to shed.

Ending the cycle of tears and pain,
Tapping myself 'cause I did great.
Cheers for a new year of peace and love,
A new beginning with all His blessings.

Cagayan State Universityβ€”Lasam Campus holds a unique distinction: it's the smallest of CSU's nine satellite campuses. Nestled in the heart of Lasam, Cagayan, its compact size belies the extraordinary achievements blossoming within. Like a resilient tree, deeply rooted in its community, CSU-Lasam bears an abundance of fruitβ€”a testament to its dedication, innovation, and remarkable talent it cultivates.

On December 18, 2024, the Cagayan State University- Lasam Alumni Association (CSULAA) had its annual Dayaw ti CSU-Lasam Ceremony and Dinner for a Cause at the Darp Hall. Fueled by one goal, the Association further strengthened its trunk by gathering the fruits it has produced since the campus' conception. As part of its flourishing mission, CSULAA hailed Inspiring Youth Alumni, Distinguished Alumni, and Dayaw ti Alumni 2024 awards for the exceptional graduates of CSU-Lasam.

Let me give you a glimpse of the vibrant activities during the celebration:

In comparison to the fruits of those giant trees, CSU-Lasam's flowers blossom into radiant orchards. These promising buds have grown into towering giants, defying their size to reach extraordinary heights and bloom with vibrant success. Behind the blatant fruits yielded such as the national awards and achievements, lies the sweetest fruit that the tree produces; its Alumniβ€” who consistently radiate with beaming colors in their fields, bringing honor to their alma mater. These golden fruits brought the sweetest taste of success to the institution, proving that even the smallest tree can bear high-class produce.

Beneath the vibrant blossoms and sweet fruits are the branches that nurtured themβ€” from their budding phase to their pinnacle. These branches have held and shielded them from countless storms that tried to detach them from the tree. This roster of facultyβ€”these branchesβ€” represent uniqueness, each branch has a distinct form and contribution, supplying essential elements to the flourishing tree. Some branches reach for the sun, absorbing knowledge while others delve deep into the earth, grounding the institution with tradition and stability.

As the fruits, the Alumni beam with great success as they manifest their tree. They stand tall and they proudly carry the name of their alma mater. Minds ahead but their hearts always look back to the institution they once called home. Despite the heights they have reached and the goals they have accomplished, these flourishing trees never forget to share their glorious success with CSU-Lasam, consistently nourishing their roots with their expertise and contributions. These thriving trees provide substantial support, ensuring the cycle of growth continues β€”from the flowers and fruits down to the roots.
