FOR ISAAC ☝🏼🕊️

That was YAIS basketball team's battle cry when it squared off against SMI in the LPSAA U18 basketball tournament on Saturday morning.

This after Isaac Munsayac, a member of the said squad, joined the Creator on Friday after a two-week battle against an undisclosed illness.

Though they ultimately fell short, the green-and-gold Achievers staged an inspired uprising against the perennial contenders that had the trappings of a classic.

It is hoped that such display of resilience in the face of adversity will reach Isaac in heaven and make him proud.

WHO KNEW A FINAL EXAM COULD BE THIS FUN⁉️😱

The Grade 12 students embarked on a tour in the National Museum of the Philippines on Dec. 10, which served as a major requirement for Contemporary Philippine Arts.

Ms. Nash Frances Cadiz and Mrs. Maria Paz Hernandez accompanied the said students the entire trip.

In just a single day, they covered all three museums within the complex: the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Museum of Anthropology.

Despite the lengthy tour, joy was palpable among the students. This is definitely a memorable experience for them in their final year of high school. 🏛️💖

A FIRST FOR OUR HERALD TEAM 💚🤍

The Herald held its first General Assembly on November 22, with editor-in-chief Raphael Vallarta and managing editor Ava Alanes leading the simple gathering.

The aforementioned outlined The Herald's plans for the school year, including delegation of tasks and handing out of press IDs, among others.

The Herald aims to publish its first magazine since the COVID-19 disrupted life as we know it.

Sharmaine Dabac and Rhian Jewel Borja proudly showed their skills in the Association of Las Piñas Private Schools (ALPPC) Badminton Tournament held last November 29.

Though dedicated to badminton, the two continue to do well in their studies, proving that YAIS students can shine in both academics and sports 👏💪

Pilipinas Kong Mahal 🇵🇭

The Grade 12 students put up an exhibit showcasing information such as history, literature, culture, and tourist spots of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao for their finals exam in 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World.

Some highlights of the exhibit included a tent, windmill, and dance performance by the Luzon group, a tattoo corner, and infoboards by the Visayas group, and another tattoo corner and a mini screen by the Mindanao group.

The students and teachers definitely enjoyed exploring each booth. 🫶🏻
