After copping two gold medals in the Paris Olympics, Carlos Yulo is expected to receive millions in cash, among other things.
Under Republic Act 10699, otherwise known as National Athletes and Coaches Benefits, Olympic gold medalists like Yulo stand to gain P10 million.
He won two gold mints in the floor exercise and vault, respectively. That's P20 million for the 24-year-old gymnast. Apart from that, pledges from other companies were aplenty.
Yulo literally flipped his life with his recent Olympic conquests.

If there were a list of most heartwarming moments during the 29th Commencement Exercises, Rey Burnel putting his medal around his father's neck got to be atop the heap.
No matter how brief, that moment left some eyes leaking like a busted faucet.
His father is Kuya Ruel, who has been serving YAIS as part of the utility staff for more than two decades now.
To say that Kuya Ruel is a dedicated member of the YAIS family is an understatement. He clocks in very early in the morning when everyone else is still buying pandesal or is still sound asleep. And he does pretty much everything.
Mabuhay ka, Kuya Ruel! And goodluck on your new journey, Rey! 🫶🏻
Former YAIS ace Jireh Alcala has embarked on his college basketball journey with the Philippine Women's Univeristy. 🏀
Alcala played a pivotal role in the team's podium finishes in various leagues in Las Piñas City. He recently helped the Greatman Goats wind up third in the CBL Joshua Cup.
Best of luck, Ji!

Three top notchers begin their journey as typical high school students. But in an unexpected turn of events, they find themselves confronted by a cruel fate.
Follow their story in this short film TAKIPSILIM.
