Our PLEA that we had to translate in tagalog..
Good morning everyone.
My name is Issa Arong and I am best friends with Timmy Jean “TJ” Bejoc, one of four divers who went missing after the yacht MY Dream Keeper sank near Tubbataha Reef on April 30, 2023. With me is Krisma ( Lynn Lab) the sister of Nino Anthony Labrador and sister in law of Marianne Paz Labrador. I traveled to Puerto Princesa from Cebu to ask for assistance from the local police office and the local government in furthering our efforts to search for my friend and the other missing divers. I am now asking everyone who is listening to help us spread the word of our search. We are hopeful that as more and more people join the search, the possibility of finding them will increase. Any information or any lead would be greatly appreciated.
As their friends, we are deeply worried about the safety and whereabouts of the missing four, but our collective anxiety and grief cannot compare to that of their immediate families, especially their children. TJ’s daughter, Bella, lost her father (who was also a diver) back in 2015 in a dynamite fishing mishap, and now her mother has been missing at sea for 19 days. I cannot imagine how deep her sorrow is having to experience that kind of loss once again, and this time with the uncertainty of the outcome coupled with the looming possibility of her orphancy at such a young age.
The Labradors are parents of three very young children, the eldest of which is an 11th grader and the youngest a 3rd grader. All three are also facing the threat of becoming orphans at such tender ages. That’s why with all my heart, I am begging the government and all involved, to please give these children hope and comfort. 19 days is far too long for them to be separated from their parents with no assurance of ever seeing them again. We know you are doing what you can and for that you have our utmost appreciation.
So once again, I am pleading, please help us in our efforts in finding these four missing divers in any way you can. If you live close to the beaches and coastal areas, be on the lookout for them on your shores, hopefully alive. As we still have not given up hope that they’d be found alive and be reunited with us safe and sound. You can also visit our page “Finding TJ” to see what they look like and share our posts and help spread the word.
We hope this makes it across the whole of Palawan, to Sulu, to the whole country with your help.
We would also like to thank the Philippine Coast Guard in their non-stop efforts with the search and retrieval operations, the M/V Discovery for answering to the distress signal as soon as possible leading to the rescue of the 28 other passengers and crew of the MY Dream Keeper, we would also like to thank the diving community of Cebu, and the Tubbataha Mama Rangers for their prayers and support.
We hold firm in our belief that our God is a God of miracles and that nothing is impossible in the name of Jesus!
Please help us find TJ, Nino, Marianne, and the owner of the yacht.
