📣Police Station 4 Strikes Down, Siezes Over P63,240.00 Worth of Shabu.

In a meticulous operation orchestrated by the committed personnel of Police Station 4, supervised by PMAJ JUDITH B BESAS, the Station Commander, and executed under the leadership of PCPT ABRAHAM B IGOT, Deputy Commander, PS4 LCPO, and the overall command of PCOL ELMER S LIM, City Director of LCPO, notable events unfolded in relation to SACLEO from February 16 to 18, 2024.

On February 18, 2024, at 02:53 PM, in Marigondon Proper, Brgy. Marigondon, Lapulapu City, a buy-bust operation led to the apprehension of SLI @ Junard. The suspect, a 39-year-old male and resident of Purok Sambag, Brgy. Bang-Bang, Cordova, Cebu, was found in possession of 4.5 grams of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price of Php30,600. The operation was carried out in coordination with PDEA 7, resulting in the confiscation of incriminating evidence.

Later that day, at 09:06 PM, in Sitio Matab-ang, Brgy. Marigondon, Lapulapu City, PS4 conducted another buy-bust operation, leading to the arrest of SLI @ LJ. The 21-year-old suspect, residing in Sitio Whitefox, Brgy. Marigondon, Lapulapu City, was found with 4.8 grams of suspected shabu, valued at Php32,640. The collaboration with PDEA 7 resulted in the successful arrest and seizure of evidence.

All apprehended individuals were promptly taken to the PS4 office for proper booking and documentation. Subsequently, they were turned over to the LCPO Custodial Facility for temporary detention, pending the filing of appropriate charges. The efficient collaboration between PS4 and PDEA 7 underscores the commitment to maintaining law and order in the community.

PRESS RELEASE | Remulla: Case build-up vs erring cops in Mayo case moving swiftly

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Boying Remulla has assured the public that the wheels of justice is moving swiftly and fearlessly against individuals who were implicated in the 990-kg “shabu” drug bust in Manila last year.

This comes after the DOJ panel of prosecutors and members of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) held a clarificatory meeting on 15 February 2024.

The meeting is in line with Department Circular No. 20, s. 2023, ordering the prosecutors to take a proactive role in the investigation of crimes, particularly in case build-up where they may require, assist otherwise cooperate with the complainants and/or law enforcement agencies to determine whether a crime has been committed or if there is prima facie evidence to secure a conviction based on available information.

The discussion mainly focused on coming up with a concrete, credible, and airtight case against dishonest individuals linked to anomalous acts during the anti-illegal drugs operation, where former Police Master Sergeant Rodolfo Mayo Jr. was arrested for his involvement in the drug haul.

“I strongly urge the panel to work closely with the concerned law enforcement agencies and to thoroughly study all pieces of evidence to ensure that there will be no let-up in this case,” Secretary Remulla said.

“As the prosecution arm of the government, it is but imperative that we uphold the Rule of Law in the most efficient and expeditious way and at the same time within the bounds of truth, fairness and justice,” he stressed.

May mga kwento sa telebisyon o sa pelikula man ang marasap panoorin pero karaniwan dito ay mga kwento nga lang at gawa-gawa lamang ng malilikot na imahinasyon ng manunulat. Maari din na hango sa mga totoong pangyayari o karanasan ng may akda ng nasabing kwento. Hindi lahat ng ating nakikita o napapanood ay totoo.

Narito ang isang kwento na hango naman sa isang desisyon ng hukuman patungkol sa isang kaso ng pagbebenta ng ilegal na dr**as, na hindi mo aakalain na sa pelikula lang nangyayari.

Ayon sa impormasyon, si "𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘫𝘶𝘯" ay hinuli sa pagbebenta ng "𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘶" sa isang pulis na nagpanggap na bibili ng nasabing ilegal na droga bandang alas kwatro ng hapon, araw ng Biernes sa Lapu-Lapu City. Sa nasabing "𝘣𝘶𝘺𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯" ay nakuhanan siya ng kalahating gramo ng "𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘶" na nagkakahalaga ng isang libong piso. Umakyat ang kaso sa hukuman kung saan nilitis si "𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘫𝘶𝘯".

Sa harap ng hukom ay sinabi nyang wala syang kasalanan sa kasong ibinibintang sa kanya. Bandang alas kwatro ng hapon, araw ng Biernes ay nasa himpilan na sya ng pulisya. Sinabi nya na hindi sya sigurado kung mga pulis nga ang humuli sa kanya.

Araw ng Hwebes bandang alas kwatro ng hapon ng damputin sya ng mga pulis sa Cebu City. Sinakal at pinagsusuntok sya ng mga nagpakilalang pulis na hindi unipormado at sapilitan syang isinakay sa isang van at dinala sa Lapu-Lapu City. Pilit syang pinaaamin kung sino o kanino sya kumukuha ng "𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘶" na ibinebenta nya. Nagmakaawa sya na tigilan na ang pananakit sa kanya dahil wala syang alam at may sakit din syang hika.

Dinala si "𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘫𝘶𝘯" sa isang bahay kasama ang ilang pang tao na hindi nya kilala. Doon ay nakaposas pa din sila. May bantay sa labas ng bahay kaya imposible na makatakas din sila. Natulog na lamang sya ng gabing yun upang malimutan ang sakit na dulot ng pambubugbog sa kanya ng mga pulis.

Kinabukasan, dinala si "𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘫𝘶𝘯" at iba pa sa isang bakanteng lote. Doon ay nakita niya ang mga nakalatag na plastic na may lamang mga puting bagay na tila tawas at sa huli ay nalaman nya na ito pala ay "𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘶". Nanatili sila sa lugar na yun ng halos isang oras hanggang sa dumating ang ilan pang tao na hindi nya rin kilala. Kinuhanan sila ng larawan habang nagsusulat sa isang papel ang pulis. Pinapirma din sya sa nasabing papel, matapos na makapirma ang tatlong saksi na sa pagkakaalala nya ay mga kinatawan ng gobyerno at mga reporter.

Ayon sa desisyon ng korte, may katanggap-tanggap na pagdududa sa nasabing operasyon. Kung tunay nga ba na nagkaroon ng pagbebenta, ang palitan ng produkto at ng kaukulang bayad? Kung ang bagay o "𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘶" na sinasabing aytem na nakuha sa oras ng bentahan ay sya ring aytem na iniharap sa korte? Kaduda duda ang sinabing "𝘣𝘶𝘺𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯" kung ito nga ba ay naisagawa ng maayos at naaayon sa batas?

Sa mahabang proseso ng paglilitis, hindi kumbinsido ang hukom na naging maayos ang naging operasyon, ang paraan ng paghuli kay "𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘫𝘶𝘯", at ilang pang mga pamamaraan sa paghawak at pagbyahe sa aytem. Sa huli ay pinawalang-sala ng hukuman si "𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘫𝘶𝘯" at ilan pang kasama nito dahil sa hindi naging sapat ang mga ebidensya na syang naging sanhi ng kabiguan ng prosekyusyon na patunayan ang sala ng mga akusado ng walang bahid na pagdududa.

TOP STORY: A high-value drug personality was apprehended with multiple packs of shabu in an anti-illegal drug operation in sitio Matumbo, Barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City at 5:40 in the afternoon of January 26, 2024.

The suspect was identified as Argie Omolon, 28 years old and a resident of the aforementioned place.

Confiscated from Omolon were three packs of shabu weighing around 100 grams with an estimated market value of P680,000 and a buy-bust money.

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-7) and members of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office revealed that the operation was conducted following the reports and pieces of information they received from a confidential informant about the suspect.

It also added that the suspect can dispose of up to 300 grams of shabu weekly and they were already monitoring the suspect.

The pieces of drug evidence have been submitted for chemical analysis and proper disposition, while the suspect is currently being detained for the proper filing of a case for his violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — Adelyn A. Landiza/GMR

Kumpiskado mula sa nabanggit na suspect ang tatlong pakete ng hinihinalang " shabu" na may tinatayang timbang na 100 grams na nagkakahalaga ng ₱680,000.00.

Kaso sa paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 ang kakaharapin ng suspect.

MODERN PUJS ON THE CCLEX ON SINULOG GRAND PARADE
Modern PUJs with special permits will be plying the Lapu-Lapu City and Cordova to South Road Properties route during the Sinulog Grand Parade on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

UPDATE: The routes are:
🚐 Lapu-Lapu City (Looc -Babag) to SRP via CCLEX and vice versa.
🚐 Mactan Newtown to SM Seaside to Plaza Independencia via Marigondon crossing - CCLEX and vice versa.

The fare is P14 for the first 4 kilometers and P2.20 for every succeeding kilometer.

The CCLEX will remain open to all motorists, pedestrians, and bikers on that day.

Nanguna sa nasabing operasyon si PMAJ Aibert Jay Samson, hepe ng City Drug Enforcement Unit ng Lapu-Lapu City Police Office.

Kumpiskado sa nabanggit na suspect ang tinatayang 460 gramos ng "shabu" na nagkakahalaga ng ₱3,128,000.00.
