One of the biggest benefits an institution built on obstacles encountered is that, it opens up the possibility for new opportunities everytime. Lake Sebu National High School used such as stepping stones, not to close the door on the past but to simply embrace it to look forward for a brighter future, and embrace the circumstances of the present.
Over the years, LSNHSIANS has been filled with tranquillity, and were glided by bright rays of hope and anticipations of joy. The students's sense of coziness is a timeless reminder of people's achievement in the presence of resilience and determination. The school has resurrected from the ashes and it symbolizes the ability of a human spirit and the power of knowledge to bring the shadows of a great learning environment into limelight.
It was on the 7th of February, 1984 when the bright sun arised as it used to, but the day was an exception, as it it brings back not light alone, but a new life, and hope, and freshness to the Tโboli indigenous people of Lake Sebu. The Lake Sebu Barangay High School, now known as a Lake Sebu National High School was brought into existence. Since then, quality education bursted upon the community in clear and radiant glory.
With the first academic year in 1984-1990, guided by educators with exceptional expertise in teaching, Mrs. Arlene D. Wong, Miss Anabelee Nanagad, Miss Pacita Atibula-Parcon, and Miss Efe Ofong. They joined hands with Mister Sabere Blancafior, Surallah Central's District Supervisor who serve as the principal, with Mr. Lydio Banzon, as the assistant principal, which is the principal of Lake Sebu Central Elementary School.
By the School Year 1986-1990, the school had blossomed, utilizing make shift classrooms on the designated school sites, under the influence of the principal Mr. Jose A. Evangelista. The now prosperous LSNHS became a home to different students with the authority of the Mrs. Florencia I. Carmen, on July 5, 1999, establishing the NDEP center.
Despite its prosperity, Lake Sebu National High School was not without its challenges. In July 2004, Mrs. Carmen was reassigned to Bentung Sulit National High School in Tupi, South Cotabato. But indeed challenges intertwines with luck, as Principal II Mrs. Leolyn A. Simora assumed the role of Officer-in-Charge at the school and officially became the principal of Lake Sebu National High School on December 28, 2004. Making the school excelled in academic, sports, and arts endeavors illustrating a picture of excellence and sophistication.
Mrs. Simora's ability to lead has bestowed the school with significant achievements, as with her and other stakeholders in unison, strategic visions and collaboration are put into action. A symbol of the school's progress was incredibly visible through the growing figures of students. Her commitment resulted to an empowered community. The founding of the LSNHS- Multi-purpose Cooperative, educational innovations such as the Senior High School Programs, and Enhanced Safety Measures simmered beneath the surface, foreshadowing darker days ahead.
The discovery of the official school publication, specified as The Paradise News sparked a renewed interest when it guarded national awards, with the advisory of the Mrs. Alicia C. Villanueva. Who was honored as the Most Outstanding School Paper Adviser in the Philippines, during the National Press Conference (NSPC) on the year 2010. Following this, is the continuous magical strides of the school. As Mrs. Araceli S. Calixton achieved the honor as the Most Outstanding Values Education Teacher in the Philippines on the years 2013.
Modern constructions continue to unveil as times pass by. The leadership of Mrs. Araceli S. Calixton as principal I, urged the construction of a 3-story building, School water System, and Water Catchers, all for an ensured source of resources for the school. Her dedication and passion nurtured the school's community flagship program, DREAMSโ "Desiring a Remarkable Education Adaptable to Lake Sebunian children Mentored by competent and committed teachers with the support of the Stakeholders".
Ongoing progress reveals an astonishingly well-led school. With the strong leadership of Jeremiah Mosquera Jr., the school remains a comfort place to its students, providing them with a glimpse into productivity, enhancing the school's infrastructure.
As everything propels forward, the school is never an exception. It grew more with the visionary guidance of Mrs. Alicia C. Villanueva, transforming the student's educational experience to transcend boundaries. Lake Sebu National High School was awarded the Grand Slam in the best school partnership Report Card for the secondary level in south cotabato. Mrs. Villanueva was bestowed with the title of Outstanding Secondary School Principal in the year 2023 in the Dreamweavers Awards Division Search. With her unparalleled sight for success, she acquired the role of a Cluster Head of Secondary Schools in Lake Sebu.
Alicia C. Villanueva, serving as the Cluster Head of Secondary Schools in Lake Sebu District 1, has overseen a range of achievements that extend beyond administrative successes. Under her guidance, students like Edianne Son C. Alquino has garnered national acclaim in writing competitions, showcasing the school's ability to succeed in literary endeavors. Students have excelled in various competitions, from journalism to robotics, highlighting the institution's commitment to nurturing talent across diverse fields. Students have achieved notable success in sports and arts competitions on a national stage. These affirms Lake Sebu National High School's reputation as a dynamic educational institution where excellence thrives across multiple disciplines.
As the sun sets on Lake Sebu National High School, casting golden hues of hope and bliss in its students. Today, LSNHS through its effective leaders stands as a testament of boundless possibilities. It lives on in the hearts and minds of all who are touched by its tragic beauty and profound significance. LSNHSIANS are reminded to treasure the past, to embrace the present, and to shape the future with courage. For in LSNHS, they find the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
