Jazak Allahu khayran (May Allah reward you with goodness).
Dr. Abdulhamit Durakoglu
Consultant, Harmony and Wisdom Foundation
A million thanks to you.
Dr. Durakoglu during his lecture title: Fasting and Developing Self Control said β Ramadhan is the solution to 17SDG's (Sustainable Development Goals) by 2030 which was established by the United Nations in September 2015.
It was made when 193 member states unanimously adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for post-2015 development agenda including the Philippines to End Poverty, Fight Inequalities and Tackle Climate Change.
Dr. Durakoglu points out SDG 1 (calls for an end to poverty in all other forms) and SDG 2 (Creating a world free of hunger) by 2030.
This is the meaning of Ramadhan β To be humane, to form empathy to others. Ramadhan is the the Solution to 17 SDG's. Yes, Rich people can lend a helping hand, it's true. But, something is missing. Becoming a poor β Rich people doesn't experience to put their foot on the poor ones. And RAMADHAN Does.
Ramadhan advocates empathy to others especially to helping poor. Ramadhan takes us to prevent violent wrongdoings, and all other forms of wrongdoings. Ramadhan forbid us from eating and drinking during our fasting so that we may feel the feeling of hunger and thirst that the needy and millions of less fortunate people β we, may feel. Ramadhan is a time for repentance, supplications, and praising one God (the Creator, the sustainer, the all hearing and the all knowing). Ramadhan is about striving for moral excellence, how to become a better Muslims. Ramadhan is about doing Goodness. Muslims during Ramadhan get busy for community activities like feeding, charity, building schools, increasing knowledge in Islam, Quran Reading, Praying and all other forms of goodness.
Sweating during Ramadhan is not acceptable for a fasting Muslim. This is FALSE and a Misinformation.
Sweating in a non-beneficial activities during Ramadhan or wasting your time to activities not beneficial to Ramadhan is not acceptable.
