SSG Elections Successfully Conducted Through Genyo E-Learning Platform!

In a groundbreaking move towards modernizing student governance, Southland College-Junior High School Department have successfully conducted their Supreme Student Government (SSG) elections through the Genyo e-learning platform. This innovative approach not only facilitated a smooth electoral process but also engaged students in a meaningful way.

The SSG elections, which took place last week, saw active participation from students across various grades. Utilizing the Genyo platform, schools were able to allow candidates to register and share their campaign platforms effectively.

Students actively engaged in the electoral process, discussing ideas and voting securely. This shift not only empowered students but also fostered a sense of community.

Southlanders’ First Day High of the School Year 2024-2025

Empowered Southlanders are all gear up to go through another school year of challenges, growth and learning.

Together with the students, parents and teachers of every department, Southland College kicks off the back to school program with the presentation of its newly-instituted drum and bugle corps.

Dr. Juan Antonio Villaluz then expresses his warm welcome and leaves an important message to all- “Another school year is more than just an academic journey. It is all about discovering passion, building character and preparing what's ahead of the future.”

To keep vibing the day, members of the Dance Fusion Class show up their swag on stage through a dance presentation.

The program goes on with the formal introduction of the people behind the efficient school system- the institution's board of directors, executive officers, administrative heads and staff, and the faculty members.

As the end of the program approaches, Dr. Rhoda Amor reminds the students to get all the information they need on their first day of class as they head back to their respective classes.

To all the teachers and students, all the best for this school year!

Southland College Celebrates Remarkable Talents and Teamwork at P.E. Culmination Day

Students at Southland College demonstrates exceptional talent and teamwork during the Physical P.E. Culmination Day on April 30, 2024. Grades 7-10 showcases their skills through various performances, encompassing a wide array of arts and physical activities.

Grade seven students delivered two impressive musical performances. They captivated the audience with renditions of songs from Disney's "Encanto" and the hit musical "SIX," highlighting their acting and singing abilities.

Grade eight students showcased their prowess in dancing by performing the Filipino Indigenous dance "Sua Ku Sua," reflecting their commitment to cultural expression and artistic excellence.

The talented dancers of grade nine delighted the crowd with energetic performances of Cha-Cha and Zumba, demonstrating their flair for a Latin dance and aerobic exercise.

Grade ten students, known for their choreographic skills, mesmerized the audience with a dynamic performance that culminated in a collaborative dance involving all three sections.

The event's highlight was the teachers' Zumba, which showcased the educators' talents and sparked enthusiastic cheers from the students.

Overall, the PE Culmination Day event was a resounding success, providing an opportunity for students to have fun, showcase their talents and celebrate teamwork in a recreational setting.

Southland College students are sharing their creative works.

The Southland College Library was a buzz of creation this day at 1:30 pm as students from various grade levels displayed their literary ability. Poets Jaymiel Grace Vidal of the seventh grade, Lexi Skye Villian of the tenth grade, and Rykrr P. Encaja of the ninth grade delivered moving poetry, and writers Ashley Antonette Sanchez of the ninth grade, Thea Leenayr Tabayag of the seventh grade, and Kim Sng of the tenth grade contributed insightful pieces of writing. The celebration of young writers encouraged a love of reading among the students. Bravo to each and every one of the participants for their outstanding work.

With wings of pride, and hearts blazed the 𝘼𝙕𝙐𝙍𝙀 𝙂𝙍𝙄𝙁𝙁𝙄𝙉𝙎 were able to clinch the 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲, and proved that they have 𝖈𝖍𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖊𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖉 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖑𝖎𝖒𝖎𝖙𝖘 in the recently concluded 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧 2023 🔥✨

The Griffins win Volleyball (BOYS Category) against the Fervid Greenfinches. While the Greenfinches won the first set with a score of 25-17, the Griffins reclaim the game with a score of 21-25 during the second set, and a tight tiebreaker of 25-27. Congratulations Griffins! A game well done. 🦅🏆💙
