It was a long day when we checked in, so I didn’t get the chance to take a lot of photos for each UNIT. But if you visit their page, it’s literally “what you see is what you get.” And I must say, I had a truly perfect sleep. ( Slept at UNIT 1026. It was perfect decision to book the 2 units if you're a group of 8-9 )

It took me a few minutes to figure out why I was standing in a corner waiting. Dang! I realized I had opted to pay at the counter instead of using the kiosk.

Even though I still wanted to sleep, I had to get up, go outside, and pay the bills I needed to settle. I knew it—I’m still lacking sleep!

Working the night shift is challenging, especially if you're working from home—alone. It’s hard to complete 8 hours of sleep, and proper eating habits often get compromised.

If you're reading this and just woke up from a full 8 hours of sleep—be grateful. There are people like me who wish to sleep normally but can’t because working the night shift is their bread and butter. I’m just so glad I’m not working in a BPO anymore. If I were, it would be another struggle to deal with.

FYI—my first meal today was at around 5PM, after an 9 hour shift yesterday.

Before flying to HK, I had a hard time looking for a trench coat. I searched online but ended up buying one at a mall here in my local area. I didn’t have much choice but to get it because it was the closest match to the inspired outfit I saw online, and it was also the cheapest one I found.

When we arrived at the hostel, I noticed a foreign national with her backpack on—perhaps she was also checking in. After checking in, we went downstairs to the lobby to find something to eat, and to my surprise, I saw that same woman again. I was shocked when she approached me.

Her: "Excuse me, where did you get this?" (referring to my outfit)

Me: (paused for a second) "Oh, I’m from the Philippines. I purchased this locally." Then I smiled.

Her: "Oh, okay. I like it." 🙂

Me: "Ohhhh, thank you!" 😊

I felt good about it. It was less than a minute of interaction, but this compliment meant a lot to me.

It’s the little things that matter. ❤️

Sometimes, the things we consider insignificant might mean something special to others. It's a reminder to all and to myself to always be thankful for every little thing we have.

Working from home has also been a struggle. For one, I have been sitting for a straight 8-9 hours, which makes my back hurt, and I have trouble sleeping during the day. I enjoyed my first experience at SAM'S SLIM GYM Kabankalan, and I'm excited for the coming days!

Planning a trip to Resort Develdos in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental? Here's how you can get there:

🚌 From Bacolod City: Head to the South Ceres Bus Terminal and catch a bus or van bound for Hinoba-an or Sipalay. Travel time is around 5-6 hours. Once in Sipalay, take a quick tricycle ride to the resort.
