Your baby's movements are the best indicator of your baby's well-being and you are the expert in what is normal for your baby.

Every baby is different. It doesn't matter what your last baby did, or what your friend's or sister's baby did. Your baby will have their own pattern and the pattern is all that matters.

If you are concerned that your baby's pattern of movement has suddenly changed, your baby isn't moving as much as normal or if your baby seems to be moving too much do call your healthcare provider immediately.

Quite often, once you are in hospital your baby will start to move as normal again! Please stay to have your checks completed, it's important to have that reassurance.

And if you have been in for checks and your movements don't seem normal again, just go back to the clinic. No one is going to think badly of you and you are not wasting anyone's time.
