As I sit here at this cold, unforgiving terminal, surrounded by bustling travelers, I can't help but feel the weight of disappointment pressing down on me. You see, I made a choice to spend this special day here, hoping against hope that someone dear to me would show up and share in the celebration. But as the hours pass by and the terminal grows quieter, it's painfully clear that my hope was misplaced.

There are no pillows here, no soft comforts to ease the ache in my heart. Just hard benches and the relentless march of time. I close my eyes, trying to block out the noise and the sting of unshed tears. How did it come to this? How did a day that was supposed to be filled with joy and laughter end up feeling so empty?

I watch as families reunite with hugs and laughter, friends share stories and smiles, and lovers embrace with tenderness. And yet, here I am, alone in a sea of strangers, feeling more isolated than ever.

But even in the depths of this despair, I hold onto a glimmer of hope. Maybe tomorrow will bring something better. Maybe tomorrow, someone will come for me. Until then, I'll cling to that fragile hope and try to find some measure of comfort in the knowledge that I am not truly alone.
