Storytime!!! 💘💘

💛So, I have mentioned in my previous posts about what I do in life, a snippet of my career and training gigs.

💚And now, I will share a little more on how I got into my professional training with the Philippine Government's Executive Department of Information and Communications Technology.

💙When I decided to become a freelancer, that was also the exact moment I committed to a life-long learning and development for myself.

🤎I promised myself that now that I have control over my lifestyle while giving my best service to my clients, I will ensure to upskill continuously to do good in the online industry.

💓I am constantly browsing on pages and reading confessions from my fellow freelancers. Some of them were suggesting DICT Training.

💕When I found out there was a training for Social Media Management, MY HEART SKIPPED A BEAT, and I IMMEDIATELY REGISTERED MY WAY IN.

What do I do? 🤔🤔

Hi, I am Jess, and the works I do in a nutshell is Social Media Management, Link Building, and Content Writing. 😎😎

I used to be a Content Writer at a State University for a year. Then, I became a Link Builder for a company based in Thailand. And currently, I am being trained as a Link Builder and Social Media Manager at an LLC based in Florida. 💪 🦾

Back in college, I would make pages connected with my account. I think I have more than five pages that I would use in interacting with my audience. But, I never knew that what I was doing before with my pages was called Social Media Management. 😅 😂 🤣

There are a lot of advantages and disadvantages of social media in businesses. ✨✨

One of these advantages is that you have a direct connection with your audience or your target market. Compared with the traditional marketing, having a direct relationship with your market enables a more accessible feedback loop. 👩🏽‍💻♾

In this way comes another advantage of social media which is being able to evaluate your performance. Seeing the metrics is one way of conducting an efficient social media audit. With this, you can create and recreate the best marketing strategy that you can use for your brand or your business. 💯💯

On the other hand, one downside of social media is, you can quickly get CANCELLEDT. Yes, Cancelled with a T. This is a slang term used when a group advocates a withdrawal of support to any public figure and even anyone. 🙅🏼‍♀️ 🙅🏼‍♂️

This "cancel-culture" is now very evident among millennials, Generation Z, and even the present generation born in 2010 and onwards, the Generation Alpha. 🔥 🔥

Are you being stressed out lately? 😣😣 Do you feel like you are so overwhelmed with the works that you have to do? Or maybe with the people around you? Your schedule? The weather? I can ask a lot more, but I would just like to help you reduce all the stress you are currently feeling. 🧐🧐

Here are four practical ways to release your stress:
Listen to a relaxing song
Pause and reflect
Take a short nap
Write it in a journal

You can choose to either do it all or do something that you think is fit for your situation. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Personally, whenever I feel overwhelmed, the first thing I do is to pause and reflect. By doing so, I can clear out my thoughts. In this way, I will be able to think well and sort things out efficiently. 🍃🍃

The second thing I do is to listen to music that I like. It is some kind of therapy for me, and I love the way music positively affects me. 🎧🎧

And if I am feeling the worst, I will write down my thoughts on a piece of paper, burn them. Then go to sleep to relax a little, then face my problem again. But this time, with a more vital fighting spirit. Aja! 💪🏽 💪🏽

Marketing Pillar #4: 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐮𝐞𝐬

Familiarity is what gets us hooked. ✨

If you see or read something familiar to you but is presented differently, it will still pique your interest.

We are drawn to people and situations that feel familiar to us, and that is called the "exposure effect."

💖 In content creation, I always make sure that I will be using texts or visuals that may be familiar to my audience. If you ask why, it is because we are more likely to extend trust to something similar to what we know.

💕 And that is one technique in making your content engaging. Our audience is more drawn to participate in your activities if they are aware of them.

💓 So whatever your plans and strategies will be, make sure to let them be known first. Your step one should always be in the awareness stage.

💞 If we exude familiarity in our branding, it is more likely to gather trust within your audience. And if there is trust, there will be loyalty.

Here are some Social Media Management Dos And Don'ts for Social Media Managers and business owners, and to anyone currently reading this. 💘💘

👍 Do optimize your profile. If you have a brand color, stick with those colors. If you have a Logo, emphasize your logo. If you have a marketing pillar, make sure your contents are optimized enough to match your pillars.

👍 Do separate your professional and personal lives. Having separate accounts will help you avoid spamming your friends and can help you build your brand for your business. Additionally, it will create a healthy boundary between your business and your personal life.

👎 Don't use too many hashtags. Using too many hashtags will not look good on your posts. Using less than 20 hashtags will already be okay for your content. Use your hashtags correctly to increase your online visibility and stay connected to your niche.

👎 Don't post content without researching about it. As responsible internet users, it is our responsibility to make sure that what we post is accurate and true. In this world full of fake news, let us not add to its proliferation and instead let us be advocates of the truth.

🥰 🥰 Do you like Instagram? Well, ME TOO! Apart from the IG interface being very simple, the visual side of me is pleased with all the photos and fewer texts. 👩🏻‍💻👩🏻‍💻

Here are three tips you can benefit from whenever you post on Instagram:

🤳🏼 Post daily: This is the best and most straightforward tip that I can share if you want growth. If you want a wider reach, you have to make sure to be seen. You should not only have Instagram posts, but you should also have Instagram stories.

#️ Use Hashtag: According to studies and based on my personal experience, using the hashtag will help your post make it more discoverable. This combination of letters and numbers preceded by the symbol # is clickable, and it categorizes your posts based on your hashtag.

💃🏼 Utilize Videos: With the recent studies on market research, it is now evident that our audience is now more entertained with videos. Based on analytics and metrics, videos have better performance than photos and texts only. These types of studies show why Social Media Managers like posting stories, and many people are now engaging on platforms that focus more on video interactions.

Heyyyy!! 🙋‍♀️

So much for the mommyhood thread --
So, for today, I will be sharing with you one of my firsts in life! So last November 26, 2021, I guested as a speaker to a webinar!🥰

I am still so happy with the experience. I did not imagine myself as a Guest Speaker to anything --like, absolutely NOTHING.

But lo and behold, an old friend of mine suddenly messaged me and asked me if I wanted to be a guest speaker at the webinar that their class would host. 🤩🤩

And automatically, my thoughts went blank, and I immediately said YES. 💕💕

I did not know what to do, but I still grabbed the opportunity because I knew the experience would bring me good fortune.

And suddenly, my heart was soooo happy because I think God is helping me develop myself more through this experience. 💞💞

Every day I strive to be a better person, I always want to develop myself, and this opportunity is fantastic. It may not be a big deal to others, but for me, it means a lot!! 🧡💛

Here I am again sharing my thoughts and wonders as I embark on this MOM journey. 😍😍

When I became a mom, I instantly got to work 24/7!! (Excluding the time when I sleep, though, because -- of course 🤣😝)

👉 I work as a mother, tending to the needs of my child,
👉 I work as a housekeeper, always maintaining the cleanliness of the house for my child,
👉 I work as a chef, cooking the best food for my picky eater child,
👉 I work as a Marketing Assistant focusing on backlinking for four hours in the morning,
👉 I work as a Social Media Manager in the afternoon until night,
👉 I work on my school works as I am pursuing my Master's degree,
👉 and I work on myself for the betterment of my well-being to continue to help others in their business or by just being myself in their lives.

You see, all this work is taking a toll on me sometimes.
But what do I do? I hug my daughter for a good minute and kaboom.

I am healed instantly. 💗💗💗

💚 How do you avoid burnout? If you are running a business, you must always be on the go.

💜 I understand that sometimes, you tend to overwork yourself to achieve your goals. And that is entirely understandable, so no worries about that! BUT, you must also take good care of yourself and make sure that you handle all this busyness in your life well.

💕 I care too much for my clients; that is why there are 4 five ways where you can avoid burnout!

1. Make sure to take breaks. ( Have you heard of the Pomodoro technique or time blocking? Those are time management techniques you can use, so you will be forced to take breaks!)

2. Adhere to your schedule. (WE don't want to miss anything important, right? Let us keep being organized!)

3. Set up a workspace. (Trust me, this one is IMPORTANT. Avoid your bed, or you might find yourself sleeping again!)

4. Reach out for help. (If you have too much on your plate already, make sure to share your tasks with your Virtual Assistant. As someone who is always on the go with their business, it's always nice to have an extra helping hand.)

I would be lying if I said that I am 100% consistent.
But I am trying my best, though.

Some days, it gets really tough. But we have no choice but to move on.

💗 Sometimes, we are being tested with the obstacles that life throws at us. We are challenged with unforeseen circumstances.

💗 But in order for us to get through it, all we need is to stand our ground, trust ourselves, and just keep going.

Life may pick on us sometimes, but all we got to do is do what we have to do.

💗 Goals will not just happen in an instant. Instead, we have to act on it for it to happen. We have to stay grounded and constantly be reminded of our goals - our North Star.

Goals should not only be written. It should also not stay in your thoughts nor at the back of your head. Rather, your goals should be put on your to-do list. Break them down into tiny pieces, act on them, be consistent, and trust yourself. 🌟

Hey, guys! So if you have been following me, you would have noticed that I have been sharing my Marketing Pillars.

These Marketing Pillars are what I consider the stronghold of my contents. I would always base my content on these concepts. I treat these pillars as my North Star in enabling strong content creation.

Ever since I was a child, I have never imagined myself working at an office. I thought of it as something boring. It is boring because you have to wake up early and be at the office before 8 am, and go out of the office at 5 pm. And do it again for five days a week. 😳😳

I don't like the thought of having a routinary job, and not being able to handle your time freely because there are rules that you have to follow and you will get punished if you don't abide. 🙄🙄

I don't like that!!! Seriously. And that, my friends, are one of the reasons why I switched to freelancing. But of course, we have different experiences. But in my case, now that I am an Independent Contractor, I am able to control my time, according to my preference without compromising my job, and even improving the quality of my work performance. 🤩🤩🤩

And the most important part is, I get to be with my daughter 24/7.

I so loveeee my life. 🥰🥰🥰
