Pastor Kids are human beings. 💛
This letter was in my mind a month ago when me and the Lord had a conversation and I was telling God about my questions and yes, He spoke to me through His Word and I was about to write this last week but I didn't because I doubted myself that I may not deliver it well to everyone but earlier God spoke to me after someone did say and talks about them — to Pastor Kids.
Many times I heard a lot of people say words about them. I do also, oftentimes in my thoughts.
Always heard these judgement words and asked,
"Diba Pastor Kid yan? Bakit ba ganyan, nagrerebelde?"
"Diba anak ng Pastor yan bakit mas good example pa yung iba?"
"Diba anak ni Pastor yan bakit kapag wala sa simbahan mukhang unbeliever?"
"Hala! Bakit hindi siya namamansin?" At marami pang iba.
I remember myself asking the same questions to the Lord and there's one question that really wanted me to have an answer and this "Lord, can I see them like how you see them? Despite these questions I had and heard?"
Then God made me realize one thing through this verse that we all are sinners and no man is righteous. So Pastor Kid is not also a righteous.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. Romans 3:10
We used to believe as a Christian that Pastor Kid must be that perfect. I mean, tinatanaw natin sila na dapat hindi sila magkasala or ma failed. That they are excuses of sin and temptations or ano pang maka mundo. Na dapat good example sila palagi. Not knowing that they are just a human being too, like us.
And God reminds me that even if you are a Pastor Kid you are not an excuse of temptations, sin and failures. Minsan pa nga, not because He/she is a Pastor Kid, he/she is saved. (hindi ibig sabihin na saved ang parents mo bago ka ipanganak, ay ganun ka narin. Salvation is individual!)
Then suddenly there's a lot of realization came into my mind and heart nga ako nga ang daming temptation ang nakapaligid sa akin how much more sa kanila na mas naka patong ang obligasyon ng pagiging example dahil anak ni Pastor na tinawag at pinili ni Lord? We all know that, the more you get closer to the Lord the more Satan works for us to depart on God. Sisirain ni Satan yung images mo for church to be ruined and stumbled!
My point here is, Ang anak ni Pastor is like you who face struggles of temptation, sin and failures.
Nasabi ko sa sarili ko, parehong tao lahat, kaya lahat tayo ay may problema, pagkakamali at minsan humaharap sa malaking hamon sa buhay bilang Kristiyano.
Then, I'm really guilty of this when God asked me through my conscience,
Have I asked to My Pastor daughters and kids how their day went? How are they?
Have I asked them what their problems are or offer them a short prayer?
Have I mentioned them to my prayers daily?
I felt sorry for being so selfish and not to realize that before but I'm so thankful to the Lord that he spoke to me about this because I know that it's not too late.
Youth/believer, if he/she is the Kid of your pastor, it doesn't mean that he/she cannot face temptation, commit sin and have failures.
They have their struggles also, specially that they are in the ministry, have you ever realized what kind of expectations people have of them? Honestly, if I put myself in their shoes, I would feel pressured too.
Let's not look at them as perfect beings. They face circumstances, struggles and have their own problems too because they are like you, we are human, a sinner. They have a sinful nature too.
Let's look at them how God wants us to look at them, —no, Like how God look us "SPECIAL"
Instead of judging them and talking about their wrong doing, why not correct and approach them in private and advise them through God's Word? Or let's pray for them, "Hindi yung chini-tsismis natin sila saiba." Look at yourself too.
People, we used to love our Pastor and His wife, let's not forget to include their children. 🥰
And to all Pastor Kid out there,
I may not know what you've been through and what kind of struggles you've been facing right now but I'm praying for you. I'm praying to look at you not as a perfect person but how the Lord looks at you. You are appreciated! Thank you for trying your best to become a blessing to your church. 🥺
"Everyone, not because you are not a Pastor Kid it doesn't mean that you are not special. Be reminded that all of us are equal in the eyes of the Lord. We are sinners and Christ died for us."
Soul, let's not just focus sa tao, sa Lord mag focus. ☺️
