Disclaimer: I am not a professional Teacher but a Full-time Mother/Teacher to my Girls, below are my previous experiences with my Kids that might work for you as well.
Mindset shift is what I suggest for parents who teaches their kids the following. π
1. Alphabets in order from A - Z -
βοΈβοΈ kids will eventually learn the alphabet chronologically, so I would say that it is totally fine to show and teach them the alphabets in random
2. Teaching them the uppercase letters
βοΈβοΈ I would personally suggest to start with lowercase letters as that will be the most common letters that they will see in prints, or better yet teach both upper and lowercase at the same time. π
3. Teaching letter name examples before its sounds
βοΈβοΈfor me it's more relevant to teach them the sounds of the letters rather than the name examples as it will be a solid foundation as to their readiness to read.
