José Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonzo Realonda, commonly known as José Rizal, was a patriot, writer, and revolutionary. His works, such as Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, exposed the injustices of Spanish colonial rule and inspired the Filipino revolution for independence. He was executed on December 30, 1896, for his unwavering fight for freedom, making him a symbol of courage and nationalism.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of José Rizal, a true hero of the Filipino people.

The tree-planting activity is in collaboration with Citadines Amigo Iloilo and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office Iloilo.

Today, we celebrate Bonifacio Day, a tribute to Andres Bonifacio, one of the greatest heroes in Philippine history. Known as the "Father of the Philippine Revolution," Bonifacio founded the Katipunan, a revolutionary society that fought for the country’s independence from Spanish colonization. With his courage, leadership, and vision for freedom, Bonifacio inspired countless Filipinos to rise against oppression and dream of a nation free and sovereign.
