"If you can't fly, then run, if you can't run, then walk, if you can't walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward," was a quote from Martin Luther King Jr. My friends, this was an illustration of a man with a plan, a goal, and a vision. 👓👍🏼
☁️ Fly
What does flying entail? How did Dr. King fly high? Martin Luther King, Jr. rose above the gloom. For instance, many individuals claimed that his marches, speeches, and actions would not alter the law. However, he continued to defy those who questioned him. By ignoring his disrespectful and negative behavior, you can continue his fight for social justice.
👟 Run
In spite of all odds, Martin Luther King Jr. ran. He continued to advocate for equal treatment despite being detained more than 20 times for protesting. He received terrible treatment. His house, for instance, was bombed and set on fire. He even got stabbed. However, he continued to fight for justice. By standing up for what is right, you can join him in his quest for justice.
🚶🏽Walk
Martin Luther King Jr. stated in his well-known "I Have a Dream" speech that one day children of white and black parents would be able to live together and that one day sons of former slave owners and sons of former slaves would be able to live together. Take a look around; we are examples of his dream coming true. We can all continue walking side by side to keep his dream alive.
🐾 Crawl
During Martin Luther King's time in prison, numerous attempts were made to halt the movement for equality. However, despite the slowdown, he continued to advance. We must continue to move together with a purpose, a plan, and a vision, just like Martin Luther King did.
Here's a motivational quote for each and everyone of you that no matter how hard the challenge and consequences you may face always lift your heads up and just keep moving forward 💪🏽
