November 1937. Gingoog Chinese Chamber of Commerce with the officials of the Chinese Embassy. The Consul General went all the way to Gingoog to visit the Chinese merchants. The house is still existing and located at Condeza Street. I lost my file of the names of those in the picture. May we request the Gingoognon Chinese baby-boomers to identify those in the photograph. Some of the gentlemen in suits and seated in front could be the embassy officials.

This is the home of Gaw Tian To. The building was constructed in 1881 and is still standing today, made of durable hardwood.
This building holds a notable distinction as being the first to sell gasoline, specifically under the Caltex brand. It also served as a shop for batteries and other materials used for early home lighting, as Gingoog did not have electricity during that period. Additionally, Gaw Tian To was the owner of Gingoog's first ever gasoline station, the Caltex Gas Station, which, although no longer in existence, was previously located at the corner of Guanzon street and the national highway, the same spot where the Mr. DIY store currently stands.
