Nakapagpahinga ba ang lahat? Naging masaya ba ang Holiday Season? At panghuli... Handa na ba ang lahat sa darating na Second Semester?

Marahil ay tuloy-tuloy parin ang usad ng oras dahil sinong mag-aakala na pasukan nanaman sa Enero 16, 2025. Mapapa-isip ka tuloy na... "Parang dinaanan lang natin ang Pasko't Bagong Taon nang ilang minuto lamang."

Ganon talaga ang buhay MSUan... maingay at mausok ngunit puno ng pangarap. Sa bawat pasok natin sa ating mga silid-aralan, sana ay bitbit natin ang ating pangarap at determinasyon sa bawat hakbang sa institusyon.

𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬

So shall the eager student step forth unto the daring yet cautious grounds of the H building where all know too well about the ecstasy of a fine grade along with the harshness of INC’s and lucky 5’s. Despite dangers, all seniors know of memories of their own misbegotten escapades on their enrollment as junior scholars of engineering.

Lines and payments, stacking papers almost stapled in their beautifully chaotic way, and amidst the end of the journey, a thought approacheth, ‘Where to go afterward?’ Of course, one asks their seniors for guidance, yet all are too cautious of the dangers of pretense, are they not?

Yet despite the wisdom of experience floweth through the memories of senior scholars, all know of dangers that are conceived of pretense from which grave guidance is needed most especially to the wide-eyed scholars of engineering. Might such wise eyes not hide malice behind the guidance of every word? Truly one should know that aid is from not of voice but of heart.

Seniority is best deserved by those who are eager to guide, not out of one’s own benefit but for the benefit of such future scholars. When the time comes from which guidance is needed, answer forth without malice, guide forth with the wisdom of experience, for thou’rt a scholar from which other scholars shall build forth, shall it not?

Today, let’s put down our calculators and pens, setting aside the stress of removals behind, and embrace the joy of a fresh beginning. This is our time to celebrate not just the turning of the year but also the resilience and passion that drive us to keep going, no matter the odds.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 is a blank canvas, waiting for us to create new blueprints for stories of success and inspiring ideas. Challenges may arise, but so will possibilities for growth, innovation, and brightness. Let this year serve as a reminder that every difficulty is a stepping stone, every failure a learning opportunity, and every victory—no matter how small—a tribute to our commitment. Ngayong pagsalubong sa year 2025, ating isapuso ang season of new beginnings at ilaan ang oras sa pamilya at pakikisaya. Ngunit bilang iskolar ng bayan, palaging nakasunod ang mga responsibilities natin bilang mag-aaral, lalo na kung nanaisin pa nating manatili sa institusyong ito.

Bilang MSUan, it is always life and death. So, saan ka sasama? Saan ka makikibilang? Ano ang mas matimbang?

Have a blessed and joyful New Year, Asteegs! May the year 2025 be full of manifested hopes and success. And also, good luck with the upcoming removal exams and the coming of the second semester.

Mga kapwa Iskolar, bilang tagapagmana ng tapang at sakripisyo ng ating mga bayani, nawa'y pag-alabin natin ang pagmamahal sa bayan sa ating mga puso. Gawin nating panahon ng pagninilay at nasyonalismo ang araw na ito. Sa init ng mga pagtitipon ng pamilya at saya ng Kapaskuhan, alalahanin natin ang mga bayani na nag-alay ng kanilang buhay upang makamit natin ang kalayaang tinatamasa ngayon.

Magsimula tayo ng mga makabuluhang hakbang—pagpapalalim ng kaalaman, pagtulong sa komunidad, at pagsusulong ng mga diskusyon para sa ika-uunlad ng bayan. Tulad ng pangarap ni Rizal para sa isang maliwanag na bukas ng ating Inang Bayan, ipasa natin ang kanyang sulo at liwanagan ang daan para sa susunod na henerasyon.

Sa panahong ito ng pahinga mula sa pag-aaral, gawin nating makabuluhan ang ating kasiyahan, at gawing paghahanda ang ating pamamahinga para sa kinabukasan na puno ng paglilingkod at progreso. Maging mapagmalaki bilang Pilipino, masigasig bilang MSUan, at matatag bilang tagapagpatuloy ng mga pangarap ng bayan. Sama-sama nating ipagdiwang ang Araw ni Rizal nang may nag-aalab na puso bilang Iskolar ng Bayan! Para sa Bayan!

𝑴𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓

At last, the most wonderful time of the year sets upon the weary scholars, eager to lay comfort upon the embrace of their loved ones. A final gift from the house of H to the humble student engineers; work, assignments, and removals.

Joyful are holidays yet tiresome are its gifts. Where desks are filled with assignments rather than feasts, and nights awoken over notes and lessons rather than the games one wishes to enjoy, bothersome are these, yet they must be completed, and enjoyment mayhaps shall be rescheduled at another time.

Alas, and hear forth, though such time may be filled with tasks, one must still enjoy the embrace of those they cherish, the ones that embrace the teary-eyed scholar. For lessons are learned with love on mind and soul, let nought but the weight of responsibilities stop the festivities.

Yet remember, the responsibilities are never gone so one must face it once the festivities are led to an end. So grab thy notebooks, play thy videos, learn thy lessons, and celebrate this most wonderful time of the year as scholars of future engineers.

𝑹𝒐𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏' 𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒆, 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑨𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑻𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏-𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆!

Ah, the sweet sound of silence in the H-building as the ASTEEGs packed to head home. Gone are the days of sleepless nights, frantic cramming, and endless cups of coffee. Yes, it’s finally over! And what comes next? The holidays! This season is the most wonderful time of the year when we can rest without academic stress. Let the holiday rush begin as the realization sinks in—you survived! It’s finally December (yay), not December (huhu).

Stress and tension are real in the H building, but the source of hope, happiness, and healing exists in our H—home. May you find your hope once again and renewal of minds in the sweet embrace of our family - the reason you thrive, the reason you strive, the reason you persevere. This break is not just a well-deserved pause; it’s a gateway and a perfect opportunity to revitalize your health, recharge your soul, and channel your inner joy. With our minds free from the weight of exams, embrace a world filled with holiday lights, family warmth, healing, happiness, and hope.

The season of Christmas after final exams isn’t just about letting loose; it’s about celebrating achievements, acknowledging the year we’ve lived, and recognizing the people we’ve met who made our Engineering course bearable for us – the real gifts and treasures we’ve ever received. So, as the lights twinkle and the carols play, make memories now that will carry you through the next semester, armed with stories and smiles. Because if you can handle finals, Christmas is just the cherry on top of your academic sundae!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫

Alas, the day has already passed since the notes were opened. Staring upon the sands from which time passed by. Deadlines, projects, assignments, and, dreadfully, final exams. Staring behind heaps of paper soon bearing the weight from which the soul grows weary, a site to behold yet ultimately a mountain to climb.

Tightening, grasping, unnerving feelings of grief befell upon the scholar; mayhaps the teardrops already fell, but none noticed, knowing time seldom cares when a soul wails in its defeat. Perhaps the fair-knowing ones know of a cause they go forth; some seek the solemnity of a peaceful life, even leaving the paths they once pave. Hark though, tired soul, for the scholar never is alone.

Despite the reckoning of crammed weeks, sleepless nights, and defeated days, a scholar does not know the sweetness of victory if not for the bitterness of defeat. Should a noble scholar ever lay down when a step can still be made? Shall the scholar declare defeat when a chance can still be taken?

Hark, fellow scholar, taketh upon your pens, the guidance of your books, and the wisdom of your videos. Declare not in defeat if so another day rises forth, charge unto the sunrise with might on hand, battered the body maybe, the eyes tired, yet the soul remains ablaze, knowing one day a scholar too shall take the title, Engineer.

Worry not if today is a defeated day; for so long as the sun rises once more, there's still a chance to seize a victorious day.

𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗞, 𝗠𝗔𝗛𝗔𝗟! 𝗗𝗢 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟, 𝗕𝗢𝗦𝗦! 𝗙𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚, 𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗚𝗔!

Ang tanong, mayroon bang taong magsasabi sa iyo niyan?

Ngayong finals season na at papatapos na ang semester, sino o ano ang motivation mo?

Mayroon ka bang bebeluvs na palaging andiyan upang bigyan ka ng full support? Jowa mong kayang gawin ang lahat upang gumaan ang lahat ng bagay? O kaya naman si crush, na sumusulyap lamang sa gilid, sapat na para ma-motivate ka na pumasok at magreview sa major subjects mo. Sa mga fur parents natin, ang mga lambing ng ating mga alaga ay sapat na upang mabigyan tayo ng rason upang magpatuloy.

Tunay ngang mahalaga na may mga taong andiyan sa atin at nagbibigay nang malulugod na papuri lalo na at hindi sa lahat ng bagay, magaan ang ating mga pang akademikong gawain. Importante na ang mga tao sa ating paligid ay nakatutulong sa ating mental health sapagkat ang mahalaga ay may nasasabihan tayo ng mga bagay-bagay na mahirap intindihin dahil di sa lahat ng oras, tayo ay malakas.

Kahit sino o ano pa man ang motivations natin, ugaliing magsumikap at isipin na nariyan ang mga mahal natin sa buhay na naghihintay ng ating tagumpay. Isang semestre na naman ang magtatapos at ating baunin ang mga aral na ibinigay nila.
